I'm getting a lot of crashes with ver. 4.0. The most common is this - js::Shape::trace(JSTracer*) I don't know what it is or where to find info. Any suggestions?

I get about 5-6 crashes a day and this one seems to be the most prevalent. I don't know how to troubleshoot these things.

I have checked the minutes of recent meetings at Mozilla, and they have identified the cause of that crash. The minutes state it will be fixed in Firefox 4.0.1
Pending the result of QA testing, Firefox 4.0.1 is due to be shipped on April 26th.

Sounds like you do have an Exchange account setup on your phone. Have a Gmail or Hotmail account? They can both be setup as Exchange accounts. Have a work email account?

Try to boot into Safe Mode and order this way, or sign into a different user account and try to order as a different user.

You are in Windows; you already have inserted your OS X DVD and run SETUP and installled Boot Camp 3.0.x (shows in Windows control panel: Programs and Features.
Start => Apple Software Update (also in Windows) will download and install updates as well.

Telling people what apps you're using etc will help. One thing that can help with crashes is to reset the device. Hold down the sleep and home keys, past when you see the red power down slider and until you see the silver apple. Let it reboot and see if that helps.
it's a harmless thing that just resets the device and allows it to reboot, often clearing up any errors or glitches.

Given that the file is selected then the next possibility is that you're exporting two files with the same name. When you do this the export breaks down as the second file would overwrite the first. Check the filenames.

It's worked prior to using M. Lion. Any suggestions? Instead of creating different user accounts for the MacBook, it's just easier this way. Or is it? If this is a permanent thing, then I may switch back to Lion. That is simply not possible with Mail, and never has been. Anyone who uses your account can see all messages stored in Mail. The only true solution is to not let other people use your account. Let other people use the guest account, or if you share the machine with someone else, set up a separate user account for that person. This will also solve the problem of remembering the password. It will become a non-issue for Mail to remember your password if nobody else has access to your account.

That's not the workflow that I use. I have my Lightroom preferences set to create TIF images when going to Photoshop. I keep the original raw file and the TIF image (usually reduced to an 8-bit image) and only export JPEG's when they are needed to send to a lab or to send to someone over the Internet. JPEG files are highly compressed. I only create them when they are needed, and they are discarded as soon as they have been used for their intended purpose. I keep the raw file and the Photoshop-created TIF in my library. This requires extra disk space. But I always have the highest quality files available.

You need to reinstall OS X:
Reinstalling Lion/Mountain Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.
