I can't forward a picture after taking it.

I have to close the camera app and then go to the 'photos', then open the photo and then forward it.  What gives?  I must be missing something super obvious here.
**I can't believe this.  I have been dealing with this for months and I just retried it and now it works.**  Arrrgh.

When you take the photo, you will see a little version of it in the bottom left-hand corner of the Camera window. Tap on it and it will open the photo, and provide you with the little box with arrow. If you click on that, you will then go to a screen that has Next in the upper right-hand corner. Tap on that, and you will get the various options to send it.
Cheers,

  • Can't find the pictures after moving the library to EHD

I followed the instructions of moving the iphoto library to the external HD. I created an alias and moved it to the Pictures folder. I opened IPhoto and I can see all the events and thumbnails, however when I try to open any picture and I get the message that the picture is not found. I guess is that the picture files are located outside the library. the library has the pointers to the old folders....
I have 17000 pictures, how can I find each of them?
I tried opening IPhoto with the "option" key pressed and choosing the library in the EHD. I get the same result. I can see all the events and thumbnails but It can't find the pictures.

Did you try opening and checking the validity of your library before you copied it back to the EHD? By not finding some of the photos do you mean you get the "!" window when you double click on a thumbnail?
If so then try the two fixes below in order as needed:
    Fix #1
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache files that are located in the User/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding the the Option key. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
    Fix #2
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library. Select options #1 and #6.
If all else fails create a new empty library on the EHD and do the following: sart over with a new library and import the Originals folder from your original library as follows:
Creating a new library while preserving the Events from the original library.
    1. Move the existing library folder to the desktop.
    2. Open the library package like this.
    3. Launch iPhoto and, when asked, select the option to create a new library.
    4. Drag the Originals folder from the iPhoto Library on the desktop into the open iPhoto window.
This will create a new library with the same Events as the original library if you have the Finder checkbox unchecked in the Events preference pane.
Then you can compare the number of photos between this library and the other to see if either is more complete.

  • IPhoto 5 can't find my pictures after installing a new hard drive.

I had a corrupted hard drive which I was able to get going again with Disk Warrior. I backed up my i Photo Library on external storage and then installed the new drive and reinstalled OS 10.4.10 on my old G4. I then installed iLife 05 and tried to open iPhoto. I got an error message stating: "You can't open your current iPhoto library using this version of iPhoto".
After I read the iLife 05 missing manual I found out that you shouldn't save iPhoto files this way. I can't imagine having to burn DVD's in order to save picture files. What ever happened to "it is intuitively obvious on the Mac".
Is there any way for me to recover these picture files? I downloaded an iPhoto library manager but that was no help. Is this file recovery problem easier with iLife 08? I am getting a new iMac later this week with iLife 08 available with it..............donn

    Problem solved
I moved all of the iPhoto files into trash and then restarted the machine and reinstalled iPhoto 5. I used my oldest iphoto library file and everything worked. I was a little surprised that the install program was not more selective in picking up a library file.
Everything is working fine now. Thanks for your help....donn

  • Can't see my pictures after installation on new PC.

As a student in 2011 I worked with PhotoShop CS5. Now I have finished the studies, bought a new PC och have had help (of an it-expert, but not used to this program) to install the same program. Problem is that I cannot see my pictures at all! When I try Bridge- the same. What I see is only the symbols of the desk.
What am I to do? Reinstall and try again? But: what happens  with my two licenses? Gone with the wind? Cannot afford to buy a new one. I am not technical at all, that's a problem. So please, try to explain this very simple!

As far as license management goes, you can deactivate the license yourself on a given machine by choosing Help - Deactivate...  If the machine is no longer available, you can call Adobe customer support, explain your situation, and they'll help you reconcile their online database to match the systems you actually have in use.
Regarding your "can't see the images" issue...  C.Pfaffenbichler is right, more information would be helpful.  Don't assume you have to uninstall/reinstall just yet.  You may have something basic, like a problem with your image file extensions or a cache that needs clearing.

  • Why cant i (still) immediately share a picture after taking one from the lock screen camera?

i put the question here because the ios section is only for specific apps... sorry.
seems a bit maddening that we are given such quick access to take a picture, but then have to open up either the photo app or whatever app we want to share the photo/video with.  makes taking a pic .3 seconds quicker kinda frivilous.

That is a new one. I haven't seen that before. You might have a hardware problem. Also may want to try to restore the phone and see if that fixes the problem. Also have you restarted the phone by holding the home button and the sleep/wake switch ignoring the swipe to power off message and then powering up the phone again?

  • Instantly Viewing Pictures After Taking Them with Image Capture?

Does anyone know how I can use Image Capture to instantly display images after I shoot them with my DSLR (Nikon D40)? My camera is in PTP mode and is recognized by Image Capture, so that's not a problem. What I can't figure out is if there's a way to trigger the downloading of the image as soon as I take it on the camera--by pressing the trigger and not, for example, by executing an Automator workflow. Thanks!

