Make sure that you aren't blocking JavaScript.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Flash plug-in not listed in the Safari installed plug-ins page

Dear all,
I'm running Mac OS 10.5.8 on a Intel Imac and I'm facing the same problem since the first time I wanted to upgrade the version 10 of the Flash plug-in.
I have different accounts and various internet browsers (Safari, FireFox, Opera, Chrome) only Safari, on my main account (admin), causes problems. Actually the plug-in (10.3) is properly installed in /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/, so common to all accounts (the users' Internet Plug-Ins folders are empty) and it is visible from the System Preferences application.

But Safari doesn't lists the flash plug-in in the installed plug-ins page and returns a missing plug-in error message as I visit any website containing a flash movie. When I replace the current plug-in with version 10.0.r2 it works fine.
Before installing any upgrade I first run the uninstaller, restart the computer and then install the newest version. I tried many things to fixe this very annoying problem without success. I'm not going to list all of them but I mainly cleared Safari and Flash Player preferences, Safari Cache.db, removed all other plug-ins (to check for conflicts). I also used some tools as Apple Disk utily and OnyX to repair disk permissions and fix other possible problems.
I would be very grateful if you could help me!

I have uninstall Flash Player Debugger and the Flash Plugin
removed all plug-ins from /Library/Internet Plug-Ins
Replaced all previous versions of Flash player by the latest version (10.3r183)
I ran all OnyX maintenance scripts and repaired disk permissions
After restarting the computer I installed the plug-in and replaced all previous plug-in version everywhere
e.g. : /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Flash Player/Flash Player.plugin
Restarted again and then launched Safari. The plugin is well in /Library/Internet Plug-Ins folder, but not listed in installed plug-ins list
I repeated this "procedure" several time, from different accounts, I also removed the admin rights on the problematic account and perform the installation from a new admin account without success!
I can drop any plug-in in the Internet Plug-Ins folder and I only have to refresh the the Installed Plug-ins page in order that Safari takes it into account. All, but the flash plug-in!
I really do no understand why Safari can't "see" newer plug-ins than the 10.0 version.
I'm lost and ran out of ideas!

Are you sure that you are not talking about the Kindle App? I might be missing it, but I don't see an Archive section in iBooks categories.
You can create a section for the books that you have read in collections in the iBooks app.
Tap on Collections, tap New - name it Archived if that is what you want to call it. Tap Done, then tap the bookshelf anywhere. Tap the Edit button, tap the books that you want to move to Archved - tap Move in the upper left and select Archived.

HT2801 I do not see my dvd drive listed in the devices area of my MacBook Pro. How can I fix this problem?

My optical drives is working on my MacBook Pro laptop. However when I insert a DVD of any type I do not see it listed among the devices. I see the Mac Hard disk drive, Skype, idisk etc but no drive "D" or the DVD Drive. This is especially fraustrating when I am trying to copy photos or a movie to my hard disk drive. Make sure you have the latest nik software many have had problems with Nik plug-ins.

I just installed extension manager 7.1 on a 2013 iMac running OSX 10.8.5, but it doesn't see any of the previously installed plug-ins.

If you installed EM 7.1 just now, how did you install plug-ins for PS (CC?)? Please note that EM CC only manages extensions for CC applications such as PS CC. PS CS6 will not be listed in EM CC (You have to use EM CS6.). EM 7.1 lists installed plug-ins only if you have installed them with EM 7.0 before and didn't delete database file when you uninstalled EM 7.0. If you installed those plug-ins manually or database file has been deleted, EM CC will not list them.

at start up my homepage displays on one tab and a new tab that suggests to update plug ins displays from mozilla and shows some plug ins and if they are up to date or not, I wish to disable this page but don't see any options or any link to show how to disable it.

Type or copy paste the following:
/Library/Internet Plug-Ins
Click Go.
If you see the: AdobePDFViewer plugin in the Internet Plug-Ins folder, move it to the trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari then try downloading a PDF file.

Using AudioSuite Plug-ins page 518

The manual specifically talks about using AudioSuite Plug-ins in the Sample Editor.
Until I can find the menu that they are talking about in the 1000 page manual Pro Tools is still a better audio editor than Logic Pro 8. Does anybody know where this thing is?

Not sure, since I don't have any of the old ProTools audiosuite plugins - perhaps the menu only shows up in the sample editor if you have any installed?

This is the error message I get when I log onto my Earthlink email program and onto any website. I don't see any solution to error messages of this kind on the troubleshooting page.

That is a fault with the 1Click Weather extension. Disable it or un-install it.

Logic doesnt see Uad plug-ins

I installed a new UAD quad and the plugs dont show up.. I am running 64 bit.. do I need to run logic in 32 bit? Restarted etc and tried a search but didnt find the answer..

You have to first run in 32 bit mode for it to scan the AU plugs for the first time, then you can launch in 64 bit after that
