I had my nephew clean out my cookie's etc. Now I cannot find my firefox toolbar. I need to fix my private browsing and am unable to now w/o toolbar.

Used to open to facebook, now it makes me log in every time, so I tried to correct this by going to my firefox toolbar and fixing it...well, there is NO tool bar now. Do not know how to fix without tools. I think he also has it to where my cookies are being deleted each time I shut down my lap top. NOT cool! I use my laptop daily and this is annoying when I can't even fix that problem.

I am opposed to having private browsing as a feature that I cannot disable. In IE I can and have disabled that feature so it is not an option, but with both FireFox and Chrome I am not able to disable. So you have lost me as a client and anyone I talk with will receive my views on this.

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup, not good, then you can redownload some itunes purchases in some countries:

To run Mouitain Lion you need to update Logic.
For the updaters to work the Logic application must be:
a) Within the Applications folder, and not in any sub-folder
b) Named "Logic Pro" with no extra numbers or spaces

There are other methodologies of scanning a HD
which involve data extraction, but loss of metadata is often the result if the directory is corrupt.
Metadata is the info on what the data IS.
Like having all your papers thrown in the air, its all there, but just a giant mess.
This is why you always always must have several external HD redundancies of your data. One isnt enough, neither is two really.

If you backed up the device, all the data is in the backup. Restore the backup.
A better question is why would an intelligent person not copy the pictures from the device to the computer regularly, especially before attempting an update, as the device is designed to be used?

Scrolling and page loading is very choppy...i've cleaned out my history, cache, etc..it isn't my computer cause it does not do it in IE

I had to do a master restore on my computer but I cannot find any bookmarks. Are they lost forever?

I had to do a master restore on my computer (because of a problem with Firefox 4). After the restore I downloaded Firefox and the Firefox Sync App again. I thought I would find my bookmarks. However, I cannot find any of the bookmarks I had, nor were the tabs restored. I also downloaded the app Foxfire app to my iPhone (same day). Yet after I signed in, I was able to see the tabs I had before the master restore, but again - none of the bookmarks. I don't know how (if) I can recover them... Please Help?!

If the photos were not backed up with a recent backup, there is NO way to retrieve them.

I have yahoo toolbar installed. I tried to clean out some cookies and then my icons (shortcuts) disappeared on the yahoo toolbar. It will not let me open them. How do I restore them?

There is a "wheel" next to the search bar on yahoo toolbar. Clicking on it usually opens up the icons (such as Facebook, yahoo mail, YouTube, etc). But it no longer opens up any of them.

I had 4.0Beta12 on my Windows XP. I had to uninstall it. Now I cannot find it at Mozilla to download. Where is it?

The download offered is 4.0, at Mozilla.com.
I have that installed on my computer. But I want the 4.0Beta12 back. I don't know where to find it.
If I go to Help and About Firefox and click on Updates, the downloaded updates will then not install.
Any time Firefox notifies about an update I cannot let them do it, as it will not install. If I let them do it, Firefox will then not launch. I have to uninstall and then reinstall in order to get Firefox to work again.
So when they notify of an update, I have to go to the website and download it myself. It then installs fine.
But I cannot get the downloads in the Help/About Firefox, as I mentioned, as I cannot install them manually.

I am sure someone will figure out what you have done. From what you say I do not know if you have used default installs or custom installs. It is relatively easy to install Firefox and probably easy to solve your problems about installation not working when you try to upgrade. I imagine archived copies of old builds are likely to be available, but probably will be unnecessary.
The first thing you should do is look for your firefox profiles, and back them up by copying them elsewhere. You can find the profile by using
* Help -> Troubleshooting information | profile directory [open Containing folder]
* Do that separately for each user account
Did you set up separate profiles for each version of firefox ? eg by using [[profile manager]] if you did then there will be two sets of user data so two lots of history bookmarks and passwords.
If you did not then all you have is one set of profile data. (I am assuming it is a single use computer, and does not have multiple user accounts). Do you have separate user accounts on your machine ? (what shows up on the welcome screen)
Have you any particular reason to get back specifically the firefox beta as a browser, or is it the userdata that it has collected that is of importance to you ?
Are you currently able to see and use all the important user data, bookmarks etc, when you use Firefox, or do you think some of it is unavailable ?

Call the Apple Store and ask them to sell you a copy, you can then use the combo updater or you can buy a copy on eBay, but make sure it's the black retail copy and not a grey machine specific disc.
