I have several apple devices - how do I keep my email from syncing to all of them instead of just mine. Some emails are not appropriate to show up on my kids apple products.
I have a iphone and a ipad 2 wifi that is mine. my kids have ipods and a ipad 2 wifi that is theirs. How can i stop my emails from syncing to all of these devices. I do want the emails on my device but not on the others. I also want to clear the email off of the other devices. Is their a way to do this without physically having the ipad in my possession. The ipad is with my daughter at college and i do not have access to that now. They are all syncing under my itunes account if that makes a difference. I did change the passwords on my email accounts but not sure what to do to fix this. Can anyone help?
You need to have a different Apple ID for each of the other devices.

1. Sync wasn't intended to be used in that manner. You would be better off carrying around a USB Flash Stick with Portable Firefox for use on "strange" PC's.
2. You could open the "Library" {Ctrl + Shift + B} and highlight all those bookmarks and then delete them all at once. But that would also delete all the other bookmarks, and it isn't foolproof. All another person would need to do it to '''''restore''''' a bookmark backup file that has your bookmarks. Beyond that, a new Profile could be created and then the current Profile deleted; but that's "messing with" someone else's computer - an action that is worthy of terminating a friendship over, IMO.
And if that "public" computer was set up properly, Sync should have been disabled. -

Also change your security questions too. If he knows those he can still get your passwords after they are reset. Also if you have other email accounts associated with the accounts, ie a password reset email different from the account you are trying to reset, you need to change those too. He may have his email set up there to receive the password reset messages. One other thing you can do is dump all of them and start over with new email accounts.

Have your husband use his own Apple ID, then have him set the phone up with that ID so the 2 will remain separate.

To delete tracks from an iOS device, swipe from right to left over the song an tap on delete. When using iTunes Match your song will still be available in the Cloud. Good luck!

How do I keep my name from appearing in all caps?
Since I upgraded to ML, my name in my email address appears in ALL CAPS. I've tried changing it to lower and upper case in preferences and in settings. It works for a while but goes back to ALL CAPS in a day or two.
It's extremely frustrating because having one's name in ALL CAPS comes accross as RUDE and SELF-IMPORTANT!I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this is important. I was able to make it work (get rid of the all caps):
1. When you're in Mail, go to Preferences.
2. When you're in Preferences; go to Accounts.
3. When you're in Accounts; select iCloud and Account Information. From here, you may see your name in all caps greyed out in the [Full Name] part. You should also see where it says [Alias] to be a drop down list.
4. Select [Alias] and change it to (Custom). This should allow you to edit the way your name appears.
5. When you finish this part, Save it (by moving to a different section in the preference pane) and it should work.

Most of the time, my iPad does not maintain a connection to the interenet via my wifi router. My PC laptop has continuous connection, so I know it is not the internet connection.
Is there a way to trouble shoot this? Can I purchase a dedicated IP Address for my Ipad? This is beyond aggrevating since internet activity is the main reason I purchased the pad.

Poet MargoI would suggest that you give Apple Tech Support a call and go over your settings under WI-FI and General Settings as well as your router settings etc.. There are all sorts of things I could tell you to try but this forum is not the best place to go over all the numerous settings that could be the issue. Just call them and they will walk you through the proper trouble shooting steps.

No, you can authorize any number of email addresses on your Apple Id and then select one of those to use as an alternate Send and Recieve for Messages. It isn't necessary to use seperate AppleIDs. I use my phone number on my iPhone and an email address on the iPad.

Hello. I am owner of an iPod Touch 5gen. I have an error "iTunes was unable to load provider data from sync services". I tried: All Apple's tutorials including reseting sync data, reinstalling and deleting all of iTunes components including deleting it from system registry. My system is Windows 7 64bit.

Some videos are not showing in my Apple TV playlists after upgrade to 6.0. They were there prior to upgrade and I can play on Macbook itunes and also using using airplay to Apple TV. Anybody else have this issue?
Ok, so I'll try again. Thank you for the idea of looking in Home Videos, which is where all my "lost" videos are listed.
Is there a way to get them to display under their appropriate genre in the Movie section, which is where they all were listed prior to the os6 update? It does me no good to have hundreds of movies categorized in iTunes via a genre only to have them appear in Home Videos on ATV. These are not "home movies." They are legit mp4 movies that worked great under v5. -
Why are the application in the apple store are not compatible with the iPod touch 4g? Apple please realize there are some of us who still have the iPod touch 4g! I just want to know.
Once I find the game i will truly screenshot that it states "not compatible for these models". I just find it RIDICULOUS that my iPod touch is in good condition and some of the applications that I want download sometimes are not compatible with my iPod touch 4g.
