Nope. Just login to your Mac App store account on your MacBook, under purchased, re-download it. Then, before you install, do this:

Nice to keep around.

    HellO:
If you buy it from the app store, the answer is no:
License from Mac App Store. Apple discontinued iWeb. That's the case for over a year now.
Topics in this forum will tell you that in order to install iWeb you have to find a copy at eBay, Amazon and similar places.
    Or here

No just log into the App Store from the MBP and use the same Apple ID.
You;re allowed to load the software onto as many Apple computers than you own.

  • If I buy numbers for my macbook pro do I have to buy it again for my macbook air?

I'm soon going to working on two apple laptops and I loveeee the concept that true Icloud my work automatically is accessible on all my devices in with the latest changes I made. However for me its a bit unclear if I have to buy keynote, numbers, pages, again for my coming new 2nd laptop. Can anyone tell me this??

You only have to buy it once. According to the Terms of Use, you may install an app on as many Macs as you own or have in your control. Once you buy it an install it on one Mac, open the App Store app on the other Mac, go to the Purchases pane and download it again.

  • I downloaded Lion from the app store on to my iMac and did not save it to a thumb before installing.  Do I have to buy it again to install on my Macbook Pro and iPad or is there another way to do that?

All my electronics are about a year old.   iPad is Model MB293LL (4.2.1) only wi-fi - no phone.
MacBook Pro is  OSX 10.6.8 Build 10K549.  Also have an AT&T iPhone that I basically use as a Palm, since I changed carriers.
    Thank you for your help.
ps: I got an error message and it looks like this did not get posted the first time.  2nd try.

Open the Mac App Store on your MacBook Pro
Hold the Option key and click on “Purchases”
Hold the Option key and click on “OS X Lion” from the purchased app list
“Installed’ should now say “Install” which allows you to download OS X Lion.
This assumes you are using the same Apple ID on both computers.
Lion does not get installed on an iPad. It runs iOS.

  • Purchased numbers for ipad now bought Mac book pro do I have to buy numbers again?

I bought an Ipad and bought Numbers and Pages for it. $19.99 each and now bought a MacBook Pro. Do I have to buy another copy of each for my MacBook Pro? I only bought it for my ipad because I assumed it would be for both and I wouldn't have to buy a word processor suite if I bought Pages. Does Apple nickel and dime you for stuff like this often? that they brag is useable between all devices? Please let me know so I can return this before my time is up.
    Thank you!

Allan is right, the App Stores for OS X (Mac) and iOS (iPad/iPhone) have nothing to do with each other.
It's not a secret, and whoever has told you different was wrong. Many of us have paid for both, but the good news is that you do NOT have to buy the whole suite, but you can purchase only the app(s) you want or need. Try that with MS Office...

  • HT204053 If I purchased Sling Player app for my IPAd, why do I have to buy it again for my Iphone?

If I purchased Sling Player App for my Ipad, why do I have to purchase it again for my new Iphone?

    1. Yes.
    2. No.
    3. Log into the Mac App Store with the Apple ID you used to purchase it and download it again, or if you still have the installer application, move it to the iMac.

  • Can I put an app i bought for my macbook pro onto my iphone without buying it again?

I was just wondering if I bought an app for my Macbook Pro and I want to use it on my iPhone as well, is there a way to download it onto my iPhone without purchasing it again?

The issue is that apps that run on an iPhone run on the iOS. Apps that run on your Mac are designed for the Mac OS X. Two different operating systems.
An app that runs on an iOS based device cannot run on the Mac OS X and vice versa.

  • I just bought my mac with 10.6, do I have to buy Lion?

Just bought my mac two weeks ago, preloaded with 10.6. Do I still have to buy OS 10.7, or is there a way to download for free. Had I been able to wait, I would have, but I am leaving the country soon and wasn't sure the release date on Lion.

No. You can get Lion for free under Apple's Mac OS X up to date program. Go to the appropriate web page for your country.
In the USA go to http://www.apple.com/macosx/uptodate/
    In Canada - http://www.apple.com/ca/macosx/uptodate/
    The UK - http://www.apple.com/uk/macosx/uptodate/
etcetera. Substitute the appropriate country code and it should take you to the right place. Follow the directions on the page.
    Best of luck.
