I GET AN ERROR WHEN CHECKING FOR USER INPUT VALIDATION

Question

if (choiceBrand.length()==0)
System.out.println("No selection was made, " );
System.out.println("We will price the Frigidaire.");
I GET THIS ERROR
Green_1.java:55: char cannot be dereferenced
               if (choiceBrand.length()==0)
               ^
