I did the upgrade but my apps now don't work. Any suggestions?
I click on them, then appear to start then return to start screen. If I delete them and reinstall then they work. But I don't want to do that for all 30...
I recommend doing a full restore. It will take some time. Make sure you back up the phone first. Then in iTunes, click on the phone in the device list on the left and then click on Restore. Not a guarantee but this works a number of times.

Hey Peter, I think your missing the big picture. Your iPod is past repair, corrosion, is a real issue with water damage, but your problem took a turn for the worst when you attempted to use a microwave to dry it out. I see you found another post from July 2012, where someone else tried to nuke there iPod, and got the same results you have-- a dead iPod. The blue sparks, burnt smell and still not working all confirms one thing... Your iPod is not repairable. What the water didn't damage the microwave did. By attempting to microwave, you for all intensive purposes hit your iPod with an EMP, (Electro-Magnetic Pulse), in the first split second you overloaded the workings of your iPod and burned it up! There is is no way of known which circuits and components have been damaged and to what extend. You may be able to get a refurbished iPod, but it is unclear that Apple will allow it, because of the type of damage, it's not like this was an accident, you deliberately put it in the microwave in a misguided attempt to dry it out. when the microwave turned on it hit ever chip, diode, capacitor etc. with more power than it was designed to handle, in short; you baked it, burned it up, fried it, call it what you want, but it's not going to work! To attempt to repair is a meaningless gesture, (and probably will cost more than it's worth), chalk this one up as bad ideas 101-- learn from it, move on, and get yourself a new iPod. By the way, if you are still interested, I found a solution. It's a bit crazy, but basically I have insulated the parts of the keyboard connector corresponding to the power button using some thin tape and then used a very thin wire going from the logicboard (where the test pads for startup are located) to my eject key, this way the original power button does not respond anymore and the eject key can be used as the power button, just like in the new Airs

In order to cure the problem on my iPad of the month of March 2013 only causing the Calendar to close, I amended all "All Day" events on April 1 to timed events. Now my Calendar will not open, although my Calendar on an iPad 2 and on iPhones 5 & 4 work perfectly. I have tried turning iPad off/on, but no effect. Any ideas please?
I'm having the same issue with my 3rd gen iPad too. I always viewed my calendar in month view. It won't even open since it's stuck on month view.
I've quit the app (properly closing via taskbar) and re-opened - crashes immediatly.
Quit the app and rebooted (via holding home/power buttons until restart) and opened - still crashes immediatly.
Anyone know how I'm able to get access to the app so I can change all day events to timed events in April. Is it just April 1st or all of April? I haven't even opened my iPhones iCal yet to see if it's having the same issue.
Also, not sure if this will work but iCal on my mac wireless syncs my calendar events. I'm wondering if I change April 1st all day events to timed events whether it'll sync and fix the issue of crashing? -

If you didn’t erase the drive and install using you AppleID, then the OS and the purchased apps are still registered to the other AppleID. You cannot change that by logging into iCloud. Apps are forever tied to the AppleID used to purchase/download them.
You have to erase the drive and download/install the Apps using your AppleID. -

If it's the apps that you've downloaded from the App Store that aren't working, whilst the built-in apps are ok, then try downloading any free app from the store (as that appears to reset something) and then re-try them - the free app can then be deleted.

When I did the upgrade it resulted in me having to do a factory reset because it was pausing for long periods of time. It went through the backup and all other steps but now all of my ringtones are gone from iTunes, thus the phone. I tried to redownload one I had purchased and it made me purchase it again (I did this as a test), and it said I had purchased it before but still required me to purchase again.
Anyone have a solution/thoughts/help?Command + Z undoes the last action you did, did you just move those files into that folder?
Use Spotlight to search for the files, or look for them in their original location(s).

Go to your Applications/ Utilities folder. Finder the upgrader app. Double click it to run it.

I recently upgraded to Mavericks and now don't have access to iphoto. I cannot find my iphoto library to back the photos up before upgrading the iphoto but see the photos when I try to change screensaver? Where are my photos so I can back them up?
The iPhoto library should be in your user folder/Pictures unless it was moved.
