Launch the Terminal application; e.g., by entering the first few letters of its name in a Spotlight search. Copy or drag -- do not type -- the line below into the Terminal window, then press return:
sudo rm /var/db/.AppleSetupDone
You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up. Confirm.
Reboot. The Setup Assistant will launch.

After Force Quitting, as LarryHN recommended,
Select the iPhoto Library in the Finder. By default it is in your Pictures folder.
Ctrl-click or right-click the iPhoto lIbrary. Select "Show package contents" from the panel, that will pop up.
Look for a folder named "Importing" or "Import". Remove this folder, but don't touch anything else.
Then launch iPhoto again.
If iPhoto now is working again, check the folder you removed, if there are any photos that you want to keep and save them. -
How do I enter information on the calendar on my IPad?
I just got my new ipad2 and don't know how to enter info or where to go to find out how, can anyone help me?
Tap on the plus sign in the lower right corner of the calendar in order to add an entry. If you do not see the sign, go to Settings>iCloud>Calendar>On. After you turn it on you can sync your calendar with iCloud. If you would rather not sync the calendar with iCloud, turn that off. You can sync with the calendar on your computer if you prefer.
Once you toggle the iCloud calendar on and off in the settings, you should be able to access the sign to add events. -
I looked everywhere. First into the store, then ibook, icloud, imusic, literally everywhere but the book is no where to be found.

Where can I find more information about the jpeg files in pages templates?
I'm using a pages template (the menu in the 08 version). I like the three graphic images that are on the menu, how can I find out more info about them and their source?
I can find the file extension in the inspector, but even when I google that title I come up with nothing.
Any suggestions?The images are buried deep in the apps packages.

I plugged in my macbook pro power adapter and heard a loud bang. I checked the charger by opening it and found out the charger blew the whole mother board up. So i buy another charger, as i live in Egypt, that blew up the same way, please help.
You'll certainly need a new logic board.
If I were you, I would take the machine into your local Apple Store or an AASP and have them evaluate the problems and give you an estimate for repair. If you're out of warranty, be prepared to pay a very high price to get your computer repaired.

I want to install Lion on an external hard drive. The OS was purchased and downloaded through the App Store but I do not know where the file is.
If you downloaded the installer it will be in your applications folder. Failing that use spotlight start typing Install and it should show up.
This is assuming you downloaded the installer from the app store, and didn't just install it onto your mac. If all you have done is install it on your mac. Go to your purchases Lion should show up. Then click download.

I downloaded lion but it wont install, it says that the software has been tampered with. But i downloaded from the app store.
I have been through the same process three times now. The downloaded file is 4.07GB. I deleted it and re-downloaded and I get the same error.

I would like to know if anyone, after downloading Lion OS, lost their Quicken 2007? If so, what have they done to remedy the problem?

Create a copy of your current Quicken for Mac data file.
Important: You'll want to use the copy for the conversion. Do not use your original data file.
Launch the Quicken File Exchange Utility (it's located on your Quicken Essentials disk).
Follow the on-screen instructions to locate the copy of your old data file and then convert your data from Quicken for Mac to Quicken Essentials.
Open Quicken Essentials.
If you want to import your old data into a new Quicken Essentials data file that you’ve already started using (optional), make sure that the new data file is now open in Quicken Essentials.
Choose File > Import, and then select the file that you just created during the conversion process.
The conversion file has a .QDFX extension. You’ll find it in the same folder as the copy of your old Quicken for Mac file. -
I installed Snow Leopard, upgraded it to OS X 10.6.8, paid for and spent the hours necessary to download Lion, but Lion will not install. Even though it says the requirements are 10.6.6 or greater, when I try to install, I get a message saying I need 10.7. to install Lion. What should I do?

2GB of memory
OSX v10.6.6 or later (V10.6.8 recommended)
7GB of available spare

If your Mac meets the requirements, installing the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo reinstalls the App Store for you which may help.
Restart your Mac after instaling the combo installed. It's ok to do this even though you are already running v10.6.8.
If you have anti virus software installed, you may need to disable that in order to install Lion. -
i have an iphone lost the music somehow? then went onto itunes on the app it downloaded the music again, but doesnt play and i have to plug it into my laptop and its not my iphone and i cannot sync any of the music any help? the orginial compter now does not work any suggestions?
See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.
In brief; backup the device, recover what you can from it, download other purchases from the iTunes Store, restore the device, add content, keep a backup of your library in future.

I recently updated to Lion, but lost iSync that I use to sync Outlook with iCal. Can't seem to find out to get it back. When I try to download from a third party site, I get a message that a newer version has already been installed. Any help would be appreciated.
