I need create a column with level key...

I need create a column with level key for city column in the location dimension, the same thing for village, ect.

Hi Dapego,
According to your description, you want to add an extra column with level key for city, and then add this column to location dimension as an attribute, right?
In this case, you can define named calculation on the datasource view. Named calculations are Virtual columns that can be added on tables in Data Source View(DSV). This named calculation acts as a Column in your table and this column won't be reflected in
your database.

If I have anything misunderstanding, please point it out.

  • Is it possible to create a Column with Conditional Mandatory with another Column?

    Is it possible to create a Column with Conditional Mandatory with another Column?
    For example
    In a Table we have column A, B, C.
    A is Primary Column.
    B is Optional
    C is Conditional Mandatory.
    A B
    C
    12345 ABC
    OK
    12346 NULL
    NULL
    12347 ABC
    OK
    Only if the B Column has the value then only C column should be mandatory

    I guess you can't create a condtional mandatory column directly. However, you can use check constraint to on the column
    create table YourTable
      A int primary key,
      B char(3),
      C int,
      constraint ch_con check(
                                B
    is not null
    or C is null

  • ORA-02348: cannot create VARRAY column with embedded LOB

    Hi
    This error message I get when I try to create a table from my schema file which has a (sub-) element of type CLOB.
    In my XML document I have an element which needs to become declared a CLOB (because it's > 4000 bytes), in my Schema I define it's element node like:
    <xs:element name="MocovuState" xdb:SQLType="CLOB">
    I can register this Schema file but when I create the table, I get the error:
    ORA-02348: cannot create VARRAY column with embedded LOB
    Does anybody know how to handle this ?
    Marcel

    You need to use the xdb:storeVarrayAsTable="true" schema annotation so that unbounded elements are created at schema registration time as nested tables. Varrays can not contain CLOBs/BLOBS. Use the schema annotation xdb:SQLType="CLOB" to tell Oracle XMLDB to use CLOB storage for the element. See your schema below:
    P.S. XMLSPY is invaluable as it supports Oracle XML Schema annotations.

  • Updateable columns with primary key

    Hi,
    I use HTML DB 2.0 and 10g R1.
    With HTML DB i would like create an application with 2 pages.
    The first page is an report from a table with 2 columns, the first column is datatype number(10) with primary key and the second column is varchar2(255).
    The report should looks like with an edit-icon for all rows and both columns with header.
    My problem is, the report has only 2 columns, not 3 columns and the edit-icon is together with the first table column, the header name is Edit.
    What can I do ?
    The second page should be a form linked from the first page for update, insert and delete rows. It's not possible to use a sequence on column with pk for new inserts.
    I don't know, which sample application has the same content or what I have to do.
    Who can help me ?

    Simply create an application "Report and Form" based on your table and modify it as follows:
    - On the report page, modify the query to include the PK column a second time (using an alias)... if this was based on the EMP table with EMPNO being the PK, the query then looks like this (modification bold):
    select
    "EMPNO",
    "EMPNO" as "EMPPLOYEE NUMBER",
    "ENAME",
    "JOB",
    "MGR",
    "HIREDATE",
    "SAL",
    "COMM",
    "DEPTNO"
    from "EMP"
    where
    instr(upper("ENAME"),upper(nvl(:P1_REPORT_SEARCH,"ENAME"))) > 0 or
    instr(upper("JOB"),upper(nvl(:P1_REPORT_SEARCH,"JOB"))) > 0
    - In the report attributes, move the added column to the desired position (I moved it directly next to the edit link).
    - On the Form page, just change the item holding your PK column from "hidden" to "Text field".
    You may take a look at http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=PK_VISIBLE:1 to verify this is what you're looking for.
    Edit: Oops - I just recognized I cannot update the EMPNO on page 2 since the automated row processing depends on an unchanged PK. However - normally it isn't a good idea to update a PK anyway (since it might be used as FK in some other table(s)).
    It is possible to create new records with manually adding the new PK, so if this is really all you need, then I would suggest you modify your edit page displaying the PK column read-only when editing an existing row and updatable when adding a new record (using 2 items with conditional display, based on the PK being NULL or NOT NULL).

  • How do I create multiple columns with bullets in pages

    I'm trying to figure out how to create multiple columns within a document in which I bullet information...

    At the point you wish to change to two columns, Insert > Columns and then in the Layout Inspector, select the number of columns. After the insertion point, you will also need to insert another Column Change to return the following paragraphs to single column.
    Then Select the text to be bulleted and in the Text Inspector > List tab select the type of bullets.
    Note: This creates two columns that flow together. This can be tricky if you add any text later.
    If you wish to ensure alignment, create a two column text table and remove the lines with the Graphic Inspector > Lines > No Lines option and insert your text in each column and apply the bullets as above.
    This will create a text box - you then need to ensure it moves with the text by electing "Object Moves With Text" in the Wrpa Inspector.

