Have you noticed that your iMac's screen is less glossy than normal?
Do you prefer this over having an additional panel of glass making your display overly and unnecessarily glossy?
It may not look as pretty, but I'll bet your screen looks better and sharper and you may be getting a benefit of added heat dissipation. Also, not to mention, less eye strain and/or headaches
You will just have to be a little more careful with the iMac's real TFT screen if you choose this option.
A little more careful cleaning it and making sure no liquids get inside.
It's up to you what you want to do.
You can order the panel, anyway, but choose not to replace it until you sell it or have to bring in for repairs.

Where in the world are you? Name a large city near you and we might know a recycling company that saves older equipment for resale. Seattle, WA - Go Seahawks - has a great electronic recycling location. We have dozens of older keyboards. User groups will know who held on to spare parts.
Then there is the usual retail outlets. Ebay has several listed. Having a rough idea of where you are and what your price range is will help narrow down your choices. -

You could also try jumping in on some of the Mozilla IRC chat channels as was suggested to someone else in another thread.
Also you could also try the [/forums/buddies new contributors forum], it does now have an Admin monitoring and replying. (At the time of the quoted post Admins were almost impossible to get hold of for forum matters )

My iTunes on my iMac says I have downloaded the Instagram app but when I sync my iTunes with my iPad - I cannot locate the app anywhere. Does anyone know where to find it?
the instangram app is not a ipad app it's an iphone / ipod touch app
if you connect your ipad to your computer and start itunes you need to navigate to the ipad and click apps
click on the sort by name dropdownbutton
and change from show only ipad apps to show all apps
then you can install it on the ipad
but it look pretty bad imho being an iphone app it will tiny unless you chose 2X zoom in which case it fill the screen but is pixel'ish

The Mac version is a separate version from the iOS version and has top be paid for separately.
If you buy it from the Mac App Store (MAS) however it is quite cheap and can be installed on all your computers that use the same Apple ID.

You would need to buy it again for the mac. If you buy an ios app then it will automatically download on all of your ios devices, however this is not the case for macs.

There's no know virus that can impact a Mac, but if you run Windows via Parallels or Boot Camp then you're just as vulbnerable as any PC user.

I recently purchased a shutter release remote for my IPAD camera but the cord is only three feet long and I need an extension cord. I purchased a 3 banded AV extension but it doesn't work. I have been told that I need an extension cord that has AV and Mic to enable the remote shutter release to work with the extension cord. Can anyone tell me what the correct extension cable is and where I can find one? Thanks.

I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.

Cann i find such a piece online on apple site and order it or i would need to send my mac to apple "repare" center and wait weeks to get that done ?
If there's no way to order it online i would go to apple shop and ask, but i thought here is the best place to ask first.
