I need help with using the Make With Top Object envelope distortion.

I'm doing a project for school called "Ocean Of Stars". I have a few objects,a sheet of purple stars and a few blue gradient colored circles. I need to merge the stars and the circles as one object, but when I click the Make with top object command, the color in the cicles disappear. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

His spheres are 3d yours are 2d. See what happens when you revolve a 1/2 a sphere. You will find a way to apply the stars in that same dialog box if you look really hard.

I want to replace the ascii representation with the apostrophe and have the returned data show up as: CREEK's LANE
When I try the query below I get prompted for substitution variable value.
I don't seem to be able to find the right syntax to make this query work.

GeorgeHa! The codes you specified rendered in the HTML, but showed properly when I listed your original posting above. I didn't understand what you meant initially because the 5-character string represenation got rendered as the quote that you said you weren't able to get - a display problem.
You're getting prompted for the substituon variable because of the ampersand; you appear to be doing this in SQL*PLUS. The first thing I would try is to SET DEFINE OFF when using the ampersands to see if that works. If That doesn't work check the docs to delmit the ampersand (I think its a backslash before it but can't remember offhand). Another, harder option might be to use the TRANSLATE function replacing the literal character instead of using REPLACE (though replacing a quote will be a little tricky). If you're on 10g also consider using the advanced quoting

Need help on resolving the issue with adobe output server - error MSG256 & MSG 210 not in .ini file

Hi,
I am using adobe output designer 5.5 for designing the label template and using the Adobe output server for printing process.
In the Jfmerge.ini we given the condition "DiscardUnknownFields=Yes" for ignoring the unwanted fields in the .dat file.
During the process, I faced some issue with the output server in printing the labels.
When the .dat file is placed in the Data folder of adobe, the label is not getting printed in the printer.
The file is move to the error folder and an error file is getting generated which contains the error message as given below:

I assume this is too late to help you, but other might need a hint. I had the same problem, and found some possible causes that I posted on http://codeznips.blogspot.com/2010/02/adobe-output-server-message-msg210-not.html.
It is quite likely that you are missing some double quotes around the path specifying the ini file (-aii), if its installed under "Program Files".

Need help in optimizing the query with joins and group by clause

I am having problem in executing the query below.. it is taking lot of time. To simplify, I have added the two tables FILE_STATUS = stores the file load details and COMM table that is actual business commission table showing records successfully processed and which records were transmitted to other system. Records with status = T is trasnmitted to other system and traansactions with P is pending.

Need help cant use the printer

Does the printer you get for free with the macbook work with airport....
i dont know why but it is not understanding it by the way the printer is hp photosmart c3100.

There is an option, but it's a rather complicated process. If you feel you're up to the task, read on.
You can try using the hpijs driver. You won't get access to printer status or the card reader, but you can at least print over the network. In addition to downloading and installing the two packages from this page, you may have to download the PPD file for the 3100 from this page and install in the /Library/Printers/PPDs/Contents/Resources/en.lproj folder (or the .lproj folder connesponding to your primary language). A new printer model called "HP Photosmart 3100 Foomatic/hpijs" will be available in the Print Using popup.
If Bonjour printing doesn't work, the process gets even more complicated: you may have to use the Advanced mode in the Printer Setup Utility to configure the printer for AppSocket/HP JetDirect printing to port 9100 of the Express. To get access to the Advanced settings, go through the motions of adding a printer in Printer Setup Utility but instead of selecting a printer from the browser, hold down the option key while pressing "More Printers...".
In the resultant dialog, select "AppSocket/HP JetDirect" from the Device popup, give the printer a name, enter a Device URI of "socket://<address>:9100". Replace <address> with either the Express's IP address or its Bonjour host name, which will be the Express's name with punctuation removed, spaces replaced by dashes, and ".local" appended. If you want to be sure to get the right address, use a utility like iStumbler to get the Bonjour host name (minus the ".local", which will still need to be appended). Finally, select the printer model and click on Add.

Thanks for the link. It didn't work at first on any of the devices but then I decided to enter a manual DNS instead of an automatic configuration. Then followed the steps again from your link and it worked.
It is not stable though as I need to reset the device for it to see the airplay. But when it is connected it stays connected for 30 minutes approx.
Any other suggestions to keep it stable would be fantastic but at least in the meantime I have a workaround.

I have gone to my trash and brought it over to my desktop and still cannot use it. Please help!

Try this fix discovered by User photosb189:
From Finder, hold down the option key on your keyboard and click on the Go menu at the top of the screen
Select Library from the drop down menu
Then navigate to Application Support > iLifeAssetManagement > assets
Right click on the 'sub' folder and choose Compress
Drag the resulting zip file to your Desktop (as a backup)
Go to your System Preferences and choose iCloud
Turn OFF the iCloud Photos option
Go back to Library > Application Support and DELETE the iLifeAssetManagement folder
Now, in System Preferences, turn the iCloud Photos option ON
iPhoto should now be able to launch. Give it enough time to re-download your Photo Stream content. if you are missing any of your My Photo Stream photos (more than 30 days old), unzip the sub folder on your desktop and drag that into iPhoto.

Its possible the original owner had an unlocked phone. he was using with GCI. Or that GCI doesn't actually have locked phones. Seeing as they don't even have their own infrastructure but instead use AT&T's I doubt they'd have iPhones specifically locked to them and that would be the reason they do not offer unlocking (because there's nothing for them to unlock). And just to clarify, I'm not saying for a fact its not locked to them. It very well maybe be, but without knowing more about the phone and going by the fact GCI uses AT&T infrastrucure its possible its not locked. But here's no way to say for sure either way.
Trying a Sim card from AT&T or another carrier might just help the OP if its actually unlocked or locked to AT&T rather than GCI.

It sounds like you may have multiple problems, but none of them are likely to be caused by malware.
First, the internet-related issues may be related to adware or a network compromise. I tend to lean more towards the latter, based on your description of the problem. See:

If investigation shows that this is not a network-specific issue, then it's probably adware. See my Adware Removal Guide for help finding and removing it. Note that you mention AdBlock as if it should have prevented this, but it's important to understand that ad blockers do not protect you against adware in any way. Neither would any kind of anti-virus software, which often doesn't detect adware.
As for the other issues, it sounds like you've got some serious corruption. I would be inclined to say it sounds like a failing drive, except it sounds like you just got it replaced. How did you get all your files back after the new drive was installed?

i tried to get the installation disc for the camcorder but mac wont' recognize it becaue it is windows based i guess.

That camera shoots H.264 in an .avi wrapper.
You will have to transfer the files via the Finder.
Get a free copy of MPEG Streamclip and convert them to QuickTime .mov using the H.264 codec if you are presumably editing in iMovie.
Note that your list of video codecs won't look like mine as I have Final Cut Pro, but H.264 is definitely an option for you.
