hiya ive got a iphone 4s and ive got ios 6 and all that and sometimes when i go on some apps they load up and seconds later they close down.
i have reset everything loads of times and still has done nothing.

what do you mean? just try downloading any old app for free and see if it works? if so like i said only some i turn on will go straight back to the home screen but its all mainly games?

When I first got my iphone i plugged it into my friends computer and added songs from their itunes. Now when i plug it into my computer it will not connect or show up in the sidebar in itunes. We have 4 iphones and an Ipad in our family. When we purchase music, I would like for the entire family to be able to use it and then back it up to Icloud. What is the best and cheapest way for this to happen. Should we all have a different apple id or should we use the same one.
You will all need to be on the same itunes account ID.
You can however all have seperate icloud accounts aswel. -
We have multiple devices in our family. On each iPad/iPhone each user has their own apple id for iMessage, Facetime and icloud, but we all sign in to the same apple id for itunes. When one of my kids comments on my shared photostream, it shows my name and not theirs as the commenter. How do I fix that?
CREATE A NEW USER
Go to System Preferences --> Create a New User in Users & Groups
Decide on whether to setup as Admin or Standard User.
Switch to the New User by logging out under the Apple in the Menu Bar or use Fast User Switching
Fast User Switching allows other users to leave current applications and windows open. Depending on RAM, you might need to log out rather than use FUS. -
About 2 weeks ago I plugged my wife's iphone 4S to our pc to update it to IOS 7and backup her iphone info to icloud. When I was done my wife's iphone had my daughter's ipod info on it and I can't find my wife's info on icloud anywhere. My wife has about 6 years of business contacts on her iphone so she is rather upset. Is there a way to recover her contacts?
You don't have to wipe anything, but when you get a chance make sure you backed up to icloud.
What that means is your contacts inside of the phone either physically or liquid damaged. To check
which, you can look inside and if you see a little pink, that would give you a water damage. If you don't
see pink it means that you to many times plugged in that charger the other way or tried to. May be
used some other things to plug in. If you flash the light in you may be able to see those contacts.

I have one apple ID for both my Iphone 4S and Ipad. My Ipad was stolen from me and when I checked the iCloud, it can only locate the Iphone 4S. How can I locate the Ipad device?
Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can only locate your device when it is logged into iCloud and 'Find My Phone' is enabled, additionally the device will need to be switched on and connected to a wifi or cellular network.
Unfortunately, you cannot activate iCloud or 'Find My Phone' remotely. -
Can my family still use the 'find my iphone' app from our iphones / ipod touch to locate each others phone if we have separate apple ids? We were sharing a single apple id but recently we started getting each others texts/facetimes .. I read that this happens when you share an apple id. Will we just have to sign in with the others' apple id to locate their phone ?
Use Find My Friends app instead. Much easier to manage, and you won't need each other's id/pw's to do it. They only need to accept your invitations and vice versa.

I guess I squeezed my entire issue into the subject line. lol When I sync my iphone to my laptop I notice that all my address book pics and iphone pics have become lower resolution, even though I started out with the resolution that I really needed to produce decenty address book printouts. I doubt I can correct the losses of resolution that have occurred but can anyone help me figure out how to prevent future losses? Thank you!
Plugins usually are installed externally to Firefox. However, you can disable them in Firefox so that Firefox does not use them.
SearchReset is supposed to automate the task of resetting certain preferences, but you still can edit them manually if necessary.

Usually it works to choose your preferred search engine from the drop-down. To remove an unwanted search engine plugin, usually the Manage Search Engines... choice at the bottom of the drop-down takes care of it.

When I listen to music on my iPhone and pause it, if I come back to it later, the playlist has started over. I have a 4S running on iOS 7.0.4. Is there any way to keep this from happening so that my playlist will start off where I last was?

IF it is a manufacturing defect and you bought the device from Apple or an authorized Apple retailer, then take it into Apple.

I have a 16GB iPhone 3GS. Tried synching my phone through iTunes (11.0.1 I think... on a 2009 Macbook Pro). Now when I connect to iTunes, it says it does not recognise the content on my phone. Is this because my phone (and laptop) are too old?
Also, when I tried to Restore the settings, an Error Message pops up that says " The iPhone software update server could not be contacted. The requested resource was not found.
I'm trying to free up space on my phone by removing [literally] thousands of old photos which were originally synched to the phone, because I had forgotten to uncheck the photos button when I synched it ages ago.
I have also tried synching it on my 24" iMac (running OSX Snow Leopard). But again, when I try restoring the phone through itunes, it says the file is corrupted. It sggests unplugging the device, and then plugging it in again. I have done this numerous times with no success.
I'm guessing it must be because my phone (and versions of iTunes, and OSX) are all too old.
Please can anybody help.

I am trying to update a 4s. The update did not work for some reason. Now I need to restore the iPhone. When I connect the usb to the computer and phone it says I need to restore. So, I click to restore. It starts extracting the software. But I am continually getting the same error message that it cannot complete for unknown error. I have been working on this for 5 and a half hours. I'm tired, mu husband needs his phone and apple support is a joke and of course I can't find any answers anywhere. Please help!

When I try to send email from my iPad and iPhone it says that I have the wrong username and/or password, but I know they are correct. Can someone help me?
"Your email account" means to tap on the name of your email account. Whatever it is listed as in the settings.
In my mail settings, one of my email accounts is a Comcast account. I tap on the Comcast name and it brings up this window.
Then I tap on the arrow under the Outgoing mail server smtp setting to get to the next window.
In the resulting window, I then tap on the arrow next to the smtp server under the Primary Server setting.
That brings up this window in which I check to make sure that my user name and password have been entered correctly. If those items are missing, enter them in the appropriate fields and then tap done. -
iPhone 5s photos/video,deleting duplicate photos and video transferred from other iPhone 5s & iPhone 4S
I have tried selecting photos and videos to throw them in trash bin, but the trash bin doesn't work when pressing and or clicking on it

GingerHow did you transfer the photos from your other iPhone? If you did it by importing them from the old phone to a computer and then used iTunes to sync them back to the new phone, then you would delete them by syncing again using iTunes but this time change the selection of which photos are to be synced. Each time you sync using iTunes, it sets the non-Camera Roll photos on the phone to match the current settings/selection in iTunes.

How do I find all the purchased items on my iPhone? When I try to update the iPhone iOS while connected to my MacBook it says there are purchased items on the phone that have not been transferred to my iTunes library and that I should transfer them before updating.
