There are many apps in the App Store, which you can download (many are free) that will let you take a song on your phone and turn it into a ringtone. Virtually all of them will require that once you've made the clip, you do something like email it to yourself, then connect your phone to your computer, save it iTunes, then sync it to your ringtones library on your phone. Go to the App Store and type in Ringtone. Lot's of options will appear.

This my second computer in the last two years. The first one fell and broke but I had only $20 worth of Itune stuff on the first one so I did not bother however this second computer I have tons of apps and music. It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer. Certainly after losing everything once, you started doing the basics and have a backup copy.
Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup ( twice), then you can transfer itunes purchases from the iphone: Without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases
Make sure that you have your computer authorized to your itunes account. -
After installing the new software to my iPhone 4S , my dream zoo either will not start or when it does it has a blank screen that has a few icons on it that wont work. How can I fix this is it possible to go back and reinstall the older software ?
Unfortunately I tried that and it didn't work. Thanks for the help though. I tried to uninstall and it said I couldn't because the file is corrupt or something, but I think I finally got it uninstalled and/or deleted or whatever, but now I try to reinstall/download it again from the beginning and I can't. No matter what I do I can not get Firefox working again. No matter how many times I try to redownload it. Any other suggestions?

Hi, I'm currently using iPhone 4 and iPad 2 with the same Apple ID, now I want to change my iPad 2's Apple ID to a new one so that it can be seperated from my iPhone 4's Apple ID. However, when I tried to change my iPad 2's Apple ID, my iPhone 4's Apple ID also changed. But I want to maintain the same old Apple ID for my iPhone 4 and try to change the iPad 2's Apple ID to a new one so that I can get it to my kid to use it. I would be most grateful if anyone in this forum can advice me on how to change my iPad 2's Apple ID and I can still maintain the old Apple ID for my iPhone 4? Thanks a lot in advance.
Apple ID's are not device specific, so when you changed it on the iPad 2 it changed it on the iPhone 4 as well, since it's the same account still. What you need to do is create a second Apple ID (so you'll have two accounts, one for iPhone 4 and a seperate one for iPad 2).
To create a new Apple ID on your iPad 2:
1) Go into Settings > Store.
2) If you are already signed in, tap your Apple ID on the screen and you will be given a few options, one of which is to sign out of your account.
3) After you sign out, now click the "Sign in" button.
4) Tap "Create New Apple ID" and follow the instructions on-screen. -
I just got an iPhone 4 and I'm trying to use it on the t mobile network. The thing is, I've tried restoring the phone so I could use it. I haven't tried my sim on other phones yet. But I will try to see if it works. The iPhone is supposedly factory unlocked btw. Anyways, when I put in my tmobile sim, it searches for the service, but it always ends up saying NO SERVICE. I checked that my network says that the "phone not allowed". So I don't have 3G on this phone I presume. I heard that you need 3G to have service is that correct? But how do I resolve it? The iPhone does know that my phone carrier is tmobile. It just says no service. And I've tried restoring it three times and turning it off and on and it won't work. I don't have a data plan for tmobile tw! Hopefully someone can help! Thank you so much in advance!
If a phone is sold from one friend to another and wants to use it on a different carrier the friend can contact the carrier it was sold by to request it unlocked. I know AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint will give you the steps to unlock it as long as the original contract it was bought under has been completed. eBay/Craigslist is really not the best place to try to get "unlocked phones" from, if it turns out the phone isn't unlocked then I'm really sorry you got stuck with that one and as stevejobsfan said above I would report them immediately and see if you can recover your money. Based on your post it sounds like you would like to sync your iBooks content with your computer. I have located an article that may help you in this situation. While you can sync this data with your computer you can also use the sharing button to send PDFs using various sources:

I have forgotten my appleID password and the email it is linked to is deactivated, security questions aren't working. This is on my iPhone and iTunes acs so I can't sync with my new computer. How do I merge AppleID accounts and shut down the old one (when I have no password and the security questions aren't working?)
You cannot merge Apple ID accounts, that has never been supported.
You can contact the Apple ID Security folks per the listing in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699 and they can help reset security questions and get the account working. -
The laptop I originally synch'd my iphone 4s with is broken and cannot retrieve any files. How can I sync the phone with a new laptop without losing all my downloaded music and apps already installed on my iphone?
If the answer to the above question is "yes", FIRST, set up a backup of your new computer before you do anything else so the next time your computer breaks you will not be in the same situation. Backup solutions are numerous and inexpensive, and there is absolutely no excuse in the Third Millennium not to have one.

Hi everyone, I just got the new iOS5 update for my iPhone 3GS. I receive a message saying that "Your SMS mailbox is full. New messages cannot be recieved until you delete some messages." So I updated to OS X Maverick(s) and backuped my harddrive and got a new one installed, everything seems okay but some things are missing in my settings like the software update icon. Does anyone know how I can get it back?
Okay so I asked someone from apple and they said that the software update icon is gone but its functions have been merged with the app store icon on the settings menu. Crisis averted haha!

Try updating it on your computer. If you get a message that your iPhone is up to date then you actually have an iPhone 4, not a 4s.

Yes, but be sure she is on a separate iCloud account with a separate ID before deleting anything. Be sure there is nothing that you want to keep on your device too. When you delete the data from iCloud it will be deleted from all devices signed into the account. Then you can delete the data from the existing account by doing the following:
To delete the contacts, go to iCloud.com from your computer, log into your iCloud account and open Contacts, click on All Contacts on the left, to the right click on any single contact to select it, click on the Actions (gear shaped) icon at the bottom left and choose Select All, then press the Delete key on your keyboard.
For Calendars, open the calendar on icloud.com, click Edit on the bottom left, then tap the minus sign to the right of each calendar to delete it.
For Notes, open notes on icloud.com, click on each note on the left, then click Delete at the top to delete it.
For Reminders, open reminders on icloud.com, click on each reminder and press your Delete key to delete it.
For Mail, open your mail on icloud.com, click each folder on the left (such as your inbox), click on a single message to the right, press Control-A on your keyboard to select them all, then press your Delete key. Repeat this for each of your mail folders except Trash. When finished, click on the actions (gear-shaped) icon on the bottom left and select Empty Trash.
If you also want to delete your iCloud backups you can go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage on your device, tap the name of your device under Backups, then tap Delete Backup. -
