I need to create an account for my daughter and I keep getting the message that the user id already exsists. When I checked to see if the user id was in the system it told me that it didn't find one. How can I create another account for her?
I do not want to have to assign her another email address because this is the one she has used as long as long as she has had the ipod. She is under my email account but has her own address.What do I need to do to fix this? She got a card for Christmas that I can't put in to an account for her and she cannot use. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!
You must create the account using an Apple device, a Mac (Lion or greater) or an IOS device (IOS5 or greater). Having done that you will be able to sign in from your Windows machine.
FYI, iCal is an application that can display calendars from iCloud (and others) it is not a calendar itself, merely a calendar client. In Windows Outlook is the calendar client.

Thanks, but I've done that several times & it still says I need administraive privileges. I had itunes installed with no problems until I did the latest update. After that it just disappeared, so I tried reinstalling. Now I can't sync my phone. This is so frustrating!

I am using iphoto 6.06 for my intel imac. I have been trying to print pictures from iphoto and i keep getting a message that states " unreadable file: the following file could not be imported. the file is in the iphoto library folder" also when i try to print a picture from iphoto i get a message that says "no page was selected"

Make sure you have updated all of your scanner drivers. Check Software update and check with Epson tech support.
Not sure if the Gutenprint and Gimp-Print for Mac OS X (10.2 and later) drivers deal with scanners. Read the info on their website.
Check Apple's Knowledge Base for Snow Leopard & Lion Printer solutions and suggestions for scanner troubleshooting. Especially if you have an all in one. -

Which particular .msi file does the message go on to say can't be found? (Several different .msi files can be mentioned in this context: itunes.msi, bonjour.msi, AppleSoftwareUpdate.msi, etc.)

I'm trying to install iTunes 10.3 on my PC (windows vista) and I keep getting this message, "There is a problem with this Windows Installer Package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor." I accidentally removed the Bonjour service from my system a few weeks ago, but my iTunes continued to work. Now I have no iTunes and I don't know how to fix it. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!!

Hi Rick,
by "repair" I mean I went to the control panel, option - programs and features, and in the list of all my installed programs I selected "Apple Software Update". On top of the screen you find the options Uinstall, Change and Repair. I clicked the repair button and that did the trick. After the repair I could uninstall the program. I also uninstalled iTunes, Apple Application Support, Apple Mobile Device Support en Bonjour, thus all Apple programs. Then I installed iTunes 10.5 again and everything went fine.

I apologize, I'm a bit unclear on exactly what you are asking. If you are talking about changing to or using a different Apple ID in Game Center, you may find the following article helpful:
Sign in to your Game Center account using your Apple ID. If you don't have an Apple ID or another Apple account, tap or click Create New Account to create an account to use with Game Center.
You can change the account you are signed into by:
iOS: Tap Settings > Game Center.
OS X: Click the Me tab in the Game Center app and click on your Account.

I assume that you are trying to use a debit card ? If it is then I don't think that they are still accepted as a valid payment method in all countries - from this page :
You may be able to use other payment types in your country, like debit and Maestro cards
which implies that they are not accepted in all countries, and there have been a number of posts about them being declined.
For a card to have a chance of being accepted it needs to be registered to exactly the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account, and have been issued by a bank in the country where you and your iTunes account are. I understand what that's like, believe me. And adding problems with an Apple product really adds insult to injury. Trust me, calling them when the lines are open will be really good. They're very nice, and from my own experience they've always found a solution for me. When you're frenzied it's sometimes nice to talk to a person instead of fill out a form. Refer to my post above for their number, but I don't think they open until 9 'o clock Pacific Time or something like that. Good luck!

I believe there is a technique which uses some similar suggestion to unwittingly tempt the user into installing malware, in order to be able to watch some (usually sexually explicit) video, so be aware of this ruse.
The only things I would download would be Perian that extends Quicktime, available here,

and if that did not do it, then try VLC to use instead of Quicktime. -

Yes- it is a Mac. I went through adobes system requirements and re- downloaded supportive software. The notice seems to happen near the end of the down load with the messages above. I'll look into your suggestion. Thank you- appreciated.