I fixed the problem. Now it is downloading photos over USB super fast with no problems.
I hope these steps will help other people who have the same problem.
I did the following steps from the previous post's Apple link:
Once you determine that your computer has a USB 2.0 connection, use the following steps to troubleshoot the connection between the device and the computer. Test after each step:
Update to the latest version of iTunes.
Plug the device directly into a high-power USB 2.0 port on the computer. If possible, use a USB port on the back of the computer.Avoid plugging the device into a keyboard, display, or standalone hub. The USB ports on these accessories may be low-power or only offer USB 1.x connections.
If you are using an accessory, remove the device from the dock and connect it to the computer using only the Apple USB to Dock Connector cable. If you have access to additional Apple USB to Dock Connector cables, try testing with another if the first one doesn't work.
Restart your computer and device. To restart your device:Hold the power button until "slide to power off" appears. Slide to power off your device. When it is off, press the Sleep/Wake button to turn it back on.
Disconnect all USB devices from your computer, except for your keyboard and mouse. Then reconnect the iOS device. If the issue is resolved, reconnect other USB devices, testing after each connection.
    Additional steps I took:
    * Quit every app that was running on the iPad, including some that might try to use the MIDI features over the USB connection.

  • Can i recover my pictures after i restore my ipod touch?

  • TS4036 I can not find my pictures after restoring my phone

How do i find my pictures???

You might try restoring your iCloud backup again.  Sometimes it's successful the second time.

  • Where can I find my pictures after a back up?

I syncronised my iPhone 5S with my computer and did a back up on it as well.

An iPhone backup is stored on the computer is a SQLite file. It cannot be read by just trying to open the phone. The sync does not put the photos on the computer. You need to import the photos to the computer if you want to be able to access them. See this support document for help in importing photos. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083

  • How can I retrieve my contacts and pictures after installing iOS6 on my iphone?

How can I retrieve my contacts and pictures after installing iOS6 on my iphone? Don't call me stupid! I was relying on iCloud to have backed all this up, but turns out it didn't work. Can anyone help me get my photos back - they were of my baby daughter. Also, I've lost all my contacts. Please help.

Unfortunately no. The only way the phone backs up is if you make it back up. You either connect to iTunes and backup and sync, or you set it up for a wifi sync to iCloud. But you have to setup iCloud to start with. You have learned a hard lesson on how to make sure you import pictures on a regular basis like you would the digital camera. When things happen to the phone, this is the media that is lost the most (pictures in camera roll). After taking a number of pictures, and especially ones you consider important, you should connect the phone to the computer and import them, so there is a backup copy on the computer.
Contacts are saved in the backup as well, however they are really designed to be synced to a supported application on the computer, or backed up to iCloud or other cloud service. And, the only way to go back in time on the phone is to restore from a backup, but you also have to remember, you would lose everything on the phone that you had done since that backup, so it is a double edged sword.

  • After taking a pix with my iPhone, it shows up in my Album.  But when I select it to look at it or forward it, it disappears and the screen is blank.  How do I fix this?

After taking a pix with my iPhone, it shows up in my Album.  But when I select it to look at it or forward it, it disappears and the screen is blank.  This doesn't happen with all of my pictures.  I have the camera set on photo, with HDR off.  How do I keep this from happening?

Not sure if this helps you, but I had the same issue. I inadvertently must have chosen a filter instead of none. Once I went and fixed this, my pictures were in my roll and I could see them. Hope this helps. I think you should be able to pick a filter and take a picture, but it worked for my phone.

  • E72 camera lagging after taking picture

I've had my E72 for a little over a month now, and I'm pretty satisfied with. I have recently come across an annoying problem though: When the phone has been turned on for some time (30-60 minutes) the camera starts to lag after taking a picture. The duration of this lag can be up to 40 seconds, and it is pretty annoying that I have to wait for that long between shots. If I turn the phone off and then on again the problem goes away for a short period and then returns. Has anyone else experienced this, and does anyone know what I can do about it?
    Thanks,
    Sune

I've had my phone for a while now, and just recently discovered that I have this issue too.  After I take a photo it takes 20-40 seconds of processing before I can take another, or before I can close the application.
I updated to the v22 firmware, but I didn't take photos before that so I'm not sure if it was like this from the start.

  • After taking 5 pictures with the 4S, the phone shuts down and restarts - all apps have been closed and software updated

We use the iPhone's at my job and they all have the 4S - one of the guys is having a problem when taking pictures.  After taking 5 pictures the phone completely shuts down and re-starts.  He has made sure that all apps are closed out, updated the software to the current one and that the battery is fully charged.  Can't seem to figure out what the problem is.  Anyone???

  • Unable to message, email, or tweet a picture immediately after taking it.

Most of the time I am unable to message, email, or tweet a picture immediately after taking it in ios5. I usually have to exit out of camera and go into my photos before I can send it.  I appreciate any help given.

For anyone who's curious, I was able to fix the problem by converting my old folder structure into single-layer labels. I guess Google still chokes on mail that is stored in multiple nested/hierarchical labels because it works fine now.
So NOT a good "solution", but at least it works in all email clients now.

  • How can I stop my camera from taking pictures every 15 seconds?

I am so frustrated!  I have a Droid X which has worked well for about a year.  Just today It has just gone crazy taking pictures.  One picture after another.  Every fifteen seconds or so, regardless of what I am trying to do---work on the internet, dial my phone, etc.  I can barely shut down.  I've taken out the card and the battery and have tried to change any camera and general settings that I can find.  Do you have any idea how I can get my Droid to stop?  Any suggestions at all would be appreciated.  THANKS.

You can't. What kind of USB device is that ?