  • How to create a column with increasing numbers in h:dataTable?

    I need to make a table that would have a column with order numbers, starting from 1 and increasing by 1 for every row. I tried using JSTL for this but it seems it is being ignored (as it probably should). My code is below. I know I am supposed to use getRowIndex() with bound tables, by my table isn't bound to anything...
    I could hold the number in the backing bean but that seems like a total overkill.
    Is there a proper way to this in JSF? Could I maybe somehow reference this (meaning tha table itself) within the EL expression?
    <c:set var="month" value="0" />
    <h:dataTable value="#{loansManager.rates}" var="rate">
                <c:set var="month" value="${month+1}" />
         <h:column>
              <f:facet name="header">
                   <h:outputText value="Month" />
              </f:facet>
              <c:out value="${month}" />
         </h:column>
         <h:column>
              <f:facet name="header">
                   <h:outputText value="Rate" />
              </f:facet>
              <h:outputText value="#{rate}" />
         </h:column>
    </h:dataTable>

    Bind the datatable to the backing bean and use HtmlDataTable#getRowIndex().
    You can find here an example: [http://balusc.blogspot.com/2006/06/using-datatables.html#AddRowNumbers].

  • HT3354 How do i create a column with a percentage formula

    Im really struggling creating a line of columns with different formulas.
    colin

    The title of your post and the text of your post sound like two different questions. One is about creating a column of percentages and the other is about a "line of columns with different formulas".  Neither gives enough information about the problem for anyone to provide a good answer, unless we guess at what you are asking. Here is my guess:
    If B2 has a number in it and C2 has the formula =B2*5%, C2 will be 5% of B2. If you copy/paste or fill-down that formula to the rest of the column, C3 will be 5% of B3, C4 will be 5% of B4, etc.
    I have no idea what "a line of columns with different formulas" means so I'm not going to hazard a guess.

  • How to create a column with link to an email?

    Hello,
    I have created a table UI with a certain column that contains email addresses. I would like to turn this column into a link that by pressing it will open new mail message with the default mail editor (In my case it is Outlook).
    How do I do that?

    1. To set a LinkToURL as table cell editor: In the <b>outline view</b>, select the table column, right-click to open the context menu and choose "Insert table cell editor" (or similar). This should open a dialog where you can select the type of table cell editor. Among these you will find LinkToURL.
    2. If you already have a context attribute that stores the mail address, you need an additional (calculated) attribute that returns mailto:<address>. In the get-method generated for this calculated attribute you simply return "mailto:" + <address> as described.

  • How to create summation column with different measures of fact table

    If I have a salary fact table with columns MONTHID | BASIC-SALARY | TRAVEL-ALLOWANCE
    and in Deski, I drag all the three columns to form a horizontal table
    then is it possible to create a summation column to show total salary?
    I don;t want to create a variable because in that case the formula need to be changed everytime there is a new allowance.

    Hello Binayak,
    as you refer to Deski I recommend to post this query to the [BusinessObjects Desktop Intelligence|SAP BusinessObjects Desktop Intelligence; forum.
    This forum is dedicated to topics related to the creation and design of Desktop Intelligence documents such as universe connectivity, prompts, charting, formatting, filter, and formulas.It is monitored by qualified technicians and you will get a faster response there.
    Also, all Desktop Intelligence queries remain in one place and thus can be easily searched in one place.

  • How to create a PDF with substituted key-value and table-values using a template language

    I have about 50 key-values and 10 table-values that I want to substitute into a formatted report template (language can be anything standard, would create a small number of these templates) and then use an Adobe tool to substitute the values into the template and produce a PDF. Preferably the template language would permit some basic conditional logic (if <key #> has value <value> then <show key label here> and <key value here> in close spatial proximity on the form) and permit embedding of a static graphic logo, text with fonts/styles, etc. to produce a polished report but also handle pagination (e.g. enable page breaks or numbering) to be handled automatically.
    What is a recommended template language and product to accomplish this?

    Are you thinking of something like a blank form that you can enter information into, save, and send to another user? If so, what you want is possible. If you want more information, post again and include more details about how you want to use it and how the recipient will use it.

