I can't use iphone4s in china

i brought a white color iphone 4s at full price form USA. i take it back to china, found it can't support any network like china unicom and china mobile.
any one knows the reasom, the ios is 5.0.1. model is :MC920LL. i feel very angry. any one know the reason and way to fix it?

You'd think that someone from Apple would acknowledge this problem or offer a solution..
It is sad that Apple does not address this issue. The least it can do is find a way for the thousands of customers in China to downgrade iOS5.0.1 to iOS5.
The problem is with Apple's Head of China who did not report this problem as a red flag item.
Genius at Shanghai Apple Store was not even aware that there was an issue with China Mobile and iOS5.0.1
Apple is at risk of losing the millions of loyal fans.

The Magsafe autoswitches based on detected power.  You will likely need a wall adapter to alter ther US-based 3-prong to whatever is used in China.

P.S: For the iphone 4S. is there any difference for the one from online shop or the actual store?

iPhones purchased from the online Apple Store in Australia will be unlocked. To the best of my knowledge, unlocked iPhone are not available from the physical Apple Stores at this time, though you can call the Apple Store in Melbourne and inquire.
Note that the warranty on iPhones is not international, so if you purchase an iPhone in Australia and it needs service, you would have to ship the iPhone to someone in Australia to take or send to Apple for service and then ship it back to you.

if i buy a T-mobile's unlocked, contract-free iPhone 6 in US at Apple's website, can i use it in China with a local carrier?

The Model 1586 / 1524 happens to be the one most compatible with China

If the phone is primarily for use in China - I would look to getting an unlocked version of that
There are contradicting theories about Sprint for international use - so I would stay away from the Sprint model in the US

  • Is the blackberry classic unlocked? and can I use it on China Mobile GSM if I visit China?

Two problems that bother me now. Can I buy an unlocked blackberry classic from Verizon? Can I use it on China Mobile GSM carrier if I could buy?
    thanks

We certainly hope that you don't need to worry about anything related to Verizon Wireless, wys515. The great news is that all of our LTE global-capable devices, such as the Blackberry Classic, are already unlocked and ready to use with a compatible local SIM without any extra steps from us. If you have an existing Verizon Wireless account for while you're in the U.S., you can make your purchase through http://bit.ly/nD0WuY. Otherwise, you may need to go through the manufacturer directly to purchase a phone without any ties to our services.

  • If i buy a sim-free iphone 5s in America, can i use it in China with a Chinese sim card?

i've bought a sim-free iphone 5s  in apple store in America but i am worried that i cannot use it with a Chinese sim card. Can someone help me?
    Thank you very much!

The iPhone is sold as "unlocked and contract-free" when purchasing that option from the Apple Store, though Apple's verbiage is using "unlocked" and "SIM-free" rather interchangeably:
The unlocked iPhone includes all the features of iPhone but without a wireless contract commitment. You can activate and use the unlocked iPhone on the supported GSM wireless network of your choice, such as AT&T or T-Mobile in the United States. The unlocked iPhone will not work with CDMA-based carriers, including Sprint and Verizon Wireless.
If you don’t want a multiyear service contract, or if you prefer to use a local carrier when traveling abroad, the unlocked iPhone is the best choice. If you choose T-Mobile, your iPhone comes with a T-Mobile SIM card already installed. You will need to contact T-Mobile or visit an Apple Retail Store to activate your iPhone.
Otherwise, the unlocked iPhone does not come with a micro-SIM card for iPhone 4s, or a nano-SIM card for iPhone 5c or iPhone 5s so you’ll need to get one from any supported GSM carrier worldwide. To start using your iPhone, simply insert the SIM card into the slot and turn on iPhone by pressing and holding the On/Off button for a few seconds. Then follow the onscreen instructions to set up your iPhone.
Purchasing an unlocked iPhone means you will not qualify for the lower iPhone price associated with a contract. The unlocked iPhone 5c model is A1532 (GSM). The unlocked iPhone 5s model is A1533 (GSM).
To help decide whether the locked or unlocked option is right for you, compare wireless service plans. Or call our iPhone Specialists at 1-800-MY-APPLE.
Be aware that if you purchase an iPhone in the US, that will be the only place you will get support from Apple should you need it. You will not get any support for a US-sold iPhone in China.
    Regards.

  • HT1807 If I buy the Iphone 5 in USA, can I use it in China?

CAn I buy the iphone 5 in USA but to use in China?

No because there are no unlocked iPhone 5's for sale in the US at the moment.
You will also have warranty issues and there are no international warranties with the iPhone.  You will also have issues with the LTE frequency and the phone will only work on 3G.
If you live in China, then wait until the iPhone 5 becomes available there and buy it there.
If you live in the US and purchase an iPhone 5 on contract there, then you can use the phone in China with the international roaming feature, although you will only be able to get 3G rather than 4G.

  • Can I use iPhone4S lined from japan to Philippines?

    Hello APPLE and users...
my auntie bought me an iPhone4S from Japan, and i'm about to get it within 2 weeks or 3 weeks. She said it's lined there, but maybe can unlock here in the philippines... Is it possible to use it here? or apple can help me unlock it here?? please help..
    thanks

Your Aunt wasted her money. All iPhones, from official sources in Japan, are sold as carrier locked and cannot be officially unlocked to use on any other carrier's network. If still within the 30 day return window, return it for a refund.
