(I tried to just write this as a reply to someone who had already asked the question whos problem was magically solved after posting the question and the site was not allowing me to post to it so here I am)

Additionally, when I try to sort the photos by date to easily extract the newest photos which I have not yet uploaded, it is unable to put them in correct order regardless of the fact that the date is correct. Only the videos end up in chronological order for some reason while the photos stay in order by name.

Did you install it yourself are somebody else for you?
If you installed them yourself, but do not remember which AppleID you used, try all AppleIDs you might have used in turn.
If somene else set up your Mac for you, ask the person to reinstall it. If you bought the mac second hand, the previous owner needs to contact Apple to transfer the iLife apps. If that is not possible, delete the apps that you cannot update and buy them using your AppleID.

Have you signed out of your iTunes account on the device/computer that you are using and signed back in with the updated password ? That should 'refresh' the account on it, and you should be able to use the account's new password to download updates to its apps

Is there a way to retrive my old apps on my ipod that I lost now that I resored is to original settings and they had updated. It would let the apps back on my 2G ipod that I had because they are now not compatable with the softwear!

the old apps are on my computer but they have had upgrades since they were put on the ipod originally. you think you would get a warning about this when you restored. I was not worried about losing the progress of the apps but i would have been worried about the app it self!!!!!

Then if I download apps with the ipad and I plug it into the Mac, iTunes is forcing me to copy the purchases I made on the iPad to my iTunes. I just got this damaged ipod and have been trying to install it for the last 4 hrs! the person i got it from made no mention of a code and i can't install it to get in it! getting crabby! :(

Are yo getting any error message?
Without knowing that all I can suggest is:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I had 10.6.8 then I decided to migrate to Maverick and after the reebot it is taking longer for the system to start up. Today I had to reset my Imac 3 times. Is there a way to go back from Maverick to 10.6.8?

Yours is the earliest that will run it. Make sure you have more than 15% of your hard disk free, and at least 2 GB of RAM. And short of recovering your Backup, there is no way back. Unless you want to lose all the data on it.

I have been trying to attach and open files on iCal. One minute they will be there, and the next they are gone. Also, it seems to be taking forever for the file to even be opened after downloading it. Is there a way to correct either of the problems?

I have been attaching the files using my Mac, but when I go to look at the file on my iPad (to see if others are able to view the attachment) the attachment is either gone or will not open. It is taking more than 24 hours to have an attachment ready for others to view, and even then sometimes iCalendar shuts down. How can I fix this? I have 2 apple id's and the ipad and mbp id's do not match for the app store.. How to fix?

MBP(Snow Leopard) with apple ID 1
iPad synch's MBP to ID 1 since purchase 14 months ago.
Upgraded to IOS5 and now App store wants me to do iPad app update using Apple ID2
Question:
If I resynch the iPad with MBP(Snow Leopard) will things "reset" so I'm back to ID 1?
I'm about to trigger the upgrade to Lion and am not sure if I have already migrated to iCloud. Would this fix things?
In the end of the day I want to target everything on ID 1 as ID 2 is a .mac account that will go away next June.

All purchases (and their updates) are forever tied to the ID used when they were bought. You cannot erase an ID, you simply stop using it. You will have to allow your son an exclusive account if he wants to use your computer. Can you log in under your ID now ... or do you have to use his? If the latter is the case, he has clearly changed your ID to one that is his.

first of all the iphone 4 is not a 4G phone
second it sounds like your iphone could be locked to another operator then the sim you have inserted
