I hate my new update. All pages are printed too small for my aging eyes! Yes I know how to do Command but don't want to do this every time. Also, more importantly, where is my Google search engine? And why no easy way to click back to previous page?

Okay, as soon as I sent this I figured out where Google search is!

The desktop, the mail, all webpages. I know there used to be a way to fix this in preferences but now cannot find it.
Also my home page will no longer open (BBC America).
I found the Safari Search option (should have been obvious!) But on other hand, do not understand why tool bar keeps disappearing - aah, just another of life's mysteries (until I figure it out!).

I am having trouble printing 4x6, 1" bottle cap images, they are printing too small

I have a new iMac and cannot get standard 1" bottlecap images to print to the correct size. They print slightly smaller than 1". They are printed on 4"x6" photo paper. I am selecting that size when I print. I also can print from photoshop. Thanks for any tips!

It seems that, embarrasingly I was tripple checking everything for 4x6 prints but actually had 5x7 loaded in the printer!

Firefox 3.6.10 update won't load on restart (tried many times) and exits after warning to restart again - how to disable warning so don't have to start twice every time I use Firefox?

I regret agreeing to download Firefox 3.6.10 update, as it is somehow corrupted, and will not load when I restart. Subsequently, every time I start Firefox, it warns "Update Ready to Install", then when I don't restart (if I restart, it won't load) it exits, and I have to start Firefox a second time. Then it works without the warning, but when I exit and start Firefox again, the warning returns and the cycle repeats. This is such a nuisance I have gone back (reluctantly) to Explorer. Is there anyway for me to get rid of this corrupted update and go back to before I downloaded the fateful update?

Do a malware check with a few malware scan programs.

How do I make icons bigger? All icons are way too small for speedy use. no matter what I do they remain too small. Is there a way of getting them the same size as previous versions?

All icons, such as refresh page, back, forward, stop and home etc; are just too small for comfortable use. For now I am uninstalling Firefox 4 and going back to 3.x. even the zoom page icons are too small.

You & I have the same size iMac screen. My resolution setting is 1280x800. Everything fits perfectly in the windows & on desktop including the menu bar.
All info in my windows are showing. I did not need to adjust my browser font size settings. I am sure you are aware of the browser font size settings. I use FF & the settings are in Preferences>Content.
In the Finder window you can enlarge the icons & fonts also.
Finder>View>Show View Options.

Make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.

NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
Damaged preference files can cause a varitety of problems which you wouldn't think it could. Deleting and regenerating the pref file is one of the basic fixes to try.

I want the google search engine when a new tab is selected but I'm getting the yahoo search engine instead

I click on the add tab button and the yahoo search engine comes up as the home page. This should be the google search engine, as it is when I first open Firefox.

A new tab opens by default as a blank tab (about:blank). 
If that isn't the case then an extension has changed that behavior.

Why are my tabs so huge and where did the google search bar go?

I know this isn't a big deal but I'm just not used to any of this. I like my search bar in the top left corner and I like my tabs all equally sized. Can someone please tell me what is going on? Can I fix this?

Type google searches in the same place you type URLs and it will figure them out.
The tab size is well, awful, but that's the size they are for now.

I'm using an iMac with Firefox as my browser. On the top right beside the URL box I have my google search engine (I can also use the drop down to search with Yahoo, Amazon, Answers.com etc.... When I search for something I get results but for some reason now I get Islamic text in my results. For instance if I search iphone here's what I get as my first result:

It is incompatibility of FF4 and bullguard (they know about it, and fix will be released soon), and probably most of the other antiviruses, as I see this is very popular problem. The solution though is very simple : in firefox disable addon "Bullguard Safe Browsing". It works. Or alternatively open bullguard go : antivirus - settings - safe browsing (unchek that). For those not using bullguard i would recommend to check their addons in FF and if there is any from your antivirus try to disable it for now.

Why does firefox 4 freeze on the 1st result page of google search engine

I updated to Firefox 4 yesterday and now every time I use the google search engine my screen freezes on the first results page and will not allow me to click on any of the links on it, saying that it is not responding before eventually the screen goes white.
I tried to find a solution on the Firefox Support page but the only solution relates to McAfee Site Advisor. As I do not have this installed and never have I was wondering if it would be possible for you to tell me how do I fix it?
