I have 56 updates on my phone,I resynced to itunes, downloaded info to pc, turned off phone and restarted, but the 56 apps whether I try one at a time or update all, nothing works?

I have 56 updates on my iphone 4. I have already downloaded the ios7, which I wish I didn't. whether I try downloading one or all and put in my password, it circles and then does nothing? I still have 56 updates?

Apple id password does not change the apple id login information. What I'm saying is that the apps you are attempting to update require you to use the SAME apple id login as you had when you first downloaded the app.
If you now have a different apple id login (not password) then what you had when you downloaded the app it will then require you to revert back log out of the apple id you are currently using and login to your device with the apple login you were using when downloading the app initially.

I think iCloud isn't coming until this fall and not until iOS 5 is publicly available. Right now there is confusion because all this stuff is still in beta and things are under NDA and may still change.
I'd just set the 3GS up the same as currently. When iOS 5 is available in the fall (and I don't think Apple has specified beyond "fall"), before you update, there should be any number of guides to setting things up and how it will all work. http://macworld.com is a good place to look for such information.

It depends on how you installed it. You have to shutdown the MySQL service first. If you used the standard, but obsolete Startup Item, you can do that with the Startup Item. If you created a launchd script, you can do it with launchctl. Once MySQL is no longer running, you can delete the Startup Item or launchd script and the rest of MySQL.

Apps are permanently tied to the ID and password used to purchase them. If you do not remember that information, you cannot update them. If you ned these apps, you will have to repurchase them under your new ID.

Pop up usually meant that icloud activation lock is still on on Apple servers. In order to deactivate you need to turn icloud back on by signing in and then sign out properly. For your sake I hope that you know the password.

Power button doesn't work, phone turns off randomly, and then flashes the apple screen over and over until I plug it into the charger

I have the iPhone 4s through Sprint, running iOS6. The power button my phone doesn't do anything, it doesn't lock my phone, and holding it down does not turn off my phone. Randomly, the power off screen will come up, sometimes over and over and over again. Sometimes the lock screen does the same thing, and there have even been times when it screen captures my lockscreen. Also, my phone will randomly turn off even when the batter is around 50%, and then the apple screen flashes over and over (sometimes for hours when I'm at work) and will not fully turn back on until I plug it into the charger. I have not spilled anything on it. I have dropped it, a few days ago, but it has been acting like this for weeks. I also had the problem with my wifi, where it grayed out and I couldn't select it, but my wifi randomly started working again. Any help would be much appreciated.

Iphone 4s and ipod touch when we go into apps store and click on a app whether free or paid it will not register it does nothing.

We have recently purchased 2 iphone 4s and 2 ipod touches they are all on my Apple id and were all going well the kids were able to download new games etc until yesterday. Now we go into apps store go into top 25 free games come up then we click on a game when we try to click on the blue free tag it does nothing that happens on all devices and for all things we try to get. I use my iChat to do video chat with my granddaughter. I used to do iChat without any problem to connect with her in New York. However, After Mobil Me account closed, I accounted connection problems frequently. Sometime, I had to turn-off my computer then re-started the computer to make it work again. . You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

Trying to turn off "find my ipad" but the icloud password. is not working although it has been reset and the reset password works ok on my laptop. Any ideas.

On the Apple website the account details show that the account is verified but on the ipad it continually says "verified" and underneath "Account not verified" Have checked the rescue email address but this says account is verified. What should I do? Apple store said I needed to phone. Phone chat suggested and went through change password etc. but nothing has worked and they have no idea. Help?

I imagine you are talking about iPhone 4 CDMA (Verizon, Sprint). iTunes will only allow Update or Restore to iOS 6.0.1 You need to update iTunes on your computer to current version 10.7, with computer click the iTunes Tab at the top of this page and install current iTunes 10.7 If this iTunes will not install you may need to update your computer System, or try a different computer.

Try a reset: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go.
