I have a new i phone and for some reason it has picked up a wrong apple ID in the App Store, its OK in ITunes how can i correct this?

The Apple ID for future purchases is in Settings>Store>Apple ID. However, apps have to be updated using the Apple ID used to originally purchase them. This can't be changed. If the App store is asking you to provide a password for a different Apple ID when you are updating apps, it's because this ID was used to purchase it originally.

I paid for it so I'd really like to avoid paying again just to see this movie. Is it because it's on my iPhone? Im wondering why my post hasn't been answered yet. I did file a report with the BBB and I had a rude representative from Verizon call me named Steve. He said I can file all of the reports I want and I will just keep getting calls from him. I can understand why my phone couldn't be replaced because of the small crack. I guess I have to eat that one (but it sucks because the lollipop update is what caused the problems) but what about all of the data overage I had to pay for for trying to fix this phone because of a lollipop update. I dont think it is fair to have to pay that as well. In addition, because I have an east coast phone number but live on the west coast, I cannot have tech support after 8pm. Verizon has cut this off. If all you did was update the Apple ID and not create a new one, then go to Settings, Store, sign out of your Apple ID and sign into the new one. The apps should recognize the update. If you created a new Apple ID, then you have a problem. The apps that are on the phone are connected to the old ID and would need that to update. Apple ID accounts cannot be combined.

I have an i pad 2 and for some reason the wifi switch wont pass to on

just recently the wifi switch on my i pad 2 has stopped working. i have re set all settings wipped the whole i pad and still not working can any body help me out.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app

    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

I updated my iPhone 4 to iOS 6 tonight and initially had the same problem. I could send a text via iMessage only through cellular network; not my wifi. After fooling around with the settings for an hour or so, I THINK I solved the problem...
According to an article I read online, iOS 6 unifies your phone number and Apple ID. Therefore, if someone sends an iMessage to your phone number, you could hypothetically receive it via an iPad or Mac. In my case, I didn't have my cell number listed on my Apple ID account. Therefore, when I connected to my wifi, iMessage tried to access my number via my Apple ID. Since I didn't have my number listed, iMessage subsequently didn't work.
I logged into my Apple ID, added my mobile number. I also rest my network settings under 'settings,' 'general,' 'reset,' and 'reset network settings.' Then, I restarted my phone. Under my message settings, I selected 'send and receive' and made sure BOTH my phone number AND email address were selected. Everything SEEMS to be working fine now...

CD and DVD use different lasers so It's fairly common for one to fail and the other to work fine, that's part of what makes it so maddening. The slot loading drives aren't very robust to begin with, then Apple mounts them sideways and exposes them to the heat generated inside an iMac case. Honestly it's no wonder that they fail as often as they do. I was fortunate to still have AppleCare when mine failed but when/if it fails again I'm going to replace it with an SSD and get an external.

Reinstall the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 which should replace it. If it does not then you will need to reinstall Snow Leopard and then the combo updater.
