I'm running Firefox 3.6.23. I get the message that HP Smart Web Printing is not compatible.
I'm running Firefox 3.6.23 under Windows 7 64 bit. I want to use the HP Smart Web Printing program but under the add-ons I get the message that it is not compatible with this version. What ver. should I be running for compatibility? I saw at one time the icon on the toolbar but it went away after the next reboot. Help.

SWP Version 4.6 has been known not to work with FF 3.6 ever since the latter was released - I don't know if it worked in the beta's as I never tried any and I can't see any complaints on here.
It is very surprising that HP have not brought out an update, considering the amount of time involved, I suspect that they have now dropped support for this utility. I hope I am wrong because it was exceptionally useful.

The box that pops up says that I don't have the permission to use all the features of this program. When I click on Current User the box disappears and nothing happens...no download.
Try this:
iTunes: Finding lost media and downloads
The problem is that iTunes can't find the music files. The files are not where iTunes thinks they are. iiTunes thinks they are is: iTunes>Prefernces>Advanced. -
I have followed the download instructions twice, told my download was complete, yet still seem to get the old version with the message to download the new version so I'm going around in circles
'''Thank you TonyE''' - I really appreciate your help. The solution for me was to go to the Help menu and select "check for updates" - this worked with no problems. What doesn't work, however, is to click on "update now" on the older version - when I did this I kept going round in circles getting nowhere!
So thanks again and best wishes to you -
On my firefox start up screen, I get the message that I am not running the latest. It asks that I upgrade now. However, under "about firefox," I am running 9.01, the latest version. I'd like to know why I'm getting this message and how I can get rid of it.
Thank you.Hi jerzyguitar,
You may see that message below the Google search box on www.google.com/firefox which is the old Firefox default home page. That page is no longer being maintained by Google.
You should try changing your home page to:
about:home
If you don't know how to change the home page, you should take a look at the Knowledge Base article [[How to set the home page]].
Hopefully this helps -

I downloaded a Firefox notice and now I get Error:Platform version 1.9.2.3 is not compatible with MinVersion>=1.9.2.4 MaxVersion
Do a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
You can skip the step to create a new profile, that is not necessary for this issue.

Your post somehow found its way to a little-viewed forum for an obsolete Apple productivity program. I have asked the Hosts to move you to a more active and appropriate forum for your product.

I recently updated ibook in my Itunes. Now, every time I sync, I get the message that it won't update the ipod as ibook won't run in OS6. Is there any way I can revert the ibook app in itunes so it quits trying to install the current ibook app. I am trying to stop getting the warning message. I am also concerned if I ever have to reinstall the app.
Delete the app from the iTunes library on your computer and then transfer the version from iPod to computer by:

There are/were three problems:
'''1.''' Why, when I open Firefox 9.01 do I get a message that I do not have the latest version when '''Help>About''' Firefox says I do?
'''2.''' Also, with the 8.xx version, I was unable to open in a new window with a right click until I upgraded to 9.01. (Old problem now, but I am curious.)
'''3.''' When I tried to uninstall the older version the uninstaller told me that I had to close the open version, but it was closed according to my taskbar. I also have this problem with Thunderbird.1. You are using the latest version which is Firefox 9.0.1
From your description it sounds as if you may still have the old http://www.google.com/firefox Firefox start page hosted by Google as your homepage. This old default homepage is no longer used as '''about:home''' has been in use since Firefox 4.0
Either ignore the message, change homepage to '''about:home''', change it to another page or leave blank.

phone will not connect with iTunes, so you can not run, and I unlocked it and got the message that it is unlocked and I have to connect with the tunes.
Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430

I can download FF 9.0 but not install it. The same thing happened with FF 8.0.1
Same problem here. I installed version 4.0, then removed it and tried to install 3.6. Now no version Firefox will not install. I keep getting a message that I have to restart my computer in order for updates to a previous version can be installed.
Every time I restart the computer and try to install firefox the same message keeps appearing. I attempted to uninstall the earlier version of firefox using "programs and features" in windows but the same message came up and thus I was unable to uninstall using that method.
