I have ARD 2.2 and I can control my mother-in-laws computer

I have ARD 2.2 and I can control my mother-in-laws computer over the internet without any problems, I can do any of the task on ARD that can be done. But on my moms computer I can only observe and control her computer with mine. The settings are exactly the same in both computers sharing settings. All the settings in Apple Remote Desktop are set so I can do all the task on ARD. I have all the users name and passwords. What do I need to do to fix this problem?

the only thing I have
found that is different on the computers is my moms
computer is connected with PPPoe and my
mother-in-laws computer is connected with DHCP.
Should that matter?
But you wrote, "And my mother-in-law and my mother have the same ISP."
That is definitely something to look into, but if your Mom's computer is connected different, there may also be different ports blocked by the ISP. However, I'd find out what her ARD client version number is first. If your ARD admin can't see that, there are other ways, though it should be able to show you that.
Quick way is to go to /System/Library/StartupItems/RemoteDesktopAgent/ and do a Get Info on the file RemoteDesktopAgent in that folder. If the creation date is 06 or later, it's ARD 3.x, 2005 or earlier, it's earlier.
I should note, if it's an older Mac, it may have a Remote Desktop client earlier than 2.x, like 1.2.4, and you'd have to upgrade that to 2.2 in order to do all the functions on it with your 2.2 Admin program.
