I have several 20,000+ point scatter plots that I'd like to graph with a best fit. Whats the best way to do this?
Since they're so large and occupy the same range of y values, I'm kind of reluctant to plot them one over another so a best fit line would, I think, be the most helpful in analysing the data. I'm not quite sure however how to go about this since the data can be random
Well, here's a very primitive way to decimate the data without any fancy algorithm. For this particular case, it looks pretty good. Each loop makes the array 3x smaller, averaging 3 adjacent elements. 4 iterations seem to be perfect. (I have included your raw data in diagram constants).
For a polynomial fit, the more complex the data, the higher the order polynomial is needed to describe it. If it is a simple "banana" (my example above) you're OK with an order of 2 (up to quadratic), if it is s-shaped, you need at least 3rd order, etc. I tried your data with much higher orders (up to 40!) and it did not work.

Select the Inbox folder to see emails.
click on first email to get focus.
Hold down 'Ctrl' key and press 'A' key
This will highlight /select all emails.
they will appear as conversations in the Message Pane
Clickon Delete.
when it has finished - you do have a lot of emails :)
Right click on Inbox and select 'compact' - this removes all marked as deleted emails. -
In the attached vi, de Y values are given for each time as a matrix. The problem is that the y values coming out have to be a 1-dim array, in order to connect this vi with another vi. How can I do this?

can you post your curve fitting .vi?
I think you can do this with the reshape array.vi, and take the 2-D array, find out it's size, and multiply the two dimensions together to get the number of elements you need. That'll give you the array as 1-D, but whether it's in the correct order as you need it is another matter.
It all depends on what the 2-D array is representing, and how much of it needs to go to the "other" .vi

I am currently running OS X v10.6 SL, and am thinking about moving to OS X ML. I have several folders on my display for easy access. If I move to ML will I lose the folders?
Do you mean that you have folders on your desktop?
No, you should not lose those if you upgrade your OS; however, it is recommended that you do make a complete backup of all your files before doing so just in case. I'd suggest a Time Machine backup or a bootable clone so you can restore if necessary.
FWIW, you could also store your folders in your Documents folder and drag their icons to your dock for easy access. -
I have several songs in my ITunes library that show as ineligible to be uploaded to ICloud via Match, even though most of them were purchased through the ITunes Store. Has anyone else experienced this and figured out why?
I had the exact same issue!! Seriously p*ssed me off when I checked out my ITunes purchased items (via my computer) and noticed that most of the additional tracks listed on my IPhone playlist was listed there too. However, I never authorized any purchases!! (I have actually written Apple Support asking for a full refund of all tracks listed on my purchased list)
Be careful when you swipe your finger to the left/right on those "additional" tracks on your IPhone playlist... I'm pretty sure that the cloud symbol is an option to download or automatically buy those tracks.
Solution for the problem:
1 - go to your IPhone settings
2 - choose "iTunes & App Store"
3 - go to "Show All" & "Music"
4 - turn off "Music" by moving the bar to the left (it should be a white color once you turn it off)

Hello, LV 8.2.1 notes indicates the following bug fix:

I am running this version, and still have this behavior. Is there anything I may be missing, and/or certain circumstances that may still be causing this?

I looked at the CAR ID that you mentioned and the issue has been resolved in LabVIEW 8.2.1. To verify something similar, I ran the attached VI and things worked just fine. Please feel free to send me the steps to follow to reproduce the issue you are running into in 8.2.1.

BNN, even though I understand what KT is saying, your thought resonates with mine. When it comes to building and maintaining my website, I see myself more as a photographer than as a web designer. Hence, even though Apple may not be actively developing (and we are guessing on this one, arent we) iWeb, the existing functionality should do plenty of good to me for next couple years at least.
That said, they released a point update a few days back and with the whole cloud thing building momentum and mobile me going for free, why would Apple want to pull the plug on such a fantastic product? -
In LV6.1 the order in which plots are written to an XY graph is in reverse order from the order they appear in the array of plots that is feed to the XY graph control. Thus at places where �Plot 0� intersects �Plot 1�, the �Plot 0� data appears in front of the �Plot 1� data. I would like to reverse this without switching the order the plot array is built-up. Is this possible? I�ve attached a vi that demonstrates what I�m taking about. In my application I have many �highlights� that I do NOT want to list in the plot legend but that I wish to plot �over� the channel data that IS listed in the legend.

I thought you meant that putting another plot in the array but making it transparent was going to help somehow, but now I understand that you mean plotting the �up front� data to a separate XY graph indicator which is transparent and overlaying the original XY graph. I may wind-up doing this. I�m just not excited about linking all the scaling info from one graph to the scaling of the transparent graph and creating the necessary event handling so that when the user scales one graph or changes the auto-scaling, the other graph�s scales gets updated, but perhaps it�s the only way. I made a dumb decision to 'Erase Free Space' on my drive. I now have no free space, I realize because it wrote 0's over all my free space. Is there a way to undo this??? It's more likely a failed Erase Free Space, which creates a huge temporary file; that's why it looks like you have no more available drive space. You can recover from this. See these links

I am using Iphoto 11 ver 9.4.3 on mac using oxs 10.8.5 i want to export calendar projects to an external hard drive. my goal is to store them in an external hard drive so it doesn't use up memory on the mac hard drive. is it possible to copy the specific projects without copying the entire library? what is the easiest way to do this? i have tried export and import but it didn't seem to work.
What do you not understand?
You can duplicate the iPhoto library (command - D ) and delete everything except the project and its photos from the copy and move that

However the calendar takes very little space - it is simpy database entries - it is the photos in the calendar that take space - and for most people you would wnat to keep those photos in your library
you can use a photo in 50 calendars and it still is only one photo in your library - as I explained calenders do not exist as such - they are simply database entries telling iPhotop how to display the calendar - they take almost no space at all

Every time that I try to download my music from I tunes an error message comes up it says, ( err = 450) Make sure that your network connetion is active and try again. What can I do to fix this problem, I have tried everthing that I-tunes has told me but with no luck. Thanks
Try disabling your parental controls. Does that help with the 450?
