I have a designjet 130NR that keeps indicating that some print heads are bad.

All heads are new and in date. They were replaced because of this problem.
When they fail, different heads are indicated, sort of randomly.
Send a print job, sheet starts printing, printer stops and cuts paper. Head indicators start flashing. Depending on its mood any one one several of the heads will be indicated as bad.
I suspect the carriage assembly or drop detector.

HT1926 my windows computer will not allow me to open itunes when i just installed it, it says it did not instal itunes helper or itunes support, so i have to reinstall it, i keep doing that but nothing changes.

Let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:

Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you?
If instead you get an error message during the install, let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

Any way to keep faxing/scanning after "Print-head problem"??

We've got a "Print-head has problem" message. Ordered new print-head (before seeing another poster's message saying "I did that twice and it didn't help!) but it won't arrive for several days. Meanwhile we'd love to still be able to use this alleged "all in one" to scan and fax.
Problem is, there doesn't seem to be a way to escape from the "print-head problem" message--none of the "cancel" or fax buttons will work. Cycling the power just recovers the same message again, and otherwise locked up.
I'm hoping some old hand at HP may actually read this and know the magic fix.
So the question: Is there any way to keep using the 7780's fax and/or scan functions after getting a "print-head has problem" message?
BTW, we've had several problems with the 7780 in the 3 years we've had it. Had to send one back, and the auto-feeder has been hit-and-miss. But we've been able to work thru the problems with HP support--though certainly at a high cost in our time. Then with the problems getting a new Windoze-7 computer to work with it (certainly not entirely HP's fault but your customers could have used some better planning for the thing), we're starting to look at other manufacturers.
If any HP managers or execs ever read these boards, you might keep in mind that a reputation, once lost, is extremely hard to recover.

Hey Kappy, While my network is the only one in my preferred list, it's not the only one that the airport "sees". When I click on the wireless signal strength icon in the upper right part of the menu, when connected to my network, it says at the top of the pop up list "Airport: Scanning". It then lists about 10 wireless networks that are in range.
What I want it to do is stop "scanning" for other networks and simply lock on to my network once connection has been established. Is there a way to do this do you know? Thanks, Dan

When I try uploading an iMovie to YouTube I keep getting a message to sign into YouTube when I am already!! I've done this in the past with no problem...including as recent as in December. Do you have the YouTube app loaded on your iPad? Are you signed in there (in that app)?

I recently purchased an HP designjet 130nr, BUT...
I have trawled the HP website for support and software (i've foud the drivers, but thats it)
Doesnt HP provide any software for designjets 130nr, whitch works like the managing software for ordinairy printers
(with alingment, print queue, printing options etc.)
also im having problems printing directly from PC.
I have the plotter/printer /designjet 130nr) connected by USB, does that make a diffrence?
I've got all the drvers installed, and the PC reckognizes the printer in the controlpanel, but bithing happens when i try to print, not even an error message...

Windows 8 only has the basic driver offered. You know that printer first rolled out in 2003 and sold for many years but all good thing come to an end eventually.

None that I know of. How long has that thing been sitting before you bought it is the real question! If it has been sitting, it probably wasn’t cleaned up properly for storage. IF the print heads are clogged with old hard ink, no software is going to fix that. It could also have air in the lines that will have to be bled out manually.
Also, the print heads have an expiration date on them. Make sure they are not expired.
You can give cleaning them a shot before replacing them.

I have installed LR5 on my MacBook Pro. I have completed a book that had online tutorials called Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5 Classroom in a Book. All of my photos that are in my tutorial and the ones that I have imported from my hard drive have red on them where white should be. I see this immediately when switching from Library to Develop before I do anything to the photo except import it. I would appreciate any tips!

You are seeing red because that is the color of the clipping indicator. It is indicating that the whites are being clipped. You can turn off the clipping indicator by clicking on the little square in the upper right-hand corner of the histogram. Or you can adjust your highlights, whites and exposure until the red disappears. If you see blue on your photos that is indicating that the shadows are being clipped, and that is controlled by the little square in the upper left-hand corner of the histogram.
As a side note, you can activate or deactivate both clipping indicators by simply pressing the J key while in the develop module.

iPhone: Can't hear through the receiver or speakers
Resolution
Verify that there is nothing plugged in to the headset jack, including headsets, headphones, or adapters.
Make sure the Ring/Silent switch is not switched to silent.
While on the Home screen, adjust the volume buttons. If you see the icon below, indicating that headphones are attached, there may be debris or an object lodged in the headset jack:
Check the headset jack. If there is an object lodged in the headset jack that is not easily removed, have the iPhone serviced to remove object.
For Original iPhone: If there is light debris, such as lint, in the headset jack, try connecting a pair of headphones to the headset jack and then remove the headphones. Repeat this several times to remove the debris.
If you have installed a protective film on the display, either ensure that the receiver is not covered or remove the film completely.
Check the receiver mesh (which is on the top front of the device, above the display). If it appears blocked, use a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush to carefully and gently brush away any debris.
If you have paired with a Bluetooth headset that is nearby, either use the headset or turn Bluetooth off (chooseSettings > General > Bluetooth).
Restart the iPhone.
If restarting the iPhone doesn't resolve the issue, try restoring the device.
If the issue persists, go to the Service Answer Center - iPhone for information on service.

I have been reasearching how to do this on the internet, but I haven't found an easy explanation yet. My family is going crazy over each others imessages being sent to others in the family and not being able to use FaceTime because of conflicting email addresses. I have read that if each person gets their own iCloud account, this would work. However, I need to know what to do after I set everyone up with their own iCloud account. Do I make that the default email address to be contacted or can they still use their hotmail email addresses. Any help- with easy explanation- would be much appreciated!!

We do this in my family now. We have one account for purchases, so it is used to share music and apps (I think that is in Settings/iTunes & App Stores). Each iDevice has this configured.
Then, each of us has our own iCloud account that is configured under Settings/iCloud. That then allows us to have our own Mail/Contacts/Calendars/Reminders/Safari Bookmarks/Notes/Passbook/Photo Stream/Documents & Data/Find My iPhone/and Backup. That Backup piece is pretty sweet and comes in handly if you replace your iDevice. You can just restore from it.
So we all share the Apple Store account but we all have our own iCloud accounts to keep the rest seperate or things like you mentioned are a nightmare.

Think of it as an internet based ("cloud") area for all of those items listed in my response. What you need to remember is photo stream only maintans the last 1000 pictures so don't count it as a complete backup solution for your pictures. Even though I rarely sync with a computer these days, I do still try to sync my phone with iPhoto (I have an iMac) so that I have copies of all of my pictures. 1000 may not stretch as far as it sounds.

Open your iPhoto Library package with the Finder.
Click to view full size
look for a folder titled Import or Importing and move it to the Desktop. Launch iPhoto to see if the message goes away. If there is no message check the contents of the Import folder to see if you want to keep any of those image files (usually they have not been imported into iPhoto). If you want to keep them then drag the folder into the open iPhoto window to import.

Once you have changed your Apple ID, you need to set it up for use in the various systems such as iTunes, the App Store, etc so it can be used as intended. This article shows how to do that -

You want to uise the newer account with the iPad?
Settings > Store.
Tap account, sign out then sign in with the account you want.
