I can't get rid of iMesh search box - got rid of toolbar but not search box - it is not included in add-ons
I downloaded iMesh thinking it was just a normal music-streaming site. However, it downloads a toolbar and search box. I seemed to have deleted the toolbar with no problem. However, the search box is still there, to the right of the navigation box, and if I go to Tools - manage Add-ons, it is not listed there at all. Is there a way to remove the search box without uninstalling the program or is it better to uninstall it? My virus/anti-malware programs do not report any risks associated with the program and it is handy to find audio streams on the Internet, so I would keep it if it is not harmful. The search box is not causing any problems, I'm just concerned because it was put there without my agreement and does not seem to be removable from the Tools menu. I use Google or Norton Safesearch and would not use iMesh for general searches.
Hi Gnib, First go to start>control panel>add/remove Programs. In add/remove
programs there will be "Media Bar" once you click on it to remove it,then it says
remove "media bar 2.0". Get rid of that also. Now go into your "add-ons
and extensions". There will be something about the imesh toolbar. Uninstall
that. Go into start>programs. If imesh is there, delete that too.
If this doesn't work for you. Tell me what you first did to remove imesh.

I have connected my new Macbook Air to my existing Samsung large external monitor with a VGA adaptor but I can't get the full mac desktop to display. No icons but then websites are coming up. Help! Further info: I am a complete newbie to Mac. Had three macs prior to 2000 then four PCs. Just come back and struggling a bit with the unfamiliarity. On my old PC laptop I could simply switch from the laptop screen to the large external monitor (and back) with the F4 function key. While I can get the background image from my MBA to display, that's it. Until I noticed on the far left of the external monitor, the very edge of one of the web pages I was on. So Idragged it over to display in the centre. But that's all that's there. And now I have gone out of those web pages but they are still displaying on the monitor. There is some wierd disconnect. I'm sure it is just a setting thing. Will keep searching for answer but any advice welcome!
Your dsplay is getting extended onto the external monitor. Chcnage the setting to duplicate it or only display on the external monitor and you should be fine,

thank youOnly the original cellular provider can authorize unlocking. You will need to contact them to determine if they offer unlocking and if the phone qualifies.

Sounds like Zoom is enabled. Here's what to do.
Use "3" fingers and double tap on the screen to zoom out. then just go to Settings/General/Accessibility and turn Zoom off -

E.g. WABC, WNBC, WLIW and WNET come in at least 4 HD channels via my rooftop antenna but only one WLIW (non-HD) on Fios.
Bummer.
I can switch from the RF to HDMI sources but I thought with all of the channels I could at least get the ones I watch.

I assume you get the NJ versions of those channels?
Networks pay for exclusive programming rights within specific markets. Cable operators are only allowed to offer a specific set of local channels within their designated media market (DMA). If you aren't considered to be in the NYC market, then you aren't supposed to receive those channels.
Like many in the DC area, I can pickup the Baltimore locals with an antenna, but I as I live in the DC DMA, those are the only channels I receive from Verizon, Comcast, DirecTV, etc. Note there are circumstances where a customer might fall between two markets, living in an area with overlapping DMAs; in that case, the provider can choose to offer two different sets of locals. Verizon FiOS does do that in some areas.

I actually interpreted this as a carrier lock issue. If that is the case the OP needs to contact the UK carrier who owns the rights to lock the iPhone. Only that carrier can unlock it.
Was the iPhone unlocked by means of jailbreak software? If that is the case, then the reply from Phil McCafrey would apply to this as well. -

Some websites keep asking to enable cookies in my browser when they are and I can't get this sites to see that, they worked fine yesterday but not now. I've restarted the browser, restarted the computer, disabled then enabled cookies in the privacy settings and still nothing. Any help?

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.

To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.

I cloud worked fine for a while on the latest version of windows then threw up an error since then I can longer get the programme to run . I've reinstalled itunes but this doesnt help any ideas
It maybe worthwhile trying to uninstall and then reinstall the icloud control panel, if the issue is with your outlook.

I just purchased a movie and I can't get the iTunes extras to play, the unrated version plays but I want to watch the special features . Am I just stupid or is there something simple I am not seeing?

TS2776 can I get back my lost music that got deleted during sync process?
During the sync process my music 471 songs to be exact were deleted although I thought the option given said to remove and sync with this itunes library, can I get them back or is it a lost cause???? Hoping it is not, I just found my IPOD touch after it has been missing for more than a year!

how can I block a number that calls me persistently every single day but only shows 3458 it does not show the full 10 digit so on your block page will not let me block it!!! So frustrated and I am not answering it with all the hackers out these days I don't want to give them access to my phone.

I can understand your frustrations and concerns with receiving these unknown calls! I would love to assist you with preventing these types of calls.
Sounds as though you're receiving some type of telemarketing call. Although you're unable to add the shorter numbers to your call block list, you can definitely add your number to the National Do Not Call registry http://1.usa.gov/1whONxp. I hope this will help prevent those unwanted calls. Thanks!
