I just purchased an iPhone 6 and got the iWork-apps for free. Shouldn't they be free for my MacBook now too?

I just purchased an iPhone 6 and got the iWork-apps for free.
I had the impression that I would get a free copy for my Mac too. Is this correct?

Hi ..
Afraid not. Reason being, the apps that run on your iPhone are designed for iOS.
Apps that run on your Mac are designed for OS X.
Two different operating systems.
Those apps must be purchased separately from the App Store on your Mac.
