I have music on my ipod that i cant move onto my itunes on the mac, I have music on my ipod that i cant move onto my itunes on the mac
I have a new mac, have downloaded my itunes on to it pluged in my devices and half the music on my Ipod has not transfered. How can i get it into my itune library ?
Plug in your device and wait for it to show up in iTunes. After it does click on it, then go to "Music." Shift+click to select the desired audio files, and manually drag them up to the "music" folder at the top left within iTunes. If that doesn't work we can try something else.

I have an Acer which is Windows 7 and thats pretty much all I can offord at this point very hard being a single Mother with the kind of economy we have today.
I'm really not a high tech kind of person but I do get the consept of syncing music to an mp3 player or a CD to my computer. I've had this Ipod sense 07 and my
boyfriend adds music for me, well now he is out of town and I thought I'd try to do this on my own. I completely removed all of the music I had on the ipod unknowing and then somehow didn't download itunes properly. I absolutely have now clue as to what I'm doing and I can't deal with not having music to listen to when I run arrends or I'm on my way to work. Please help thank youHi Susan,
Not sure why your post ended up in the Apple Server section but here goes.
By default your music should be located in one of the following locations
which you can see by clicking on My Computer
Windows XP - C:\ - Documents & Settings - Username (your name or your login name) - My Music - iTunes
Windows Vista/7 - C:\ - Users - Username - My Music - iTunes
it's unlikely your music has been wiped and more likely that iTunes can't find the library file that tells it what music is in your collection and where it's located. This can happen if you renamed or moved one of the folders above to something/somewhere else. Another idea is to do a search and look for files in a format used by iTunes such as .mp3 or .aac which might show you where they are.
Hope that helps

I just got a new iPod Touch 4th generation for my daughter. I have a iPhone 5 that is already set up on iTunes. The only thing I want on her iPod from my iTunes is music and apps. How do I set her iPod up so that it only gets that information? Do I set it up as a new device? If so will that alter my iTunes?
Thanks.
llfitYou can set up more than one device on your computer, and iTunes will remember the settings for each of them:

But you'll have to use your Apple ID to sync bought media to her device. Disable all other things you don't want to sync like photos, contacts, etc. -
So my old ipod broke two years ago. I got an ipod classic and synched it to my itunes library on my macbook. Then I had problems with my macbook and had to restore it to factory settings. I have kept my eyes open for a way to get my music backed up in my itunes again cuz I figured this ipod would probably break someday too. Anyway now when I look at my 160g ipod classic, it says I have 0 songs, and 0 videos but 27.3g of "other". I looked around for a solution and I tried updating my itunes and then I plugged my ipod in and it said I needed to restore it to factory settings using itunes. I'm not gonna do that. For the most part I have come across this problem with solutions for pc users and I have a MACBOOK. Anyway I haven't even had my ipod hooked up to my computer for a while because I haven't added any new music and when I charge it, I just hook it up to my iphone charger. This literally happened overnight. I mean there is some stuff on there that is irreplaceable. PLEASE HELP!
p.s. Dumb it down a bit for me.Restoring an iPad from an iTunes-generated backup should not require an Apple ID password.
Did you encrypt the iPad backup? If so, then trying to restore will require entering the encryption password. -

Because i have the Ipod Touch 3G and im getting the Ipod4G, and i was trying to get the music to go to the libary but it wouldnt transfer.Because i didnt purchase all my music i download some from other places so not all my music transferred. So i need a different way to get my music to my new Ipod. i was wondering if you just plug it in to the computer and if it would ask you to download the songs from the previous ipod im not sure so please help me out. Thanks! All you have to do is connect your new iPod to the computer that has the library for your old iPod.
When iTunes comes up, click on your new iPod under Devices.
At the top of the Summary Page click Music.
Click Synch Music.
Do the same thing for Photos, Apps, Movies and so on...
Now just synch the iPod. -

Hi I Have an Ipod classic. My problem is that the Ipod seems to sync music ok but I have a number of podcasts downloaded to itunes but these don't sync to the ipod,(they have in the past, but no longer). Has anyone any suggestions please ?
hi gary
have you tried to sync your ipod ,when you click on the side where it shows your ipod?
Click on where it shows your ipod name for example garys ipod, when it opens up the summary page click the sync box, bottom right, and see if that helps.
In the summary page click on podcasts, click the box on sync podcast box (top),read before when the box opens and says are you sure you want sync podcasts.,theres a box underneath, which says automatically include ,make sure thats ticked.
hope this may help madforit -

how do i do the music sync?
The music sync is how you got the music from the computer to the ipod in the first place.
You cannot sync it from the ipod to the computer as I explained in the previous post, unless it is itunes purchased music. -

Hello. I have recently bought a new iPod Touch 4G, however my iMac says, whenever I try to sync my music or update it that this device isn't eligible. How can I fix this?
Try authorize this computer in the store menu in Itunes. This worked for me. It seems that this is an account problem on iTunes.

My children just got iPods touch. I registered them on my account so they can have acces to my I tunes Acc. Now they have all my list of contacts receive my messages have my music my pics, also when they install an app like pandora they have all my stations, things that they don't want. How can I fix this.
As for iMessage, you do Settings -> Messages (scroll down) -> where it says iMessage, turn the switch to off.
As for pictures, you do Settings -> iCloud -> Photo Stream -> My Photo Stream -> turn switch off.
As for apps, you do Settings -> iTunes & App Stores (scroll down alot) -> Music, Apps, Books are all swtiched off.
If you want to the delete the music, you go onto the music app and slide your finger from right to left on the song. -