  • Urgent Help Needed - Joining On Columns with Concatenated Values

    I have a challenging issue where I'm trying to join two tables together with a USER_ID column. The caveat is that in one of the tables, the USER_ID is potentially concatenated.
    For example, TABLE1 has 2 columns:
    1) USER ID
    2) USER NAME
    TABLE2 has 3 columns:
    1) USER ID
    2) USER COUNTRY
    3) USER DATE HIRED
    The resulting SQL query is:
    select * from TABLE1, TABLE2
    where TABLE1.USER_ID = TABLE2.USER_ID
    The problem is that TABLE1.USER_ID is only limited to 1 ID per record. However, TABLE2 potentially has concatenated USER ID's.
    In other words, while TABLE1 has a USER_ID = 'ABC123', that same ID may appear in TABLE2 concatenated as USER_ID = 'ABC123;ABC124'
    Obviously, with a natural join, this individual will be dropped from the SQL result-set.
    Is there a "join function" that I can use to say - "whenever I'm joining these 2 tables, as long as the TABLE1.USER_ID appears *ANYWHERE* in the TABLE2.USER_ID concatenated string (regardless of position), then please include this record in the join??
    As of right now, I have total 80 rows. 55 of them successfully are pulled because they have a one-to-one USER_ID correspondence. The other 25 are dropped out because they have multiple concatenated ID's in TABLE2 and only one ID in TABLE1.
    Any advice/help will be greatly appreciated!

    Forgot to mention; <strike>Urgent</strike>How could you forget the "I found love in Slovenia" problem?
    If the keys can be different lengths, then the solution above will match different keys if the one in table1 happens to be a substring of the one in table2. For example, if table1.userid='ABC'1, and table2.userid='ABC123;ABC124', then it will be considered a match.
    To avoid that:SELECT  *
    FROM      table1
    ,     table2
    WHERE      INSTR ( ';' || table2.user_id || ';'
               , ';' || table1.user_id || ';'
               ) > 0And Martijn is right (as usual). Storing several different values in a single column, like you're doing with table2.user_id, will cause lots of problems. Store each one in a separate row of a new table.

  • I NEED A FORM THAT WILL PUT NAME IN ALPHABETIC ORDER.  THIS FORM NEEDS TO HAVE COLUMNS WITH HEADERS.

    I NEED A FORM THAT LISTS NAMES IN ALPHBETIC ORDER ON THE LEFT SIDE GOING DOWN.  THIS FORM ALSO NEEDS COLUMNS THAT HAVE PRODUCT IDENTIFICATION ON THE TOP OF THE COLUMNS.

    Hi,
      Is your question in the context of the responses that you collect (this is the View Responses tab) or the actual form that your end users will see?
    In a nutshell, (1)  a field in your form corresponds to a column in the responses table. (2) the caption text of the form field will be the column header (show up at the top of the column). (3) to list names in alphabetical in your form, you can use choices fields, like multiple choices field or drop down field - you will have to enter the name in alphabetical order manually.
    Hope this helps,
    Thanks,

  • Use of New logical Level Key in OBIEE

    Hi all,
    can anybody tell me what is the use of newlogicallevel key in hierarchies(OBIEE).
    why we need to set a newlogical level key for each level in hierarchies.
    pls explain in detail....
    regards
    bharath

    You may get info as below if you use Admin tool help file
    Level keys. Each logical level (except the topmost level defined as a Grand Total level) needs to have one or more attributes that compose a level key. The level key defines the unique elements in each logical level. The dimension table logical key has to be associated with the lowest level of a dimension and has to be the level key for that level.
    A logical level may have more than one level key. When that is the case, specify the key that is the primary key of that level. All dimension sources which have an aggregate content at a specified level need to contain the column that is the primary key of that level. Each logical level should have one level key that will be displayed when an Answers or Intelligence Dashboard user clicks to drill down. This may or may not be the primary key of the level. To set the level key to display, select the Use for drill down check box on the Level Key dialog box.
    Be careful using level keys such as Month whose domain includes values January, February, and so on—values that are not unique to a particular month, repeating every year. To define Month as a level key, you also need to include an attribute from a higher level, for example, Year. To add Year, click the Add button in this dialog and select the logical column from the dialog that is presented.

  • How to Create Dynamic Columns based on Fiscal Period

    HI BI World;) We are on BI &.0
    I have a requirement to create a time series BI query
    It must take the variable value (range) from the user abd create all months within this range in a time series displaying the key figure value for the respective periods.
    I have so far added the fiscal year period characteristic  to the columns with the key figure under this and the fiscal/year period is on a restiction in the filter area by a variable (range)
    When I run this query it only shows the fiscal periods which have a value for the key figure. Is it possible to show all fiscal periods and have blank columns where there is no value for the respective key figure/period.
    I have tried using master data for the fiscal period but this does not work as has some junk values.
    Any ideas? I need to show alll periods between the dates whether they have values or not.
    Best,
    Stevo
    Points will be awarded.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    Try restricting the fiscal period inside the keyfigure and in the output format try drill across of fiscal period.
    in tne fical period char properties try masterdata relationship option.
    Thanks,
    Arun.
