I have a group of macs that were osx but are now windows xp. How do I get them back to osx?
I need help getting some macs to being macs. The last guy working on them didn't understand them so he changed them all to windows xp. Now I would like to get them all back to osx. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Yeah I tried that but it won't load because windows hard drive setup is different than the macs. I need to figure out what I need to change from the disc utility to allow osx to install on the hard drive.

Can you try to use another computer?
If this does not work, visit an Apple Store or an Authorized Apple Service Provider next to your place, and show them the phone, maybe they can restore it before you'll have to get it serviced.

You can try to search them in the History if you haven't bookmarked them.
Using the "Show my windows and tabs from last time" setting is a more reliable way to restore session data.

I have just updated to IOS 7.04 and my mail, calendar and notes are now blank. How do I get it back?
it sounds like you were using iCloud. Go under Settings > iCloud and make sure the switch for Notes is ON (green side showing). If it's already on, turn it off, wait 30 seconds, then turn it back on. Your notes should sync up.

I recently changed from a Mac Pro to an iMac. Despite using Migration Assistant, a large chunk of my recent emails and nearly all of my wife's emails have disappeared in transit. Strangely, emails from my distant past are still there. Time Machine is no help; the messages may be on my backup disc but they're behind an invisible icon. Any ideas as to how I can get them back?
Quit Mail. Force quit if necessary.
Back up all data. That means you know you can restore the Mail database, no matter what happens.
Triple-click the text on the line below to select it:
~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData/Envelope Index
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C). In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar. Paste into the box that opens (command-V), then press return.
A Finder window will open with a file selected. Move the selected file to the Desktop, leaving the window open. Other files in the folder may have names that begin with "Envelope Index". Move those files, if any, to the Trash.
Log out and log back in. Relaunch Mail. It should prompt you to re-import your messages. You may get a warning that the index is corrupt and that Mail has to quit. Click OK.
Test. If Mail now works as expected, you can delete the file you moved to the Desktop. Otherwise, post your results. -
I bought my macbook late 2013 and it came preinstalled with the apps such as keynote and numbers, i had done a factory reset and I have lost these aps.

Did you sync to a different computer than the one you had previously synced to? If so you need to sync to the original computer. Otherwise you can just restore the last backup you made on the previous sync.

i download the sofware update on to my pc and the next thing i know all my contacts are gone, the only things that have come up on the icloud CONTACTS app is the service call numbers thats it, i have no idea what to do.. i have itunes on my desktop and i looked for them there but i still cant find them, i dont have outlook i have VISTA so its hard for me to look for my contacts.

I have CD's from 2002 that won't load on my pc. How can I get them on itunes without re-buying them?
Pleas help, I recently purchased all of the CD's form Nickleback and some are too old to load onto my computer. They work on cd players fine and the newer ones work on computer so i assume thats the problem. Anyway I wanted them on my itunes but dont want to have to buy them again. Yeah, if they didn't work on anything I wouldn't be so confused. I assumed it was age simply because they are older CD's, but I bought them brand new even though they date back to 2002. And since my laptop is a few years old, I figured it doesn't have the same software as my new PC, but must still be too new for the CD's. To be honest I thought DVD drives jst played all CD's, didn't think they could pick and choose.
Is there anyway to use the barcodes etc on iTunes to get the songs on to it? Or will I have to buy the albums off of iTunes... -
I recently imported pictures from my camera to iphoto. I also synced my ipad. In less than 24 hours my photos are now missing from iphoto even after trying to sync my ipad again. These pictures are from a very special occasion and I did not even get time to edit. Someone help please

My issue, which I resolved and may help you was the following:
I have an IPAD 3. I took over 5 GB of pictures on a third party camera. The car was full so I imported those pictures to my IPAD 3 and deleted them from the SD card. While on IOS 5.x, the photos on the IPAD were there under last imported.
Over the last few days, I upgraded to IOS 6. No issues.
Then, my family wanted to see the pictures from the trip. I went to the IPAD and could not find the photos. It listed 40 photos only. The last imported was there, but listed as empty. When I went into the settings>usage, it listed 5GB + of photos in the photos area. I was confused. I plugged my IPAD into ITUNES, first thinking I would get a backup asap (icloud was full after importing the photos). Then I though I would downgrade to IOS 5.
Also, itunes listed that I had 40 photos only, but 5GB of OTHER data. I was convinced the data was not lost. When I tried to browse the IPAD 3 using windows browser, the photos where NOT in the DCIM folder, so I was not able to simply "FIND" the photos and copy them to my PC.
-SOLUTION-
I downloaded third party software onto my PC called "http://www.i-funbox.com/" I fun box. I had no idea if this would work, but other forums with other issues called out similar products for iphone issues.
When I installed the program, which was free, and so far free of malware, I started to explore my IPAD file system.I found my photos, under IPAD>RAW file system>DCIM>100IMPRT.
-ROOT CAUSE-
I suspect when I upgraded to IOS 6, apple fails to register the IMPORT folder of photos as such, photos. So the file system in IOS looses sight of what is inside the last imported folder. Essentially removing them from applications such as "Photos". Why windows does not seem them, is beyond me. But the program I found did see them in raw format, and I was able to COPY them to my PC. Then I deleted them from the IPAD, because I had no other way of managing this folder in IPAD, and it was using a lot of space. -
I just got an iphone 4s and went to itunes to get all the stuff that I had on my last phone onto my new phone. I think that I have put all my setting for my old phone onto my new phone. My old phone being a iphone 4. Is there anyway I can get my phone back to how I got it earlier today?
No, no one here can help you, & neither can/will Apple. Only Orange can authorize the unlocking of your phone, & typical of most carriers, they will only do so for customers using the phone on their network.
Either establish service with Orange, then request the phone be unlocked, or sell it to someone that can use it on their network. -
Everthing was replaced including the information under iCloud under settings. My iPad now states that I do not have my iCloud account set up on my iPad as on the old one I did not.
Go to Settings>iCloud and set up the iCloud account you were using before by singing in with the same Apple ID. Then turn the data you were syncing with your iCloud account back to On, and if prompted, choose merge.

If you copy files to/from your profile, Firefox must be down. You can copy .json files from bookmarkbackups files because they are not active.
