I'm confused - call WS from CLIENT

Hello, my problem is :
1) I deploy my WS; some web methods are annotated with a custom annotation (call it "MyCustAnn")
2) this annotation is associated to an annotation processor, that generates a new java file
3) the generated java file should be a client for my WS but I have some problems :
- do I need to generate java artifacts from the WSDL file of the WS? I try to do it launching wsimport from java code but when I launch it the WSDL file of the WS not exists yet, because the WS is deploying!!
- can anyone teach me how to import the WSService class in the client? I am reading tutorial but I'm very confused.
Thank you very much!

OK, so if your current Apple ID using your AOL Username (like johndoe), then you need to log onto Manage your Apple ID and EDIT that AOL Username to a valid email address: Apple - My Apple ID
If you have an AOL email address (like [email protected]), and you are not using that as another Apple ID, you can change the AOL Username Apple ID to that. Otherwise, you can change it to any valid email address (which you will have to verify when you change to it).
Hope that clears it up. Post back if it doesn't!
Cheers,
GB

    Hi
    I tried object[] that was working fine but the requirement for the project

  • When i change a location in wsdl file how to call it from client

    for example I want to call a webservice that is located at http://localhost:8090/Axis/services/SimpleServiceSOAP
    and now i changed it to http://localhost:8090/Axis/services/HardServiceSOAP.
    so when a client will call this service he uses the first location only.
    I want to know how to redirect this first address to second address of the webservice.
    please reply asap

    Hi macharla,
    I'm assuming you have changed only the URL of your Web Service and not its content.
    If you've generated your client classes with JAX-WS, the old URL is hard coded in the class which extends Service :
    - in the WebServiceClient annotation (parameter wsdlLocation)
    - in the initialization of the url variable (data type URL)

    In client server mode you can use RUN_PRODUCT built-in. Lookup help for this built-in for more details.

  • Calling Remote interface from client

    Hi there!
    I am working on a BMP (using weblogic 6.1)
    My problem is - How do I contact remote interface from client. In my jndi tree I have mentioned only Home interface. Right now I am calling my remote interface like this:
    //contact home interface
    Object obj = ctx.lookup("APIHome");
    APIHome home = (APIHome) javax.rmi.PortableRemoteObject.narrow(obj, APIHome.class);
    //creating remote somehow - I got this clue from a website
    rem = home.findByPrimaryKey(new EntityPK("test1","test2"));
    //calling getter & setter methods
    rem.setWidth()
    rem.getId();
    This works...but doesn't make any sense to me. Why should we initialize remote interface as above. Or is there any other option. Can somebody please explain me more clearly about this concept.
    Thanks very much
    regards
    -Manasvi

    The HomeInterface contains two types of methods - create and find. The create methods create an instance of the entity bean(i.e., a record in the database) and the finder methods finds an existing record in the database, constructs an entity bean representing this row and returns the remote interface of this bean to the client for further manipulations.

    Hi
    calling session bean from client side it gives Lookup erroe, it gives JNDI error
    how we know session bean is working. in Admin tree bean statis is reb Flaf, and ID is "Down" how we activate it..

    If you can make a connection using sess_sh, then you know that you have configured your database and listener properly. If it is not working, read the manuals that you can download from technet. They are pretty good, and if you follow the directions, you should see success.
    Good Luck!

    what oleg2 is writins is oke but I think
    it is easier to write you one wrap around this sql-call, because then you have to parse some parameters and do other additional stuff

  • How can I deploy a simple stateless ssion EJB and call it from a standalone client

    Hi,
    I'm creating s simple staless session EJB that has a method that takes a name and prints "Hello" + name. This EJB is in a package called "com.demos.mydemo.ejbs.hello"
    How can I deploy this to OC4J?
    How can I call it from a standalone client(no JSP, no servlets)?
    In Sun's J2EE is very easy to deploy and I don't have to know any XML stuff.

