I'm about to buy an iMac and am looking to put an old version of photoshop on it. How far back would be compatible EG Photoshop CS2?

If you are a NOT regular and expert Photoshop user, the you really do not need full Photoshop.
As has been stated you can use Photoshop Elements OR Pixelmator, then use LemkeSoft's Graphic Converter to do CMYK conversion.
Graphic Converter is not that expensive an app to add to your arsenal of Mac graphic/art tools.
These two graphics apps are still cheaper together than either an upgrade version of Photoshop CS3 OR much, MUCH cheaper than a full version of Photoshop.

Also, what type of digital art do you do? Do you work more with images or are you a digital painter?
You could look at Painter 5 Essentials or full version of Painter which is my painting app of choice which is a lot cheaper than newer versions of full Photoshop and has CMYK support and, also, has the ability to integrate images into its application and has layers, also.
It's pricey, but it is still cheaper than full versions of Photoshop.
You can look at these, as well and give yourself some other options.

Adobe currently supports Acrobat X and Acrobat XI for Mac and Windows platforms. More details about base system requirements can be found here: Tech specs | Adobe Acrobat XI Pro and the changes to these requirements with the product updates can be found here : Overview — Acrobat and Adobe Reader Release Notes. So the earliest version would be Acrobat X and the Latest would be Acrobat XI.

You can't simply change the details.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button) -

Yes, just install as you normally would using the serial number you originally used.
You did not have to uninstall on the old machine - with your single user license you are allowed to have two activated installations. So feel free to reinstall it if those are the only two machine you plan to have it on and you'd like to have a backup installation. -

Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -
I migrated everything from my Snow Leopard iMac to my new Lion iMac and now when I launch anything in CS5 like Photoshop the Adobe Manager pops up and wants my serial numbers or to start a trial version. I don't have my CS5 serial numbers but wouldn't they migrate over with everything else?

I have purchased Final Cut Pro for my imac and now want to put it onto my macbook air so I can use it when away from my desk. How can I do this
I took away my backup disk with me so just took it from there excellent. I am back home at present working on my imac. When I go to use my macbook air on these projects (when away on boat) is it easiest to simply copy the Project and Events folders in total from my imac onto the other machine and do the same upon my return in reverse? It should recognize it if they are both on the same Wifi network. Have you signed into the Wireless network on your iMac?
Also, you must go into the Printer and log the printer into the wireless network. If the printer was working wirelessly before, this may have already been done.
If that does not help, tell us the model of the HP Printer. -
My browsers (safari and Chrome) continue to open an old version of a website - even though I've cleared my browser history and cache. It's essential I see the newly launched site - rather than the old ones. It's strange it's happening in both browsers.
Please help!You, or someone using your computer, hacked the system to redirect certain URL's. The file modified is /etc/hosts.
The easiest way to fix the hosts file is to restore it from a backup that predates the modification, or to copy the unmodified file from another Mac. If you can't do that, then do as below. Please read this whole message before doing anything.
Back up all data. This is a simple procedure, but if you don't follow the instructions exactly, you could be left with an unbootable system. In that case, you'll have to restore from a backup or reinstall OS X.
If you have more than one user account, you must be logged in as an administrator.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below to select it:
open -a TextEdit /etc/hosts
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C).
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). A TextEdit window should open. At the top of the window, you should see this:

# localhost is used to configure the loopback interface
# when the system is booting. Do not change this entry.
127.0.0.1 localhost
255.255.255.255 broadcasthost
::1 localhost
fe80::1%lo0 localhost
Below that, you'll see some other lines. There should be nothing above the first line "##". If you have any doubt about that, STOP and ask for guidance. Make sure you scroll all the way to the bottom of the document. Scroll bars are hidden by default until you actually start scrolling, so you may not realize that you’re not seeing the whole document.
If the contents of the TextEdit window are as described, close it, then enter the following command in the Terminal window in the same way as before (by copy and paste):
sudo sed -i~ '11,$d' /etc/hosts
This time, you'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. Confirm. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator. Quit Terminal.
That will fix the hosts file. There is now a copy of the old hosts file with the name "hosts~" in the same folder as "hosts". You can delete the copy if you wish. Don't delete the file named "hosts". -
I accidently put the same keyword in all pictures. How to back off from that and just having the right pictures marked?
Once more after some thinking: I have a Lightroom backup from jan 5th. It seems better to use this, but how do I do to force LR to start from the latest backup?

I'm not a Mac user so can't speak specifically about using Time Machine but if it is possible to get to an earlier version of the Lightroom Catalog then I would try that, yes. Backups are another way of doing this. Just make sure you make a copy of your current Catalog before replacing it with another one.

How can I activate an old version of Photoshop that I've loaded on my new tablet? The web activation doesn't work, and when I call the number, it says it's not being used anymore.
