I cannot 'add' a persona. I can only hover over it. Any clue why?

I want to add a seasonal persona skin to my homepage. I never had a problem with this until now.
I can hover over the image and my screen image changes, but when I try to add, nothing happens.
I went to tools>page info>permissions>install extensions(add-ons) and checked allow but still nothing
happens. I am running the latest FF on windows 7. I also tried uninstalling and re-installing FF.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your responses. Evidently one of my extensions was causing the
problem. It wasn't the persona extensions but that probably didn't help.
I reset FF and now my personas work. I will gradually add my extensions back
and then I may find out which one was the problem.

Hey, I'm having the exact same problem.
I just got my Macbook Pro and I tried to partition/install windows xp the first day I got it. After successfully partitioning my HD, the 50GB partition didn't show up while trying to install the windows platform.
To be a bit more specific, it doesn't even show up in my startup disk in the system preferences menu (if that's any help?)
So after about a week of abandoning my Macbook and going back to my PC I went to the Apple store and someone from the genius bar just told me to reformat the entire thing...so that's what I did and I'm still having the same problem.

OK, I think I understand what's happening.
Movies are now stored in iCloud: see http://www.apple.com/itunes/inside-itunes/2012/03/movies-now-available-on-icloud .html
So they may take a while to download to your Mac. Movies are big, after all.
I believe you can guarantee the movie stays on your Mac by going to Preferences (in the iTunes menu at the top), and going to the "Advanced" tab, and checking "Copy files to iTunes media folder when adding to library".

Cannot add Marker to one subclip only

Yes, even I get stuck sometimes...
So, my assistant is taking master clips and breaking them up into subclips (something we always do), and then adding markers to those subclip that paraphrase what the interview subject is talking about.
She was happily marking along when...it suddenly wouldn't let her do it. Not by pressing M, not by going to the menu and adding them. It said something about the clip being locked. So she restarted the computer. She tried it again...no error, but she still couldn't add markers. She opened another clip and added markers all over the place...no problem. Just this one, she couldn't do it.
So she trashed preferences, restarted and...still can't. Any clue?

Sequence settings match...but the clip isn't in a sequence yet...this is in the Viewer.
We didn't upgrade anything, as we are mid project.
And I am making a living wage on this project....so there. THPHTHPHTHPH!
I am thinking it is a corrupt clip, as no other clips have this issue, so I am having my slav...er...assistant redo the markers and copy/paste the text from the old.

I cannot access any songs on my iPod classic. I had around 20,000 songs on it and it now says I have 12,00o but can't access them. Any idea why this has happened?

I cannot plug it into iTunes and reload as my MacBook crashed a few days ago and I had to get a new hard drive. Recovery software is unable to retrieve anything from the hard drive.
All the songs were from CDs so not saved in iTunes.
The iPod was last plugged into the MacBook one day before it crashed and it was Ok when I ejected it.
Could it be anything to do with this? Doesn't an iPod have its own memory? Any ideas why it has happened and if their is anyway of retrieving it? Is it best to just take it into an apple shop? I am no longer covered with apple support.

When I hover over cover flow it says I have 12851 songs but when I click nothing happens.
When I hover over artists or albums it says 'no artists/albums'.
I can upload again from my CDs but just wondering if there is anything to do. I live abroad so all my CDs are in storage.

DVD Regional Codes can only be changed 5 times? Why?

I recently purchased a MacBook Pro in the U.S. and brought it to Japan where I currently reside. I have DVD's from the states that I want to watch along with DVD's that can be rented here in Japan. When I inserted a DVD into the drive from Japan with a regional code of 2, I was informed that the regional codes can only be changed 5 times and on the 5th time, that code becomes permanent. What is up with that? And is there any way to switch back and forth between various regions without a limit? I don't understand.

This is to stop people circumventing the region code system by simply changing the region code of their DVD player. In my opinion, this is an "anti-piracy" measure that does more to annoy people than it does to stop piracy.
With all other computer drives, you can actually change them 25 times; after every fifth time though, you have to take it to a dealer to have it reset. Apple don't allow this and limit you to five times. After the fifth time, they will not reset it, and you are stuck with it. I would only change it if I moved somewhere with a different region code.
VLC can function as a multi-region DVD player on some drives, allowing you to play disks from any region, regardless of the region coding of your player. It works on my iMac, so I would imagine that there is a good chance it will function as such on your MacBook Pro.

I understand that the OP failed to do research. But then, I wasn't replying to the OP. I was replying to Chris. I have Verizon. I can talk and use data at the same time with my Droid Maxx. Therefore, the problem is not just with the network. It would be technically possible for an iPhone to do that on Verizon/Sprint if Apple had chosen to use a different chip, such as the kind other phone manufacturers have elected to use.

Cannot save photos after opening (can only do a "Save As")

Software: Adobe Photoshop CS3
OS: XP w/SP3
System: Dell vostro 200, 2.20GHz Duo, 2GB RAM, 160GB HD (mostly free), Intel G33/G31 Express 128.
ERROR:
Could not save photo.jpg because the file is locked. Use Properties command in the Windows Explorer to unlock the file.
Actions took:
I fully installed all the updates, when unsuccessful, I repaired the installation, when that was unsuccessful, I completely uninstalled and then reinstalled Photoshop. This was also unsuccessful.
Our photos are on a network share and the user has full access to the folder and files (they are not locked or read only). When I access the photos on a different computer, I can open them, make changes, and then save without any problems. When the affected user does, they get the above error when trying to saveand they have the exact same access as the one that works.

it might be a network issue, and oopening files on a network isn't supported by adobe except when using version cue. best to copy locally then save back to the local drive and use explorer to update the network copy. windows has lots of built in protections to maintain data integrity when copying to and from a network that photoshop doesn't.
that said, and if you insist on working on a file residing on the network, make sure other apps which might have access to the file are closed. especially windows explorer and bridge.

Make sure your iTunes is logged into account that bought songs and computer is authorized to play them before syncing.
And shouldn't talk about illegal songs. Could of just said ripped songs from CD's you own.

However, I can send files larger than 100k from those same accounts on this computer when using IE. Well seeing as I'm running Lion on 2 GB of RAM, I can't see how upgrading the RAM will make that much of a difference. If you are seeing launch times in minutes, it probably indicates your cache got corrupted by some third party cache cleaning software. To see if some corruption can be fixed, first backup your data:

Then boot in safe mode, holding the shift key. If issues persist in safe mode, run the hardware test that came with your Mac.

And if that is unrevealing, and booting into safe mode doesn't solve anything, and you are backed up, try repairing the directory by:
1. Booting into the restore partition with command-R.
2. Selecting the installer's Utilities menu.
3. Selecting Disk Utility
4. Selecting First Aid
5. Selecting the boot partition.
6. Click on repair disk (not repair permissions)
Do NOT proceed with any install itself. Just quit the install program
If the disk is not able to be repaired, purchase Alsoft Disk Warrior, and boot of that to repair the directory.
If it is able to be repaired, and the machine is still slow, I think you may have run into some RAM that is bad, and need to replace it, not add to it.
If Disk Warrior can't repair the hard disk, replace the hard disk itself.