    Nabil -
    Your standalone client needs to obtain certain server-dependent properties. You can provide them in your code or grab them via a properties file.
    For Orion - you need essentially the following setup, filling in your own information...
    Define your standalone client class with "main" etc (this is orion specific - should work for 9i AS as well - perhaps there are some differences)
    public class SomeClass {
    try {
    Properties p = new Properties();
    p.setProperty("java.naming.factory.initial",
    "com.evermind.server.ApplicationClientInitialContextFactory");
    p.setProperty("java.naming.security.principal","server_admin_name");
    p.setProperty("java.naming.security.credentials","server_password");
    // THEN you can get your intitial context reference
    InitialContext initial = new InitialContext (p);...........
    Then go about your business.....
    A good book to get is called "Professional Java Server Programming J2EE Edition" - there happens to be a reasonable amount of Orion/OCJ4 centric information since one of the authors is Karl Avedal - one of the principals behind Orion. Go out to java.sun.com and look at some of the J2EE tutorials - unfortunately a lot of it is hidden behind the J2EE Deployer, but you will get a good sense of what goes into outside-the-container standalone clients.

  • Calling EJB from from a client app

    Hi all,
    I am trying to call an EJB component from portal. The example EJB I have taken is from SDN Bonus Calculator example - Application Server/Web Dynpro/Samples and Tutorials/Using EJBs (20)
    I deployed the EAR file - no issue
    I wrote the following code in a client app and trying to connect to the EJB remotely.
              try {
                   java.util.Properties properties = new Properties();
                   properties.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, "com.sap.engine.services.jndi.InitialContextFactoryImpl");
                   properties.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL, "ux0800:55304");
                   InitialContext ctx = new InitialContext(properties);
                   //InitialContext ctx = new InitialContext();
                   // get ejb home
                   home =
                        (BonusCalculatorLocalHome) ctx.lookup(
                             "localejbs/MySessionBean");
                   theCalculator = home.create();
              } catch (Exception namingException) {
                   namingException.printStackTrace();
    I get the following error

    Hi Sabbir,
    Following code works for me in calling EJB from normal java application. Did you added the jar files to your application?. see the required jar files in end of code.
    Create simple java applcation do the following steps:
    Give JNDI name to the EJB(HelloJNDI)->Add the HelloEJB to HelloEAR ->deploy
    Proxy Program to call ejb:
    import javax.naming.Context;
    import javax.naming.InitialContext;
    import com.sample.Hello;
    import com.sample.HelloHome;
    public class HelloTest {
         public static void main(String[] args) {
                       Hello remote = null;
                      try {
                        Context ctx = new InitialContext();
                        HelloHome home = (HelloHome) ctx.lookup("HelloJNDI");
                        remote = home.create();
                        String result = remote.hello();
                        System.out.print("Result:" + result);
                         } catch (Exception e) {
                                System.out.println("Exception:" + e.getLocalizedMessage());
    1. Go To  Run > Java Application ->New->select your project and select your main class(java program from which your going to call EJB)
    2. Click  next tab ->(x)=Arguments
    paste the following code in VM Arguments
    -Djava.naming.factory.initial=com.sap.engine.services.jndi.InitialContextFactoryImpl -Djava.naming.provider.url=localhost:50104
    replace the server IP address with your server IP address where your ejbs are running.
    Under Class path settings for the program put the following jar files.
    You can search for them from net weaver soruce folders
    or copy from D:\usr\sap\J2E\JC01\j2ee\j2eeclient
    ejb20.jar
    logging.jar
    exception.jar
    sapj2eeclient.jar
    Add Corresponding ejb.jar
    and RUN >>>
    this makes testing of your client programs easier, you can find the error trace on which line and saves lot of time.
    Regards, Suresh

  • Calling EJB from app client

    Hello, everybody,
    I'm very new at EJB and I'm trying to learn it.
    I have created Enterprise Application using Netbeans IDE, I have EJB and APP client. What I want is to connect to my MySql database and get some info from table.
    For e.g. Login and Password.
    How can I call EJB from my client app which connects to my database and gets information I need?

