Unfortunately when upgrading to iOS 6 the setting to add Facebook Contacts to your Contacts app is on by default. But once the upgrade is complete you can go to:
Settings > Facebook > and turn off Contacts.
That will get rid of the Facebook stuff showing up in your Contacts app.
BTW, I also turned off Calendar on my iPhone and iPad so that Facebook events and Friend's birthdays etc. will not show in my Calendar app.

I just ran a test with iPhoto Library Manager, Duplicate Annihilator, iPhoto Duplicate Cleaner, Duplifinder and Photodedupo. I imported a folder of 5 photos into a test library 3 times, allowing iPhoto to import duplicates. I then ran the 5 photos thru resizer to reduce their jpeg compression but all other aspects of the file the same.
None of the duplicate removal apps found set that was reduced in the file resizer. That's probably due to the fact that the file creation date was being used as a criteria and the resized photo would have a different file creation date even though the Image Capture date was the same.
They all found the 3 regular duplicates and some of them would mark two and leave the 3rd unmarked. iPhoto Duplicate Cleaner can sort the found duplicates by file size but if the file was edited to get the reduced file size it might not be found as it would have a different file creation/modification date.
iPhoto Library Manage was able to find all duplicates and mark them as such if the file names were the same the the filename option was selected. Otherwise it also missed the modified, resized version. It allowed one to select the one photo to save before going to work on the library.
So if a photo has been reduced in image quality or pixel size it will not be considered a duplicate.

Flash is not supported on the iPad - and as Adobe have never managed to make a version of their flash player that works on iOS devices, and they have recently announced that they are stopping development on all mobile versions of it, it probably never will be

Don't want to displya the connecor line in the Stacked charts in CR2008

Hi,
I have a requirement to display one of the measure as a connected line with data makers(Rectangle) for each month on the top of the graph for the future 12 months in the Stacked bar charts graph in Crystal Reports 2008.
Now the user is asking if there is no data in any one of the months then the connected line should not be displayed in the graph.
1) i have tried formatting the conneced line alone by right clicking on the connected line in design mode.but i couldn't arrive at the appropriate solution for this.
Is there any work around or solution not to dispaly the connected line at all.. i mean only to display the Data markers on the top of the graph and not the connected line between the data makers.
urgent solution would help me.

yup.. the base is the stacked bar chart and i can show as many as lines on top of it..currently i have only one.
So is that mandatory to create a line chart if i want a line on the stacked bars in CR2008.
Can u explain me if i have to go with line chart on top of the stacked bars to get the solution for this?

Monitor not showing the whole screen when I log out of Xorg/Openbox

Please help, what happens is..
I log into arch, it boots fine (it displays the loading of daemons in like arabic or something but that's another matter!), I can see everything, I 'startx' into Openbox and that's all fine but when I log out of X it cuts off the bottom of my screen.
I've got a widescreen 1680x1080 monitor and an Nvidia GeForce 8400 GS graphics card and I've tried using nvidia and nouveau drivers.
It only started AFTER i'd installed Xorg, I'd just log into x then kill it and i'd have half my screen missing.
I've tried setting nvidia-settings and editing the conf files in Xorg but it must be an issue outside of X surely, as It's always fine in openbox?
any ideas?

Maybe you can let her play on your computer where it may be easier to restrict what she can do, provided there's an OS X equivalent. Of course supervision is probably the safest solution until she is old enough to understand she shouldn't do anything that's not permitted. But then she'd probably be old enough not to need to learn her ABSs.

How do I access the subject line when I send an email?

This never used to be a problem until recent "upgrades" but I can't put a subject for an email in the subject line even though I am constantly prompted to do so when I send an email. There doesn't seem to be any way to adjust preferences anymore either.

There is a way to remove the Subject line!!

That's what I would assume. Like I said, the Archive is really just a copy of the AddressBook folder which contains everything related to Address Book and Mail's previous recipients.
Now, the Address Book contacts and Mail's previous recipients are different entities--they just share the same storage location. So, if that is what you mean by there are some missing, they should still auto-complete in Mail since the previous recipients also is used for auto-complete.
