I'm trying to turn on automatic downloads, but I see an alert that says 'This device is already associated with an apple ID.'
I recently bought a new ipod 4 gen 32 G. I had an 8 g .I'm trying to turn on automatic downloads so when I buy a song from Itunes it automatically downloads without plugging it into computer to sync. When I turn on Auto Downloads, It say...This device is already Associated with an apple ID You can auto-download purchases on this device with just one Apple ID every 90 days. You cannot associate this device with a different Apple ID for 30 days. When I click OK it turns th downloads off..Can someone help me? I've returned the 8g to regular factory settings as I'm giving it to a friend.
You have to wait. See:
iTunes Store: Associating a device or computer to your Apple ID
You can still sync the media from your iTunes library

<Email Edited by Host>Hi there
I'm getting a similar problem with my Macbook Pro. itunes match was working fine until two days ago when i created another 'user id' for the laptop and then an itunes account for that user under their profile. Now i cant turn on itunes match on my itunes under my user account. Contacted Apple today who said to use the Express Lane and email the problem and they might be able to make an 'exception' on the account. Otherwise I'll have to wait 88 days to access a lot of my music on the macbook pro. itunes match is still working on the iphone 4S and ipad2.
Can anyone help? The only thought was too re-stream the laptop. Ive already tried deauthorising the other user but it made no difference.
Thanks

It says "this device is already associated with another apple ID" and it will not download previous purchases. This is a new iPad 4 as my last iPad 4 was stolen. How can I fix this issue, can I fix this issue?
Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset and Erase all Content
This returns the iPad to its original state then setup the iPad as new. -
Why when I try to download songs onto my iPhone from my iPad, it pops up and says "This device is already associated with an Apple ID, You can download past purchases on this device with just one Apple ID every 90 days. You cannot associate this device with a different Apple ID for 90 days
(Note, mine says 28 days because I have been waiting for a fair bit for this to go away.)You can't keep changing the ID you use with iTunes, you are limited to once every 90 days.

It's annoying
Okay, can you reply letting me know if the computer was purchased used?, this will help as it would identify the possibility that the prior owner did indeed create some sort of block.
Next, what you are speaking about blocks in regards to downloading 'PDF software'...is it PDF 'software' or PDF files that are blocked?, it appears that maybe it's the PDF files which are blocked at which case it indeed my be programmed into the system.
Please answer these and we can further assist you in reaching an answer. As for this list you have provided, I would need more than simple bullets....if you can provide the location of these 'bullets' and file extension...that would get the ball rolling.

I purchased a tv series and downloaded the first episode, when I went to download the next episode a message popped up saying "this computer is already associated with an apple id.....You can download past purchases on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. You cannot associate this computer with a different Apple ID for 41 days" and won't let me download the rest of the shows even though I haven't changed accounts and I'm using the same account I purchased the shows with.
It's been months, so you may not care anymore, but you can't download songs from multiple Apple IDs over a 90 days period. Sorry, it's not allowed for legal reasons.

Why when I try to re download my music it says this device is already associated with another device and I have so many days to re download my music back? How do I get around this and get my music back?
It is telling you that the device has been associated with another Apple ID. Once an Apple ID has been associated with a device, there is a 90-day waiting period before another Apple ID can be associated with that device. Here is a Support Article that explains the 90-day waiting period:
iTunes Store: Associating a device or computer to your Apple ID

cant access music sored in my icloud when using my lap top. any ideas?
iTunes imposes a 90 day wait period before a device can be associated with a different ID. If iTunes support only removed all devices associated with your ID, this does not override the 90-day wait period. From http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627:
"Removing a device from your Apple ID does not override the 90 day timer. The timer must complete 90 days from the day the device was associated before it can be associated to another Apple ID."
Unless iTune support can override the wait period for you, you have no choice but to wait if you want to download it from iCloud. If your purchases music is on any of your iOS deivces, you can transfer it to the iTunes library on your computer by authorizing your computer for the Apple ID(s) used to purchase the music (in iTunes, Store>Authorize This Computer), then connecting your device to your computer, opening iTunes, and going to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases. -
The rest of this warning message said ...
"You can download past purchases on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. You cannot associate this computer with a different Apple ID for 81 days."

HELP!It's been months, so you may not care anymore, but you can't download songs from multiple Apple IDs over a 90 days period. Sorry, it's not allowed for legal reasons.

I get this message "If you download past purchases with your Apple ID, you cannot autodownload or download past purchases with a different Apple ID for 90 days.
If I use my MobileMe login I have no purchases, so I am using my regular Apple ID. I used my MobileMe login when setting up iCloud because it wanted an email address.
Please explain. The same thing happened to me because I had an Apple ID that was not an email address under which I had made all my purchases and a me.com address that I initially used to set up my iCloud account. If you want to get all your purchases from the Cloud, then you need to do a couple of things: first, change the Apple ID that you purchased all your stuff under to be an email address. You can do that yourself by going to the page where you change your Apple ID. I think it's applied.apple.com but if that's not it, just search for "My Apple ID" in the search box on the support page. Sign in with your existing ID -- the one that is not an e-mail address -- and change it to an e-mail address. Be sure to remember this Apple ID. Then create your iCloud account using this Apple ID. You should be able to get all your stuff to download using this account.
The problem with this is now you will NOT have an iCloud account associated with your MobileMe account. If you're OK with that, you're good to go. I think you still have time to manually download all your stuff from MobileMe.
Apple phone support walked me through this, so if my instructions are confusing you can call them and get them to walk you through it too. It's a common problem. -
Every time I try to play a movie/tv show on my ipad that i've bought but haven't downloaded, a message comes up saying 'This device is already associated with an apple id, you can download past purchases on this device with just one apple id every 90 days. You cannot associate this devicethis device with a different apple id for 90 days'. I have no idea what this means so I will be eternally grateful if someone could help.
Well I changed the email for the same account, however I used '.com' instead of '.co.uk' which obviously caused alot of complications. After about an hour on the phone this is all sorted out now and I am left with one apple id, but this is still happening. If this makes no sense to anyone I don't blame you as it took me a good half hour to get my own head round it.
