I have an iPhone 4S and I keep getting those irritating notifications that tell me I need to upgrade my storage or free up space. I've deleted all I can from my music and photos without losing too many precious memories, but it's come to the point where I think I need to delete backups. However, I'm just worried that I will lose all and any log-in information that I don't remember and app/game progress that was saved to the iCloud. Please Tell me what will happen/what I can do?
If you are asking what happens when you delete an iCloud backup, it only deletes the backup from your account. It won't do anything to the data on your phone or in your iCloud account. If you don't need to backup you can delete it. (If you no longer want to back up your phone to iCloud, turn iCloud backup off in Settings>iCloud>Backup. Then your phone will back up to your computer each time you sync it with iTunes.)

To Avoid Relaying:
If you are sending an email from, say, [email protected], but the return address is [email protected], that is relaying (you are using y.com's servers to send an email where the email "originates" from b.com). Many servers don't allow relaying to prevent spamming.
To make this work go into the email account settings, tap the account "button" that has your email address, go to the Advanced section in "Mail" if there is one, then go to "Outgoing Mail Server", tap it, and then tap "Primary Server", and in the Outgoing Mail Server enter your user name and password. It may say optional, but you need this.
Not all services provide this and the sequence of buttons I describe above may not be exactly the same for each address (look around if different). If you can't set the user name and password, then that email service does not provide a way to get around relaying. -

Hello everyone! Is it possible for me to transfer my iPhone & iPod touch backup data from my PC (Windows 7) to a Macbook Pro? Because I'm planning to switch to Mac soon. I've tried transferring my backup data from PC to PC and it worked (Windows XP2 to Windows 7). I was able to sync my previous data to my iDevices when I plugged them into my new PC. If it is possible, can anybody please tell me how?

You are correct. Transfer your iTunes library, which includes your app and music purchases from the PC directly to your new MacBook Pro. Your photos, contacts, and other information can be transferred also if you use Migration Assistant.

After you sync the iPhone to the PC for the last time, "deauthorize" the PC for music purchases.
When you sync the iPhone to the MacBook for the first time, it will tell you that it is already synced to another computer, and give you the option to erase and sync it to the MacBook. -

If available, use a Firewire cable and put the origin in Target Disk Mode. That's how I rescued all my stuff, all 150GB of it, from my now dead Early '08 MBP to my current one.
With the new crop, I believe you can use the Thunderbolt ports as well. -

If you have multiple devices backing up to the Cloud, you will see all of them listed. You would click on each device to change what is backed up from that device. You can then delete your individual back-ups.
Once you have all your settings to your liking, you can then go back to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup, and click on Back Up Now (bottom of the screen) to create a fresh backup with your new settings.

Okay. So I have an iPhone 5 which I've been backing up with iCloud.. I have a total of 5GB but only 638MB available. This isn't enough room to back up my phone. I don't really want to buy more space so I tried to create some by deleting apps etc but it didn't make a difference. Do I need to delete pictures? I don't have any music.. When I tap Manage Storage, there are two options saying both named Tasha's iPhone, one takes up 1GB and the other takes up 3.3GB. Could one of these be from my old iPhone4 ? Also what happens if I delete these? Will all my apps and pictures be wiped from my phone? Or can I just delete them both then back up my phone again?

NatashaOne of those backups are from your old iPhone, and you will note this because on your device's backup you will see "My iPhone" or similar under its backup name. You can delete the old one without any problem, as you are not using it to store files.
If you delete your device backup, you will lose your backups. If you do this, I recommend you to turn off iCloud backup in Settings > iCloud > Storage and Backup, and back up your phone every time you plug it to your PC or Mac with iTunes -

This is a file that the contents of your computer's memory are written to when your computer goes to sleep. It will always be there, or recreated if it's missing, as long as you have a newer Intel based Mac with the new safe sleep mode.

As a general rule though, you really shouldn't be deleting files from the /private directory without knowing exactly what they are for... the directory is labelled /private for a reason -
