I just got an iPhone 4 and I'm trying to use it on the t mobile network. The thing is, I've tried restoring the phone so I could use it. I haven't tried my sim on other phones yet. But I will try to see if it works. The iPhone is supposedly factory unlocked btw. Anyways, when I put in my tmobile sim, it searches for the service, but it always ends up saying NO SERVICE. I checked that my network says that the "phone not allowed". So I don't have 3G on this phone I presume. I heard that you need 3G to have service is that correct? But how do I resolve it? The iPhone does know that my phone carrier is tmobile. It just says no service. And I've tried restoring it three times and turning it off and on and it won't work. I don't have a data plan for tmobile tw! Hopefully someone can help! Thank you so much in advance!

If a phone is sold from one friend to another and wants to use it on a different carrier the friend can contact the carrier it was sold by to request it unlocked. I know AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint will give you the steps to unlock it as long as the original contract it was bought under has been completed. eBay/Craigslist is really not the best place to try to get "unlocked phones" from, if it turns out the phone isn't unlocked then I'm really sorry you got stuck with that one and as stevejobsfan said above I would report them immediately and see if you can recover your money. In iTunes 11 that's the default behaviour. You can change this by right-clicking a title in iTunes, choosing 'Get Info' and changing the Video Kind field to "Movie" or "TV Show". You can also change it to "Music Video" but then the video will be moved to the Music section.
You can also select multiple video titles simultaniously and do the above step for all videos at once. This will save a lot of clicks if you have a long list of videos.

It's the phone, well possibly the firmware on the phone.ots of people have this issue. I have O2 send three sim cards, run network diagnostics, send an engineer to check the nearest three mobile masts and everything was deemed to be running very well.
The only option I am left with, and O2 strongly recommended this, was to phone Apple Care and arrangement an appointment at the nearest Apple Store. After just three minutes on the phone the Apple employee had arrangement a phone replacement and he said the staff will not bother even asking questions apart from requesting identification which is pretty good... But worrying all the same. They were really quick to offer a replacement, I wonder if they are aware of a faulty batch or something.

I just got an Iphone and I am trying to get my Itunes music as my ringtone. I already got an app and made a ringtone. I even got the tones tab to appear in my Itunes library. I cannot however get a tones tab to appear on my Iphone sync area. Also I cannot get any of my ringtones into the tones folder. They are no longer than 30 seconds so that is not the problem. Any ideas?

Does this app not provide a video on how to sync it with itunes and then sync it to your phone.
If you have transfer the ringtone to your computer, play the ringtone - then it should move to your tones folder in itunes. Just make sure when you play the ringtone it's plays in itunes.

Try a Reset... press the home and sleep/lock buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