    What server you are using?
    if you use jboss AS ,here is a simple Main class how to connect EJB and access ejb methods:
    package com.david.ejb.client;
    import java.util.Properties;
    import javax.naming.Context;
    import javax.naming.InitialContext;
    import javax.naming.NamingException;
    import javax.rmi.PortableRemoteObject;
    import com.david.ejb.domain.Person;
    import com.david.ejb.domain.PersonRemote;
    public class Main {
         public static void main(String[] args) {
              try {
                   Context ctx = getInitialContext();
                   Object obj = ctx.lookup("PersonSessionRemote/remote");
                PersonRemote pr=(PersonRemote)PortableRemoteObject.narrow(obj, PersonRemote.class);
                Person p=new Person();
                p.setName("david");
                pr.addPerson(p);
                pr.findPerson(1);
                   // System.out.print(br.find(pk).getAuthor_name());
              } catch (Exception ex) {
                   ex.printStackTrace();
         private static Context getInitialContext() throws NamingException {
              Properties p = new Properties();
              p.setProperty(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, "org.jboss.naming.NamingContextFactory");
              p.setProperty(Context.URL_PKG_PREFIXES, "org.jboss.naming:org.jnp.interfaces");
              p.setProperty(Context.PROVIDER_URL, "jnp://localhost:1099");
              return new InitialContext(p);
    }Person is ant @Entity and PersonRemote is remote interfaces, to connect database you have to make datasource file at jboss-4.2.3.GA\server\default\deploy
    simle mysql-ds.xml looks like this:
    datasources>
       <local-tx-datasource>
          <jndi-name>some name</jndi-name>
          <connection-url>jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/dbname</connection-url>
          <driver-class>com.mysql.jdbc.Driver</driver-class>
          <user-name>root</user-name>
          <password>root password</password>
          <min-pool-size>5</min-pool-size>
          <max-pool-size>100</max-pool-size>
          <idle-timeout-minutes>15</idle-timeout-minutes>
          <exception-sorter-class-name>com.mysql.jdbc.integration.jboss.ExtendedMysqlExceptionSorter</exception-sorter-class-name>
          <valid-connection-checker-class-name>com.mysql.jdbc.integration.jboss.MysqlValidConnectionChecker</valid-connection-checker-class-name>
       </local-tx-datasource>
    </datasources>also at resources/META-INF directory you must have persistence.xml like this
    <persistence>
         <persistence-unit name="SimpleEjb">
              <jta-data-source>java:/some name</jta-data-source>
              <properties>
                   <property name="hibernate.hbm2ddl.auto" value="update" />
                   <property name="hibernate.dialect" value="org.hibernate.dialect.MySQLDialect" />
                   <property name="hibernate.show_sql" value="true"/>
                   <property name="hibernate.format_sql" value="true"/>
              </properties>
         </persistence-unit>
    </persistence>

    http://www.google.com/search?q=jdbc+blob
    Blob processing varies between databases; see also examples for whatever database you are using, e.g.
    http://www.google.com/search?q=jdbc+blob+oracle
    If you are storing text data instead of binary data, replace "blob" by "clob" in the searches.

  • Calling Report from Menu (Oracle Forms 10g)

    We have the applications in Forms6i & Reports 6i (Client Server) and migrating to Forms 10g and Reports 10g. We have the menu, from that menu we are calling all the forms and Reports. For especially Reports earlier we user RUN_PRODUCT but now 10g it is not working. How can call the report using RUN_REPORT_OBJECT
    Important things we have some dynamic parameters (input) to the each report. That means when i called the report from the menu i need to get first parameter form to take the parameters and then can be run the report.

    Here is the code to call report from menu in 10g

  • How to use KeyChain API from client-side HTML scripting in Safari on iPad?

    I have a requirement where I need to add client-side scripting in an HTML page to be supported by Safari on iPad that creates a private / public key pair and that creates a CSR (Certificate Signing Request) in PKCS#10 or SPKAC format that can be sent to a certification authority server using form HTTP/POST that will then return the generated certificate.
    I initially thought that I could simply use the HTML 5 tag <keygen> which can do exactly what I need, but unfortunately this tag is not at all supported on mobile Apple devices like iPad or iPhone, so I have to look for another solution.
    I have noticed that the KeyChain tool should be available on iPad using the documented API, but I have no idea based on the documentation whether the API can be called from client-side HTML scripting on iPad.
    Question : is it technically possible using the functionalities and API's exposed on an iPad to implement what I just described in HTML client-side scripting? If so, do you have some links with useful information that can help me on my way?
