Thanks for replying. I am converting from MS Office Word document to Adobe Acrobat Document and opening with Reader XI - sorry my mistake.
I now notice another problem. On trying to open a specific hyperlink in the pdf version I get the message 'Acrobat does not allow connection to: www.biblegateway.com'. Why would there be a restriction?

With an iOS device, the “Other” space in iTunes is used to store things like documents, settings, caches, and a few other important items. You can redownload the stuff you bought from the iTunes Store using the Purchased link on the right side of the homepage.

You can also Transfer Purchases from your iPhone, but you'll have re-import the stuff off that wasn't bought through iTunes because of copyright laws (or search Google for another app).

My game center password was stolen. I figured this out because some of my games changed. I immediately changed the password but it seems my account is still on another person's device. how can i get them to log out?

It seems that someone had access to my apple ID and password. This person logged in to my game center and changed the content of many games. As soon as i discovered, I changed my password so they won't be able to access my account again. Unfortunately it did not work because the other person still had access to my game center account and it seems to me that they need to log out in order for them not to be able to login again with the new password. but how can i get them out? or at least how can i be the only user of my apple ID using game center on my i-pad?

I entered them directly into my phone. Two days ago, I plugged it into my mac and synced it with itunes, but i didn't sync the contacts and they were still in there after.

My Vostro is trashed. I salvaged the hard drive and have it in a cage. I was able to save my bookmarks as an HTML file. How can I import them into a new computer? I asked a similar question yesterday and the solution did not work.

I have the original hard drive in a cage (i.e., I can not boot to it or load applications from it). I can access any file on the old drive from the new computer. I have also saved the bookmark file as an html file. I was given a solution to import from the html file that does not work.

I plugged my old drive into an identical Vostro and saved my bookmarks per the instructions. Later, when I check the file, it was in html format. I admit, I did screw up for not checking. I was just soo steamed with the customer support and going back and forth with phone and offices in Charleston, SC and here in VA, I was just getting frustrated with this phone that i had for 1 week, and couple with the craziness of the hustle trafflc of customers during the holidays.
Just a lot of crazy here, but my new phone is in, I had to get the service center to reset things, as the backup synch wasn't right, and I will get a new card.
I just wanted a new phone that worked, and oversaw the issues. This isn't the first time I had to return a phone, but last time, it was a slower pace, and no issues, and I reminded myself to get the card out.
Got 99% of my contacts. Just wishing there was somehow to track the phone, and have hope, but it was nothing that was life critical.. And cost of new cars is cheap.
Chalk up to "pay attention".... but oh, the frustration of 6 visits to the stores in 32 days I had that phone. Ahh!

Looking at the specs for iPhone 4S (and iPhone 5) it says that the camera is 8MP. Why when I use the iPhone 4S camera, do my pictures save only as 2.5M?

The iPhone 5 (and iPhone 4S) both have 8-megapixel cameras, which means their photos contain approximately 8 million pixels. A portrait photo is 2448 pixels wide and 3264 pixels tall, giving a resolution of 7990272 pixels. A Megabyte is a measure of how much space the photo takes on disk and will vary based on the content and complexity of the photo.
Your iPhone 5 photos are very likely good enough to include in a newsletter, even at a large size. The best thing to do is to print an example to make sure it looks good enough for you.

Parental Controls has always had problems with https sites, no idea if it's fixed in 10.9.x or not.
When you setup your Mac it shouldv'e made an admin account, are you not running from that account, or did you somehow change it to a Managed account???
