I don't see a slot on the iMac to plug in my external hard drive. It only has usb ports and the one for plugging in the cable modem. Where/how do I plug it in?

new iMac, old external hard drive - where do I plug it in?

With this adaptor:

it appears new iMacs can support FireWire.
