1. Uninstall the adobe 11.0 flash player first even if it shows as a recent install
2. 2. Install adobe flash player 11.0 and make certain you download from the Adobe website not a liason website! Important!
3. Once installed fully and the prompt tells you that you have successfully installed adobe flash player 11.0 …
4. YOU must RESTART your computer regardless of what the prompt states at this point in time
5. Then when you have successfully completed shutdown/ restart and your computer reboots to normal operation…
6. You may receive or you may not receive a prompt stating that something new has been installed on your computer
7. If you receive a prompt after restart follow the prompt and do as it instructs you to.

When opening any video on YouTube, I receive the following notice: "An error occurred. Please try again."
I installed FF 13.01 by means of the automatic updater.
Before the update, I was able to access YouTube videos. After the update, I have not.
Before the update, Chrome was the default browser. I changed this to FF. Since then, I have not been able to view videos through FF.
Chrome accesses YouTube videos.
The video showing add-ons within Firefox does work.

My mac is the OS X 10.8.3. I tried to update the latest Adobe flash player and kept getting 'Actionlist not found.' I have uninstalled, enabled and disabled plug-ins and am still unable to download the update and now have no flashplayer at all. Help!
PS I'm still new to Macs so the more broken down the better.Adobe Flash Player 11.8.800.42 is the most recent version from Adobe. It is a pre-release version. I am using it without any noticeable problems.
The current stable version is Download 11.7.700.169. -

I have always been able to watch videos on line. Now on msnbc it says I have to download the new Adobe Flash player in order to watch the videos. When I try to download it won't do it.
Call Apple and file a formal complaint, it's Apple that is not supplying security or patches to 10.5 users and expects everyone to be computer guru's.
16.5% of Mac users are on 10.5 and Apple just denies security and stability updates to force you to upgrade your OS or your hardware prematurely.
There is a massive botnet of over 600,000 Mac's and the prime location is on 10.5 Intel Mac's which they refuse to fix.
Appe's "solution" is for you to upgrade your operating system to 10.6 or even 10.7 (this will make your machine slow and won't run a lot of your software, another "problem")

IMO 10.6 would be best for you, the least trouble, but you bought a Mac for it to "just work" as your not "into" computers, your just a regular user like most Apple's customers.
So call Apple and complain, then buy the 10.6.3 retail disk and stick it into your machine and upgrade and cross your fingers and update to 10.6.8.
Backup your persona data off the machine first to a storage drive and disconnect.

Once your on 10.6.3 use software update to get to 10.6.8, then you can install Flash.

I have the same problem. OS X 10.9.2 and Firefox 28. When I tried to go back to 12, I realized it is no longer available, I can only get 13, which leaves my pages blank.

I am unable to access information from the internet as I am unable to install the lastest adobe flash player that is now required. Can you please help?
I fould a hack that makes the sites think you have the latest (Intel) version of Flash installed. So I installed it & it works with Firefox, TenFourFox & Safari. Here's the info.
Download this http://www.steelbin.com/FPforFBPPC.zip to your desktop, unzip it, and replace the current Flash Player plug-in which is in your main/Library/Internet Plug-Ins folder, (not the user Library). Save the old one just in case this one doesn't work.

Cant view certain website due to no adobe flash player but cant install flash player.
I'm using ipad2 ios 5.0.1Flash is not, and probably never will be, supported on the iPad : http://www.apple.com/hotnews/thoughts-on-flash/ . Plus Adobe have never managed to make a version of their flash player that works on iOS devices, and they have recently announced that they are stopping development on all mobile versions of it.
Browser apps such as Skyfire, iSwifter, Puffin and Photon 'work' on some sites, but judging by their reviews not all sites. Also some websites, especially news sites, have their own apps in the App Store, and there is the built-in YouTube app. -

You can check the version under Apple Menu > System Preferences > Flash Player. Did you quit and restart Safari after the install?
