I hava learnt java for two years ,but I don't see the java language ,I don't know to how to learn the java ,as you see,there are many frameworks ,such as struts,spring,hibernate and so on,please hope you to give some suggests,thank you in advance
After learning Core Java. You should learn J2EE. Once after learning web-tier technologies (servlets, jsp ...etc) . Its easy to learn struts, spring and hibernate.

i am very new to java,
i just to know should i keep going with java or not because i took a class by using a book by Tony Gaddis, titled Starting with java 5
the first 4 chapter seemed a little easy to me, but right after that the rest of the chapter 5-8,i was completely lost when it had arrays or static method. it tougher and tougher .

I only have some basic java programming knowledge. I am working on a CORBA based project now. Our company bought a system which has a loads of object models for CORBA interfaces and associated technical documents. These documents don't make any sense to me because I have no CORBA experience before at all.
I browsed www.omg.org and download some CORBA specifications. Thousand pages to read.

How to catch java.io.FileNotFoundException when a user enters a bogus jsp page. For example. I have a page called login.jsp. If a user enters log.jsp, the entire path is show and i get java.io.FileNotFoundException. This should not happen. This only happened since I upgraded to 9iAS. I tried send_error=true in zone.properties like i did when i was just using oracle http that came with database and it doesnt work. How are all you guys catching this?? I cant find any documentation. They say send_error=true will work, but IT DOESNT.

I am also facing the same problem of the java.io.FIleNotFOundException in the browser display when i am giving a wrong file path in the Url. you have mentioned that you have solved it when you were using Orcale 8i Http Server, can you please guide me for that( as we are also using Oracle 8i) I checked with putting send_error=true in zone.properties file but that is not working. What exctly you have done to get rid of that error message. I am using Windows Nt platform.

Doing a fresh install of Mac OS X 10.4.11, I realized that the Java updates -- seven of them, which must be tediously installed one by one in order -- are more than all the other 10.4 updates combined: 432MB (Java) vs. 386MB (10.4.11 Combo, QuickTime, the final Security Update, Safari). And I started to wonder: do I need it? I've never understood quite what this Java stuff does. Can anyone elucidate? What will I be missing if I don't install all these Java updates?
How do I check for what Java is installed in my computer. I have an Imac running 10.5 OS. I was on a website trying to play the game, but was told that I needed an updated version.
That's my next question: How do I install the newest version.
