Try using DFU/Recovery mode to restore
1. Plug iPhone 4 to computer
2. open iTunes
3. Turn off iPhone
4. Press home and power button for 10 seconds
5. Stop pressing the power. Button but keep pressing down the home button
iTunes should say the following; "iTunes won't be able to use your iPhone until you restore your device"
Then you'll have the option to restore and it should work, it has worked for me in the past

Anyone go through all the syncing steps, have everything say it was done correctly but the ipod shows no music?

All indications show my ipod has been synced correctly but there are no songs showing on the ipod itself. Any suggestions what may be the problem?

The ipod was disconnected improperly
If you did that then the iPod database has probably become corrupted. The usual cure for this is a simple restore and reload the music from iTunes, but since you have no music on your computer you can't do that.
See if a program such as Senuti will allow you to copy the music from iPod to computer. If it will, you can restore the iPod.

I have 2 external hard drives, but can not view photos from 1 hard drive in LR5 now. I used this hard drive in LR5 before, but now it does not show up. How do I get the hard drive to show up in LR5?

Let's see if I can help you, help me. Operating system is OS X, version 10.8.5.
The photos on hard drive (1) have never been removed from Lightroom (or have they?)They have not been removed from LR.
Could you explain why hard drive (1) stopped appearing in Lightroom, it must have been because you did something, otherwise the photos on hard drive (1) will still appear there.LR always worked great, until I had to upgrade my operating system to get LR5 to work. Then it has been one problem after another.
So, once I ran into this problem and before we started to chat….I simply RE-imported all the photos from (1). They came in fine, except none of their key words came along with them. So my ability to find anything is "0". It was bad enough to have to do the import all over, but the thought of having to re-tag 1000"s of images is overwhelming.

One day ago I inadvertantly removed my applications folder. In it's place is a folder with a black question mark which appeared after I attempted to open up the applications file. Also, previously when I clicked on the file applications would open in a fan display. Could I please get some assistance with this?

If you trashed it and emptied the trash, what backup, if any, do you have? If it's still in the Trash, move it back.
If no backup, reinstall Snow, which will give you the version as of the DVD you use, then update back to 10.6.8, and run all other needed updates, including any security updates. This should save all your third party programs, as well as settings.
The white puff of smoke is nothing, it only means you moved it out of the Dock. If you still have it, or had it, as soon as you open it it would reappear in the Dock. The item in the Dock is only a kind of alias.

After opening firefox, the tab on my taskbar says Firefox is open... however Firefox will not show up so I can use it.

As I open Firefox the window opens for a split second then disappears. On my taskbar it is showing that firefox is still open however if you click on it nothing happens and firefox stays inaccessible. I can't even get enough access to turn off addons to try without them if it improve performance.

I had this problem. Solution was to move mouse over taskbar icon. When Firefox displays small icon right click this and select maximise window !!! I think somehow Firefox got minimised to the taskbar and would not reopen as a full window. i.e it when you clicked the taskbar icon it would pop up and then pop back down to the taskbar again !!

I tried exporting my project numerous times, but the first half of my exported movie is all black, with the sound. Can I get some help?

So I decided to a class project, and found this supposedly great app.
I imported all the pictures, recorded the voices, and inserted the soundtrack via iMovie.
Then, once I clicked export and looked at the result, the first half of the product was just all black, with the sound
About a minute within the project (2 minutes total), than the images start appearing.
So basically, in the final product, the first half of my inserted pictures are all just gone, and is replaced with a black screen.
Did anybody else encounter this issue?

In that one I suggested updating to OS X 10.7.3. It fixes a lot of problems, admittedly none of yours specifically.
I understand your frustration but you should decide upon one thread or another. Since this one has more interest I suggest you stick with this one. Tracking two of them will only add to your headaches.

Sometimes simply restarting your iTunes, the computer and the iPad is all that it takes to correct an issue like this so try that. Quit iTunes, reboot your computer, and restart the iPad. Then try the sync again.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

ironically i searched all over the bing website and couldn't find the answer to this:
on the bing commercial they show the ability to hold up your phone with the app open and on the screen you see the scene in front of you but with little popups telling you what each place is. i cannot figure out how to get the app to do that, can anyone provide instructions? thanks.

You can only add music to iTunes Match from your iTunes library on your computer, not from your iOS device. If you have music on your iPad that is not on your computer, you'll have to import it to your iTunes library on your computer to add it to iTunes Match.
Music purchased from the iTunes store can be imported directly to your iTunes library by authorizing your computer for the Apple ID(s) used to purchase the music (in Store>Authorize This Computer), then connecting the iPad to your computer, opening iTunes and going to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases. Music from other sources will require using 3rd party software to transfer to your computer, such as Touch Copy.
