Can anyone tell me if I should change my password? Has anyone been compromised by "heart bleed" within apple?

Probably best to wait for something with an Apple logo on it to post your words. I stopped at the end of last week when no confirmation showed up.
There is evidence that some of the sub-contractors they use to distribute data were affected, so perhaps they are vetting them before publising anything.

I notice the part sentence ... 'any more with this ID etc'. Are you suggesting you have another ID you want to use?
If so, be aware that you can only update any apps you have using the original ID you seem to want to abandon. Your apps are not transferable to any new one.

Your friend will have to remember or find his account id and password, without them he won't be able to re-activate the iPad.
Does he have any of the account's downloads in his computer's iTunes library : Recovering a forgotten iTunes Store account name.
Or has he tried finding it via http://appleid.apple.com : Apple ID: How to find your Apple ID.
If he can find the account id he can then get its password reset via http://iforgot.apple.com
(As these are user-to-user forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple, I've asked the hosts to remove the serial number from your post.)

How do you reset the security questions when you havent used a credit card to make any purchases, only the gift cards. Apple support will not help me even though i know my account and apple id and password?

Have a new computer and now cannot access itunes without knowing the answers to the security questions. Apple support cannot reset as we have never used a credit card when purchasing prior, have only used gift cards. Can provide apple id and password and all other account details but still no help. I have the same problem. I didn't set a rescue email for some reason. To find out weather you hav a rescue password: Go to appleid.apple.com, sign in, go to manage account and then password and security if you do there will be a link below telling you that you can send an email to it. If not the link won't be there. Hope this helps.

All apps are forever tied to the Apple ID that bought them. To stop your id from popping up, you need to delete the apps on his phone, and then repurchase them under his account.

I would imagine this applies to any iOS mobile device. I need to set up a video conference at a local library meeting room. I was going to use my MacBook Pro and Facetime. When I open Facetime on my MBP, it prompts me for my Apple id and password. If I were to enter it when connected to a pulic wifi, is the transmission of my account info visible?
What about when connecting to something like an Optimum Online hotspot where I need a username and password to access the wifi? Is that any more secure?

To change your Apple ID go to Settings>Store>Apple ID, tap the ID shown, sign out, sign back in with the ID you want to use. To change the password go to https://appleid.apple.com/, click on Manage you account to the right, sign in, click on Password and Security on the left, the Change Password on the right. If you change your password you will need to sign out on your phone, then sign back in using the new password.

While downloading the new apple software to my I-phone , a prompt asked me to input my "Apple ID and password", BUT the option to by-pass and continue was also offfered, so I by-passed and did not enter my Apple ID or password because I had forgotten it temporarily and wished to continue the lengthy time to download.
Consequently, when I attempt to add updates to the Apps. on my I-Phone, a new prompt appears stating that my "Apple ID has Been DISABLED." There is no additional language as to why it was disabled in regard to my I-phone. FYI, my "Apple ID and Password" continue to function ., ie are "ENABLED",in regard to my Apple desk top computer.
This disabling of my Apple ID results in an inability to update my I-phone for anything.

If the apps that are on your son's iPad were purchased under his Dad's Apple ID, then signing your Apple ID onto the iPad will not help you with updating those apps.
Also, if the iPad was sync'd with his Dad's iTunes library, then hooking it up to your computer/iTunes library, will require you to reset the iPad, and everything that was loaded under the other Library and Apple ID will be wiped out.
Can you provide a little more info about what was set up under which Apple ID and what iTunes library the iPad was sync'd with?

I don't know about your camera roll, but for photostream just do this:
Go into Settings > iCloud > Delete Account and then sign back in using your Apple ID information.
Make sure to do the same thing with your iTunes and App Store options.
Settings > iTunes and App Store > Click Email and sign out, then sign back in.

There is nothing you can do about but ask the seller for your money back. Without the previous owners applid password, you cannot activate and use that device - there is no way around that. iOS 7's Activation Lock needs to be disabled by the previous owner in order for you to use it - if they cannot (or willnot) produce the password to disable it, you have no options.
They can disable it remotely for you - see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5661 but not if they do not remember their own password.

To keep your apps and other data separate, create a second user account in Windows and backup your data from the phone to this new Windows account:
