Disable / Remove Control Key From Pop-Up Virtual Keyboard

Hello. I am setting up a kiosk system using Microsoft Surface tablets. I wish to use the win8 virtual keyboard along with chrome in kiosk mode to run a web app. I am trying to edit the Keyboard Mapping in registry, which works with the physical keyboard
but not with the virtual one. All I need to do is disable the control key so users can't do anything with browser shortcuts. Also, I can't just disable them in JS because the browser captures them before they even reach the js engine.

On Screen Keyboard is one application that is used to simulate the keyboard to send the Key Events to system. It is not a physical keyboard but a built-in tool,
After a lot of research, I am afraid there isn’t a solid way of disabling the Windows key on virtual keyboard, including the control key.
Besides, Kiosk mode is available for Internet Explorer according to the link below, and it is available for Internet Explorer 11 after a test:

Another thing is, it fails to start the Kiosk mode with Chrome after remove Internet Explorer from the control panel, I tried with a test.

I work with clients who are unable to talk due to various developmental delays. We use the Proloquo2go app which uses the regular iPad keyboard for communication. Is there a way to disable the accented characters from popping up when typing on the keyboard? This is very distracting for some of our clients. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Control key from Windows keyboard

I use VNC to remote control my mac mini (OS X 10.4.10) from my Windows laptop. However I cannot figure out how to emulate the Mac Control key from my Windows keyboard.
This is needed because I have multiple iTunes libraries on the mini, and on the Mac keyboard, you can ctrl-click the iTunes icon in the dock to select which library to open. When I'm on VNC controlling the Mac, the ctrl key on the Windows keyboard apparently does not equal the Mac ctrl key.
Alt on the Windows keyboard maps to the Command (Apple) key on the Mac keyboard, but Control doesn't seem to correspond.

It seems I made a mistake on which key I need to selectively open a particular library when launching iTunes. It is the "Option" key on Mac, but I still can't find the proper key combination to do this when I VNC into the mac from Windows.

How to remove foreign key from table?

i want a query from which i will remove foreign key from the table. plz help me in it. the table is created as follows:

parent keys not foundWell, while the constraint was not available (dropped), someone took the opportunity and inserted rows into your child table that do not have a corresponding value in your parent table.
Why was the constraint dropped in first place? why did you give someone the opportunity to insert constraint violating value into the table?
You must either:
1). remove the child rows not found in parent
2). create parent rows fr missing child rows.
3). enable novalidate the constraint so existing values can remain without parent but future rows must confirm.

In SQL Server / T-SQL we don't have a native JSON support, so you would have to implement a solution on your own = parsing the string and remove the "Key" + it's value.

What can I do to prevent the control key from not working in the future?

Background:
I bough an macbook pro about 1 year and 3 months ago and after 9 months of usage my control key stopped working for about an hour or two.This happened every time I turned on or awoke my mac from sleep (lid down).I sent it to an authorized apple service center and they replaced the keyboard.Everything was fine for about 4-5 months when the same thing happened again, ctrl key stopped working but this time not when turning on my mac but at random times and for random intervals.I sent it again to the service center but they told me that this time it won't be for free because my 1 year warranty has expired.I should mention that in European Union and Romania (the country where I am from and from which the mac was purchased) the law is that any electronics device sold has to come with at least 2 years of warranty.Apple seems to ingore this law.
Anyway, after long conversations with apple uk on the phone they agreed to pay for the keyboard but not for the labor which was 70 eur ($100).It's not much but my 2 year warranty should have covered it.The sad part is that I have no guarantee that it's indeed a keyboard error and not something else, this might happen again in 4 months and I doubt this time apple would agree paying for the keyboard (which is 150eur) ($215).
I should also mention that before calling apple uk I tried apple's romanian number (listed on their site) and it didn't work on the 3 phone networks that I've tried (2 fixed and one mobile) which led me to believe that apple support is in fact a big joke.
Suffice to say that I will no longer purchase any apple devices or software, I regret purchasing mac os x lion just a week ago, when I will no longer use it because I intend to sell all my apple gear (timecapsule, iphone4, macbook pro) and buy stuff from companies that value their customers and respect their contracts.
My questions are this:
1) why does apple ignore EU and Romanian law?
2) what can I do to prevent this from happening in the future
3) can I request that my macbook be more thoroughly inspected? I suspect the keyboard is not the main problem and it will soon happen again as it happened two times already.
4) can I do something for the repair labor charge to be waved? It is illegal in my country to ask for one in this scenario...

