I can't get iTunes into iPhoto Slideshow.
Macbook Pro 13" OS Lion 10.7.3
Iphoto 11 version 9.2.1
Itunes 10 version 10.5.3
When I go to make a slideshow in iphoto from an album and I try to change my music to my playlist it just tells me to open Itunes so it can populate the list. I tunes is open! It has worked before, but not now. I have tried to do this in iMovie as well and it says the same thing.
Any suggestions?
This problem is typically from a defected or broken XML file in the Music library folder. In order to fix this, go to: ~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Library.xml
Either delete this file (Move it the trash) or move it to the desktop. Either way, iTunes will have to recreate it. First, of course, QUIT iTUNES!
If an error occurs (which is likely, because it is a broken file) and you cannot move or delete it, try deleting it with the Terminal.
Be very careful not to delete the wrong file. The Terminal doesn't simply move the file to the trash, it DELETES IT. Here is what you need to do for this:
Open up a new Shell and type: rm -rf
Then, to eliminate confusion or accidents, just drag the file to the shell and the exact path will appear after it.
Voila! It should be deleted.
Then, go ahead and open up iTunes. Rename a song or something and the iTunes Library will recreate the iTunes Library.xml file.
This works the same for just about any iLife application! If there is a problem accessing anything in the Media Browser, find the Library.xml file and delete it, then force the application to recreate a fresh, unbroken copy.

The file that I'm have issues with in itunes is the file called iTunes Libary.itl.
So just to get itunes to open I had to delete that file and then sync all of my music back into itunesday, is there anyway so I do not have to keep doing that? -

This is at the end of all the other tabs like info, ringtones, music etc. The music in that tab is always on my phone but does not show in my itunes library. How can I get it into my library? The new iTunes has a somewhat different look from the previous version. You can get the old look back if you prefer it by doing View > Show Sidebar in iTunes. Or you can adapt to the new look.

My old iPod Nano says to use iTunes to restore and I've followed all suggested help steps, but I can't get it into disk mode nor can I get it to show in my computer or in iTunes. I have the latest version of iTunes. Windows has all the most recent updates too. I can reset the iPod, but the message to Use iTunes to restore comes back and I am stuck.
Already tried another USB port, still nothing.
I don't have another PC to check, I only have one which is the one not working with my iPod.
It appears under my Computer, just not under iTunes. Plus, the iPod classic troubleshooting assistant doesn't work because I can't restore since it can't come up onto my iTunes! Even my iPod says "Use iTunes to Restore" once in a while, but I plug it in & I'm not able to restore it since it won't come up under iTunes.

I have a gen 3 ipod and can't get it into disk mode. In itunes it does not have the option and I cant figure out how to do it on the ipod touch itself. Any ideas?

I am new to IPhoto 9.51 and I think I missed a step when I uploaded my vacation pictures. I uploaded pictures but did not import them into the library. They are in L\last imported only. How can I get them into events?
If the Photos are under 'Last Import' or 'Last N Months' then they are in the Library somewhere, just not where you are expecting them to be. We know this as both Last Import and 'Last N Months' are not places, just listings of elements in the the Library.
The two most common reasons that they can't be found is either an incorrect date on the camera or the Sorting (View Menu -> Sort Photos - or Sort Events, as appropriate) has changed.
Quick route to find them: Right-click on one of the images in Last Import and select 'Show Event'. This will bring you to the image in the Library. -
I uploaded a CD. It's in my finder -- I can even play it from my finder. But I can't get it into my iTunes Library, which also means I can't put it on my iPod. Does anyone know how to fix this or a workaround?

Have a current movie on my computer and can't get it into ITunes so I can put on my IPAd. I tried dragging from desktop and nothing happens, also tried adding file or folder to library and nothing happens.
Convert your movie to quicktime or another format iTunes can play.
If you can add it and play it in iTunes, it will also work on the iPad.

Maybe try one of the WiFi transfer Apps? There are several to choose from. I use Photosynch quite often to send photos and videos between my computer(s), my iPhone, and iPad.

I am having major trouble trying to get photos into IPhoto. On my old macbook, I just had to hit the IPhoto button - I have hundreds of photos and events but now I have this MacPro when I hit the Iphoto button the photos just "disappear" into a document file on the dock and the photos are all contained in some kind of arcs....I'm not computer literate and spent 2 years in one on one just learning IPhoto Could some one out there please help me.?
What version of iPhoto are you using? Where are the photos coming from that go into the document on the Dock? What iPhoto button are you referring to?
