It sounds like you are having trouble updating iTunes, even though you are connected to the internet. I would start with the troubleshooting in the following article to help resolve any software conflicts, or security software issues:

If this does not resolve the issue, I would next remove the iTunes software (this will not compromise your iTunes library):

Can I use my iPhone in the rain?

Yesterday I was with a friend who has had their iPhone 4 (White, 16GB) for around a year and a half, and it happened to be raining and they used the phone without any worries. They told me that they use it in the rain without worry and they are yet to experience any water damage.
Would it be acceptable for me to use my black iPhone 5 16GB in the rain without worrying, or is my friend just lucky?

Of course you can use your iPhone in the rain but since devices are not waterproof, nobody in their right mind would recommend it. The risk is yours and an out-of-warranty repair might cost more than a few bucks.

Unless this is a new iPhone 5 I believe the older ones will work with iOS6 and iTunes 10.6.3. If it won't, you will need to upgrade operating system version.

What you should have done is immediately turn the phone off, then put it in a ziploc bag of dried rice after you wiped all visible moisture off the phone. Leave it in the ziploc bag for 3 ~ 4 days, then turn it on & hope things work OK. It may be too late to try the dry rice trick now, but you can give it a shot if you like.
Apple does have an out of warranty replacement program, cost in the US is $199 for the 4S & $149 for other models.

If it never worked after the screen replacement then it would appear that you have a hardware problem either caused by the repair or the problem that lead to the screen replacement.

What product did you purchase and where did you purchase it from? I am not sure that Creative Cloud is involved with redemption codes, so you might have some other version. A redemption code is normally used to acquire a serial number, and the serial number is what activates the application(s) to full use. But serial numbers are involved with licensed software, not Cloud subscriptions.