Everyone reading your posts here is just another MacBook Pro user. We're all volunteers, not Apple employees. No one here can speak for Apple.
In my personal opinion, buying Apple products in a country where Apple has no stores and no corporate presence is a risk that the buyer takes knowingly. I don't think it's a wise risk, and I don't recommend that anyone take it. A small percentage of the products sold anywhere are going to have problems, and it makes more sense to buy an inferior product that can at least be serviced locally than to buy a superior product that may have to be sent thousands of miles for repair if anything ever goes wrong with it.

Remove partition key from partitoned table

can somebody help me with a sql syntax to remove a partition key from a partiton table . The scenario is explained as follows:
create table t1 (c1 number, c2 number ,c3 number)
partition by range (c1, c2)
(partition p1 values less than 11,
partition p1 values less than 21,
partition p1 values less than 31 );
i have data in this table and lot of indexes built, so i cannot drop this table to recreate it.
All i want is to remove c1 from partition key (c1,c2).
I will appreciate if somebody can give me a SQL syntax for this.

Can you elaborate what you mean by {qoute} ...does not work ...>
Do you have a reason not to use the current selection listener selectionListener="#{bindings.NotificationOfDifficultiesVO.collectionModel.makeCurrent}" on your table to let the framework do the work for you and then simply call the delete method on the VO?

Problem Removing Junk Mail from POP Server

Is there a way to automatically remove junk mail from the POP server when I delete the Junk within the Apple Mail application?
The Mail application Junk filter is working pretty well for me on my primary MacBook Pro system. My inbox is mostly junk free and I like that I can check the Junk folder to see if any "good" e-mail got snared before deleting the junk from the junk folder.
However, "Erasing Junk Mail" from the junk mail folder does NOT erase the junk from my POP server. So if I check the same e-mail account on another computer or my Treo, I have endure the same junk messages again which can quickly mount up to 100+ messages over the course of a day.
I can manually delete messages from the POP server by using the Get Info window in the Shortcuts/Actions Menu at the bottom left of the Mail browser.
However, I have to manually identify and select the junk messages from all the mail on the POP server to delete it which is both tedious and time consuming.
Isn't there some way instruct the program to automatically delete Junk from the server when it's deleted from the browser?
It seems like it would be an obvious feature.
I've looked for some way to do this including apple scripts but I can't find a way to do it.

All of my e-mail providers have some sort of web based access for my accounts. They identify, segregate and prevent any message marked as bounce from being downloaded to my inbox. Is this what you are describing as redundant?

I have a simple program that takes an xml file stored in a clob column and attempts to convert it into an xml type.
The program is

However my clob clearly contains at least one invalid character as I get this

I would have suggested that too but the [:cntrl:] character class also includes XML-valid characters such as #x9, #xA and #xD :

Wacom Intuos 5 with mouse pops up virtual keyboard in Lightroom CC. How to stop that?

I have Windows 8.1 and Lightroom CC.
Whenever I use my Wacom mouse to navigate to a textbox to enter something (like keyword or someone's name) the virtual keyboard pops up and covers half the screen.
As soon as I start to type, the keyboard disappears, but it is very annoying.
This doesn't happen with other applications.
This doesn't happen when I use touch or the pen to navigate to the textbox. Only when I use the mouse.

I had the same problem with LR CC, W 8.1 and Wacom.

You can override the default functionality of F-keys with the Key-F0-9 triggers without having to modify the frmweb.res file.

Control keys of latest apple wireless keyboard don't work on iPhone 4

I just brought the latest apple wireless keyboard(2011) and I tried the control keys(briteness, music control, volume control) none of them worked on my iPhone 4(ios 4.3.5), but those shortcuts like: cmd+a, cmd+c...worked very well, I don't know what's wrong with this and I think those control keys are very useful, I'm planning to replace my old Lenovo laptop with my new accessory, who can give me a hand please!!! Thank you!

A number of folks have reported that the newest Apple BT keyboard, designed for use with Mac OS X Lion has this issue. Unfortunately the new KB has the same model number as the one for Snow Leopard. The way to tell them apart is the F4 key, on the Snow Leopard KB it has the Dashboard icon. I would try to find an Apple retailer with the Snow Leopard KB in stock and exchange your KB for one of them. The Snow Leopard KBs work great with the iPad, with all applicable function keys operating.

Remove control bar from MOV clip

I dropped a MOV file into the web page and it created a
control bar at the bottom. This is nice for most uses, but I don't
want it. Any idea how to remove the bar? I tried re-sizing the
graphic, but that just resizes it from the middle, so the result is
that I would have to cut off a portion from the top equal to the
size of the control bar at the bottom :-(

I need to disable the delete key from going back a page.

My son is doing online homeschooling. If he is taking a quiz and accidentally hits the delete key to correct a word in his answer the page goes back and he is kicked out of the quiz. I need to disable this function in Safari to protect him from this. Please help.
