I installed Quicken for Mac. I can't find the files to import. Apple imported the Quicken files when I bought the Mac
I have an IMac. The apple store exported my files from my pc to Mac. I installed Quicken for Mac. I cannot find the correct files to import into Qucken. I foound a foed saying Quicken back up but they don not have the correct extention. Also I added an external hard drive and now window comes up to baxk up files.
Which version of Quicken are you trying to install?

Ive had to reboot my Apple TV before I had the option to enable iTunes Match but it did not see my music library. I tried a second reboot and it still says my music library is empty. Our Bridge has been acting very strange. It keeps giving a dialog box of "Bridge encountered a problem and is unable to read the cache. ... purge central cache" For one, I can't find the central cache and two, I've purged the cache in bridge. Shouldn't that help? There's just all kinds of weird stuff going on. I suppose it does have something to do with the central cache, so maybe someone can tell me where to find it.
When I use the burn/dodge tool sometimes it drags and staggers and takes forever to complete whatever I'm burning/dodging. When I try to delete an image from the dock, it won't disappear but it won't display either.
Any help would be appreciated.The Central Cache is the Bridge Cache.
It's referred as the Central Cache to differentiate it from the individual folder's cache or even the individual image cache. -
I have paid for a movie rental, when trying to download but wifi got interrupted , therefore I can't see the movie in the download section , it's disappear and I have paid for it , how can I find the movie and continue the download ?

I can't sync the songs from my computer to my ipod touch. I have gone through the directions on the iPond help page and have not found them helpful. For example, I can't find the autofill button. Can you help?
I have already tried following those steps. I went back and tried to follow them again but they did not work. Some of my songs have synced, some have not. And I am still not seeing the Autofill icon on the bottom of the menu or anywhere else. I fear something has been corrupted here and I need to start afresh.

If it is asking for a serial number for a previous version then you purchased an upgrade version rather than a standalone version. You should be able to determine this based on the price you paid. If you do not own an earlier version then you need to purchase a full version rather than an upgrade. If you did purchase a full version but acquired an upgrade version then you will need to acquire the full version.

I just installed Lion OSX. Where can one find the "domain" for iWeb?
With Snow Leopard one could find the "domain" for one's iWeb in Admin+Library+application support+iWeb. When one changed computers, one simply had to save this domain and then put it in the right place in the new computer. Things have changed with Lion OSX - and I can't find the "domain" for my web site.
Anyone know where to look (Scripts?)

T...The reason Apple has hidden the User/Library folder is that there is not longer any reason to get into it what with iWeb (and iDVD) being discontinued and no longer supported.
We now know iWeb, and iDVD, have been discontinued by Apple. This is evidenced by the fact that new Macs are shipping with iLife 11 installed but without iWeb and iDVD.
On June 30, 2012 MobileMe will be shutdown. However, iWeb will still continue to work but without the following:
Features No Longer Available Once MobileMe is Discontinued:
◼ Password protection
◼ Blog and photo comments
◼ Blog search
◼ Hit counter
◼ MobileMe Gallery
All of these features can be replaced with 3rd party options.
If a site is published to a folder on the hard drive and then uploaded with a 3rd party FTP client to an ftp server subscriptions to slideshows and the RSS feed will be broken. If published directly from iWeb to the FPT server those two features continued to work correctly.
There's another problem and that's with iWeb's popup slideshows. Once the MMe servers are no longer online the popup slideshow buttons will not display their images.

Roddy McKay and I have figured out a way to modify existing sites with those slideshows and iWeb itself so that those images will display as expected once MobileMe servers are gone. How to is described in this tutorial: #26 - How to Modify iWeb So Popup Slideshows Will Work After MobileMe is Discontinued.
The iLife suite of applications offered on disc is now a discontinued product and the remaining supported iApps will only be available thru the App Store from now on. However, the iLife 11 boxed version that is still available at the online Apple Store (Store button at the top of the page) and those still on the shelves of retailers will include iWeb and iDVD.

Did you purchased Premiere Elements 11 from an Adobe download? If so, did you double check http://www.adobe.com Welcome AlaskaBreeCharlie/My Orders and My Products for the download? Or, did you have an installation disc instead?

Can't install AR 11.0.04, "Can't find specified file."
Presently using Adobe Reader X 10.1.6 on Windows 7 64-bit and get an error messge when trying to install Adobe Reader 11.0.04: "Can't find specified file." However, that file is not identified. Help me to install the updated AR.
Thank you for your hekp as I finally have been able to dl 11.0.04. The dl was successful because following your suggestions I initially kept getting the same kind of error messages saying that I had to log on as an administrtor. Well, permissions with Windows was never my strong spot. Never really understood how to handle them. However, as it was early in the morning and my mind was somewhat clear, I started fiddling around with "Taking Ownership" and Security within properties. First, after Taking Ownership of just about anything having to do with Adobe, I still was getting error messages about logging on as an Administrator...but, I am the Administrator??? So, I then took a closer look at Properties>Security and saw that although Administrator was there, none of the control boxe were x'd out. Taking a bold move, for me at least, I then did an editing and x'd in the control boxes for Administrator. Smooth sailing from then on in as everything loaded as it should have. I think I have finally learned how to "Log in as Administrator." Nonetheless, if there is anything you can add to this saga, please do.

when i unzip the oc4j_extend.zip, i can not find the orion.jar under j2ee/home diretory, how can start it?You're absolutely right. For some reason orion.jar isn't in that distribution. However there should be an oc4j.jar file in there, which behaves exactly as the orion.jar file would. So, any place in the documentation where it refers to orion.jar, just substitute oc4j.jar.

Can't find email with serial number for Pages, how can I find the number?
Purchased Pages on 9th September following iWork09 trial, however I must have trashed the email containing serial number
in error. Does anyone know how to find the serial number. Thanks in advance for any reply...You need to delete the trial & then reinstall from the boxed DVD or the Mac App Store. The files to delete are the iWork ’09 folder from the main HD > Applications; the iWork ’09 folder in HD > Library > Application Support & the individual iWork application plist files found in HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences for each user. Yvan Koenig has written an AppleScript that removes the files. You can find it on his box.com account in for_iWork'09 > other_iWork'09 items > uninstall iWork '09.zip.

You have nothing to loose by trying it.
I doubt it will boot but try it anyhow.
You will need to contact Apple for replacement install disks.

I have an old iMac G4 that I want to re-install the OS but don't have the disks. Any idea of where I can find a copy of OS 10.2? I tried installing an 10.4 but the machine won't accept that version of OS X.
Call Apple Customer Support 1-800-767-2775, provide the Serial Number and specifications of the Mac, and for a reasonable fee, they will supply a replacement set of system discs (if available).
The discs will be for the original version of the OS that was pre-installed when the Mac was manufactured.
If they no longer stock the very old Panther OS, try eBay but make sure they are retail disks, not some machine-specific update.
