I can't seem to sync my current email with my iCloud account, how can I get these to talk to each other?
My wife is cruising me everyday about her email not being sync with her MacBook and iPhone. I can't seem to match/sync them up. Any suggestion? I am using a none Mac.com, iCloud.com email address, is this allowable?

FYI: It seems it was a network problem with my WinXP PC. After complete deletion and new installation of XP and iTunes my iPhone will be recognized correctly, Wifi synchronization works (mostly) fine.

If your Mac is running OS X 10.7.5 or higher, you first have to go to System Preferences>iCloud, sign in with your Apple ID to create your account, then check Mail. This will automatically add an iCloud email account.
To transfer your AOL mail, you need to drag and drop them into the same folder in the iCloud account. If you have any folders in your AOL mail, you would need to create folders by the same name in the iCloud account, then open each folder, select all the mail in the folder and drag and drop them on the folder by the same name in your iCloud account. (To create a folder in the iCloud account, click the "+" at the bottom of your folder list, choose Create Mailbox, choose iCloud as the location and give it a name.) -
How do I transfer music off my iphone onto itunes on a new mac. I don't have the laptop I originally synced my iphone up with any more, so how can I do this without it?
I have tried to do this through home sharing but as I don't have the old laptop it wont let me.

Would be much appreciated.The iphone is not a backup/storage device. The sync is one way - computer to iphone. The only exception is itunes purchases. File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for this very occasion.

I have tried this and came to something strange:
- created a new library with the name imovie library 2
- imported the video to this new library -> succesfull - video stored locally
- drag and drop to the original library: a copy of the event is created in the original library HOWEVER this copy ahs the same issue, it refers to media on the camera and I can not see the video if I remove the SD card.
What can I do? -

No, unfortunately you cannot merge accounts or transfer any purchased content from one account to another. As I said Apple won't let you do that.

Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs.

iCloud doesn't have anything to do with texts or phone calls. Those are both tied to your phone number and SIM, not to an iCloud account.

I do not know the log in details and no longer have that icloud email address !!
please help :-(That's Activation Lock. You will need to remember the Apple ID and password you used to set up the phone.
If you can't remember them, you can go to iforgot.apple.com to try to recover the information.
If you are the original owner of the phone & have proof of purchase, you can try calling Apple to see if they can assist also.

If you are unable to send or receive email, try the following steps:
Restart the iOS device.

Try an alternative Internet connection.
If your email is provided by your Internet provider, try connecting from the home network.
If your iOS device has an active cellular data plan, try to disable Wi-Fi: Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn off Wi-Fi.
