I can't remove my dad's credit card from my account, and there is no 'None' option.

My dad just recently got deployed to Iraq for a year. Because of this, he discontinued many things, like his cell phone, gym membership, etc. But he let his credit card expire, which happened last month right after he left so I could use it. However, since it's expired, I can't even update free apps anymore because I have to update the credit card information. Unfortunatly, my dad can't do this, so I'm stuck with an expired credit card on my account. Someone please help?

You can create an iTune and App Store account without credit card details
1. Sign out of current Apple ID if you are sign-in to one (important)
2. Go to App Store and select a free app
3. Tap INSTALL APP
4. Create New Apple ID
5. Confirm Your Country
6. Agree with Terms and Conditions
7. Fill in your Apple ID and Password (you must create a new Apple ID; don't use your old Apple ID)
8. Create and answer your secret question
9. Select NONE for Payment Method
10. Fill in Billing Address
11. Submit application for new Apple ID
12. Wait for verification email
13. When email arrive, verify your account
14. Start downloading your free apps

You'll want to get in touch with ITunes support for this. Normally when you start an account with the CC you can't remove it yourself. But by contacting iTunes they can get that taken off for you.

On your iPad tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account  - that should give you a payments link on your account's page. Or on your computer's iTunes you should be able to edit your payment info by going into the Store > View Account menu option and logging into your account, and on your account's details page there should also be a payment link.

Log into your account and manage the payment methods, this is done via iTunes on a computer.
Debit cards are not acceptable forms of payment.

How can I remove credit card from itunes account?

I'm not home right now, so don't have iTunes here. I am basing this on having to do this a few days ago, as well as pictures from Google Images, so things may have different names now...
Store (dropdown at top of iTunes screen)>View my account>Edit Payment Information>In the list of types of credit cards, the one at the far right says "None." Click that.

If you aren't getting the 'none' option on the payments screen on your account then do you owe iTunes anything or do you have any pre-orders and/or auto-renewing subscriptions due : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5366 ?

  • HT1918 How do I remove my credit card from an account?

My card was recently deactivated after a fraud. I want to remove my credit card from my account but I can't figure it out. I've tried going to my settings but it's not working and I can't get any new apps right now which is frustrating.

Open iTunes and select iTune Store on the left pane.
On the navigation bar, click on “Sign in”.
After logging in click on the arrow right beside your email address, and select “Account”.
Click on the “Edit Payment Information Button”.
You can now set the Credit Card option to “None”.
Click “Done” and the Payment Information box should show “No credit card on file”.
