I keep getting this message, please help!
Could not save Preferences because the file is locked or you do not have the necessary access privileges. Use the ‘Get Info’ command in the Finder to unlock the file or change permissions on the file or enclosing folders. I can not figure this out.
You can find the prefs at:
MacHD/USers/[Your Name]/LIbrary/Preferences/Adobe Illsutrastor CS4 Settings/En_US/Adobe Illustrator Prefs
Run the disk utility in your applications/utilities folder, and choose repair permissions.

These ones are typically caused by underlying problems on the PC that also often cause Windows Updates to fail to install. If we can fix the Windows Update trouble, we can usually get the iTunes trouble cleaned up en passant.
Go into your Windows update and try to check for new updates. If updates install, stock up on the ones you're behind on, restarting the PC if requested to do so. After the restart, try installing iTunes again. Does it go through this time for you?
If windows updates fail to install, go into your Update History and doubleclick the failures. What alphanumeric codes appear for you? (For example, 8007000B.) -

What is the /exact/ error? What are your system details? Are you running 32-bit or 64-bit version of the software (if your OS supports it)?
I assume the message you are getting is about the UI runtimes every application needs some version of, which is typically supplied by Visual Studio, though there are redist versions bundled with many apps.
Unfortunately, Windows library management can be a bit of DLL hell (which Microsoft is making an effort to address in Windows 7.) There are many, many references to this with potential fixes, in Microsoft KB articles.
But the first step is good information so you can work from the known to the unknown. -

In case you are facing issues uninstalling the app's then please try manual cleanup of Adobe from your machine by following the below mentioned steps:
1. Navigate to Applications and trash all Adobe app's and Adobe folder.
2. Navigate to Applications/Utilities/ and trash Adobe Application Manager,Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Installer folder.
3. Go to Library/Application Support and trash Adobe.
4.Go to ~/Library/Application Support and trash Adobe.
Try installing the CC app's and let us know if still the error persists.

why do i keep getting the message "Please contact iTunes support to complete this transaction."? Oh, and I would love to contact support but they are never open for business when this happens to me so I was hoping someone knew what the heck was going on. I love my ipad and hate that I can't get the in app purchases that I need in order to advance to the next level to buy if I don't want to start the whole game again!! Please help. Let me know what you did to bypass this or get an itunes associate on the phone or what ever so I can solve this NOW!?
