I have had trouble with Firefox all week. When I click on your update this am, my free AVG 10.0.1204 disconnected and Firefox tells me it doesn't have any program to connect to it! What's going on???????? This is the 2nd problem I've had this week!!!!!

All of a sudden it will not load my gmail. Restarted my computer, cleaned up history still not working on gmail. recently updated Firefox a few days ago, but I have not had trouble until today with loading gmail. Worked earlier.
The problems are getting worse. I think I will have to give up on Firefox and go with the Google browser. No problems with IE just firefox and I can't take it anymore.

There is a correct way of doing it i.e. click Help | Check For Updates in 3.6.16
If on the other hand, you downloaded 4.0.1 from Mozilla.com and it's working, then you don't have to uninstall anything. The installation will have overwritten the necessary files, so there's nothing to uninstall. -
i just got an ihome system and had trouble with it connecting to my iPhone. I finally got it to work and now my itunes doesn't recognize my phone. My software is up to date on both my Mac and my iPhone and I have shut everything down and restarted. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:

Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi (or AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi) to do a standalone AMDS install.
(If it offers you the choice to remove or repair, choose "Remove", and if the uninstall goes through successfully, see if you can reinstall by doubleclicking the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi again.)
Does it install (or uninstall and then reinstall) properly for you? If so, can you get a normal iTunes install to go through properly now?
If instead you get an error message during the install (or uninstall), let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.) -
I have had trouble with scrollbars using netbeans 5.5.1
I have had trouble getting a vertical and horizontal scrollbar working in my GUI. I am new to programming but I have books but I find them difficult to follow because they follow the old netbeans GUI models that requires all of the code to be written for example the scrollbar has to be created and then the parameters have to be set. However with the 5.5.1 the scrollbar has already been created and the parameters of the maximum the minimum and the event have already been set.
Therefore when you follow the books they explain the whole process rather than the last part which is all that is needed. I have selected the scrollbar and then pressed the right mouse button to get the menu up where I selected Events and then Adjustments, which then displayed the following script,

I have tried to put in a lot of different event handler codes to try to get it to work but I have had no luck. Can anybody help. I've had trouble with my Macbook since the first month I bought it. I've replaced the hard drive 3 to 4 times. Now some programs won't work or shut off by itself. Is it possible to ask for a complete exchange of products?

It would appear that you can ask for an exchange but it doesn't specify any time frame... Hopefully someone more knowledgeable can add to this.

I had trouble with my pc it had an invalid drive. After I repaired it, I went to my Itunes library where everything was listed, but when I tried to play music I got a message the file could not be located. Can I just plug in my ipod and sync it with the library to bring back the files.

It means that the files are not stored on your hard drive anymore. So when you click on a song in iTunes, it comes up saying that it can't play the song. A file is missing. This means that when your hard drive crashed, you lost your data but iTunes some how kept you songs in iTunes. Sorry to have to say this, but it looks like you have to re-download every single song all over again.

I had trouble with a iTunes download. Two songs of an album were not complete. I contacted iTunes and they redownloaded the tunes. My iTunes now has the complete copies. The trouble is my iPhone will not accept/sync the complete copies. It will only play the original incomplete copies of these songs. I've made new playlists and made sure I had the correct items checked to backup/sync. Still only the incomplete copies are played via the iPhone. What's up? What can I do to get to the iPhone to sync the correct version?

- Are they listed in your Puchases history when you log into your account on your computer?
- Are they still available now for purchase? If not then you are out of luck

Firefox does not seem to have fully updated, so I suspect that this file which has been blocked by AVG anti-virus is an element of the update (it was created around 10 minutes after the update began).

Oh no, Robinbird18! This is not what we like to hear about your cell phone. It makes it pretty hard to have a conversation with someone when you can't hear them. If you make a phone call out are you able to have a conversation with someone without any issues? How long has this been going on? Had trouble with iPhone 2.0 upgrade? CHECK YOUR FILESYSTEM!!
I can't find my original post (deleted?), but when I tried to do the first 2.0 iPhone upgrade the day it came out (BIG MISTAKE), I had a lot of trouble. Thanks to an Apple support person who was kind enough to call me, I deleted a file per his suggestion, which made the backup finish to completion and I was happy.
Or so I thought...
Now, several weeks later, I (or rather our IT guy) has discovered that some of my iPhone backup files were corrupted, which has made a mess out of my Macbook Pro (10.4.11)'s file system. It was not fixable with Disk Utility (in the Utilities Folder of the Application Folder) and only partially fixable with Disk Warrior. Nothing appears to be wrong with the hardware (except that my video port was malfunctioning although that problem had started way before the upgrade.)
If you had trouble with the iPhone 2.0 upgrade, I strongly recommend you verify the integrity of your Mac Filesystem. If there's something wrong, you may need expert help in repairing your file system.Wingstat,
It should still work fine. I have the original iPhone and Apple BT Headset purchased about a year ago. I upgraded to the new 2.0 software 2 weeks ago. BT Headset works fine.
There has always been the occasional incident when I couldn't get the 2 to pair. This was always solved by un-pairing then re-pairing the two manually. To do this:
With your BT Headset:
Press and hold the headset's button until you here the 4, rapid descending tones
Your headset is now off.
On iPhone:
Open SETTINGS, then GENERAL, then BLUETOOTH
Under DEVICES, tap on the iPhone Bluetooth Headset link and select UNPAIR.
Note: If your headset doesn't show up here... keep going...
Tap on the DEVICES link again to put iPhone in DISCOVERABLE MODE
Back to your Headset:
Click and hold the button again... when you hear 4 ascending tones, keep holding
Keep holding the button until you hear 5 rapid, short beeps
Release the button: you're in DISCOVERABLE MODE here too.
Back to your iPhone:
You should see the Headset appear on your DEVICES list.
It should pop up and ask for Pairing Code
Enter 0000 on the iPhone.
You should be all paired up for good now.

In fact this happens on some computers. the graph XY causes some trouble when zooming. Sometimes, when I run my main program and open the window with the graph, it has change the displayed it overflows to the edge of the windows. Or somtimes it works but if I zoom the curves disappeared, or is corrupted.
I have this for instance on a computer with win 98 and a ATI graphic board. So I try to update all drivers but noting has changed. I try to decrease the hardware acceleration, and it seems to happen less oftenly.

I think what you are describing is not due to video driver, but rather
to the way the graph works. The LV graph maps points to integer screen
coordinates and draws lines be tween those point. When the numbers are
way to large to fit on the screen, the numbers are pinned to a special
large value. When this happenson one axis but not the other, it causes
the slope of the line to change and potentially not cross the screen.
If this is the same effect I'm describing, it only takes place when you
zoom into the data by a large extent, pushing the other points about ten
to fifteen monitors away. At this point you are no longer
looking at
measured data, but rather just on the interpolation of a line between
two points. The solution if you must have one is to resample your data
on the diagram to contain more points.
