I developer MMI with Visual Basic, and need information about the event CWDataSocket2_OnStatusUpdated

The type of the status is the CWDSStatus enumeration. You can find a list of the states by doing a search for CWDSStatus in the index of the Measurement Studio reference. Here is list with descriptions in case you don't have the Measurement Studio reference installed:
cwdsConnecting - DataSocket is in the process of connecting to the data source or target.
cwdsConnectionActive - DataSocket is in the process of transferring the data or waiting for an update.
cwdsConnectionError - DataSocket encountered an error connecting to the data source or target.
cwdsConnectionIdle - DataSocket has connected to the data source and transferred the data.
cwdsUnconnected - DataSocke
t is not connected to any data source or data target.

How can I possibly get the state out?

I'm facing with a strange records.
I need to get the state information out from 4 column
NameAddresses.
Here is the scenario:
Column NameAdd1 is populated with records like:

So, when Column NameAdd1 has contain State abbriviation and
zip code (xxxxx-xxxx OR xxxxx) then other column NameAdds will be
blank, when ColumnNameAdd1 only contain street name, then the state
for that address is found on the next column which is NameAdd2, the
same thing happen when NameAdd1 and nameAdd2 only contain person
name and stree address then NameAdd3 or nameAdd4 will pick up the
State information and zip code for this person address, etc
What technique could possibly I use to get only the state
from each record from these 4 NameAdd columns? can anyone offer any
thought?

I tried to replace the space with "I" using coldfusion's
replace() and it did not work.
I was thinking to create an array when I can make it into
1234 whatever Avenue|STROUDSBURG|PA|18360

Determining the state of an LDAP connection

I'm in a situation where I need to determine the state of an existing LDAP connection. The code is called from Java servlets / JSP's, and we're having a problem where the client mysteriously disconnects. The stack trace points to:

The peculiar thing is that the InitialDirContext DOES exist, and is not null. Since we can't poinpoint what is causing the disconnects, the next best thing is to to a test against the context to determine if it is still connected.
Looking at this stack trace, I can see a function: com.sun.jndi.ldap.LdapClient.ensureOpen(LdapClient.java:1648)
Googling the source, shows the following implementation:
private void ensureOpen() throws IOException {
if (conn == null) {
throw new IOException("connection closed");
However, this does no good, since the function is private, and the corresponding Connection object is not exposed through JNDI.
Does anyone have any ideas? For now, I'm going to just call a simple 'lookup(...)' to cause the exception to be thrown if the connection is dead.

I was getting this exception on relatively large searches (but not on smaller ones). I was also getting a java.lang.OutOfMemoryError just before it that wasn't part of the stack trace. The server was nowhere near running out of swap, and all the /etc/system parameters (solaris) were reasonable.
Then I found this page:

and changed the way I'm calling the jvm this way:
/usr/local/j2sdk1.4.2_08/bin/java -Xms512m -Xmx512m <java class file>
This solved the problem for me. Something you may want to try, anyway.

What email client? What version of Reader (I can only assume you even have Reader at this point)?

Have you tried simply saving the PDF (it IS a PDF correct?) to your desktop and opening it from there?
Did you get this form from the IRS or did it come from somewhere else? If the IRS again, what version of Reader?

I need help with the session state value items.
Trigger is created (on After delete, insert action) on table A.
When insert in table B at least one row, then trigger update value to 'Y'
in table A.
When delete all rows from a table B,, then trigger update value to 'N'
in table A.
In detail report changes are visible, but the trigger replacement value is not set in session value.
How can I implement this?

You'll have to create a process which runs after your database update process that does a query and loads the result into your page item.
For example

INTO My_Page_Item
WHERE Key_value = My_Page_Item_Holding_Key_ValueThe DML process will only return key values after updating, such as an ID primary key updated by a sequence in a trigger.
If the value is showing in a report, make sure the report refreshes on reload of the page.

Buying a US iPad2 to Use in UK. Do I need to initialise it before I leave the States?

I'm getting my wife an iPad2 for her birthday. I'm in the States right now, and they are about £100 cheaper here. I kow I need to buy an AT&T version for it to work with a UK mircoSIM (Vodafone), but I am finding conflicting info on whether I need to initialise the iPad before I leave.
Does anyone know for sure?

The US prices that you see on the Apple website do not include local sales tax. Legally, an honest person must declare the iPad at Customs and pay import tariffs to take the iPad into the UK. After all that, you will not likely save the £100 that you expect. And if your caught sneaking the iPad into the UK you risk loss of the item. Buy your wife's iPad in the UK when you get home.
It should not matter which country you are in when you initiate the iPad.

Purchased new 4s for my brother in Australia who travels to the States frequently. He has an Aussie iTunes account and well as an Aussie iphone he uses within that country. He needed an American iPhone as he travels to California at least 15 times a year. He is now on my AT&T account as an added line. How do I activate his iphone using my apple ID today, yet still retaining separate itunes accounts for purchasing please?
Will he be able to purchase(apps) and sync(updates) his American phone to his Aussie itunes account? Or will he have to continue to log in using my Itunes account from Australia? (My icloud log in is different, so privacy is not an issue). Obviously we will not be sharing a computer due to a few oceans between us.
I simply want to keep our messages, contacts, calenders private and separate, while giving him the ability to use the american iphone whenever he is here in California...as well as purchasing a few apps when needed.

Thank you Ed but he does have an aussie iphone as well. That be used daily, and this new iphone I bought for him will be used ONLY in the States when he travels. I may just create a new apple ID for him, so he can have his own bubble to purchase purely for his American iphone. At least Apps and Itunes should not be affected by location. Cheers!

You might profit from a visit to a Minneapolis Apple store. With a brand new Mac, I think they will be most helpful - not just with transferring files, but with other advice as well. And I strongly recommend you invest in a back up drive. The Apple folk can help with that as well.

I need to supress the printing of a blank page if the total for an AR Statement is 0 or null.

I have an issue where the XML file for the R03B5001 AR Statement is outputting records with Header information, (name and address), but the total due for the statement is 0. I have been able to suppress the printing of the header, and detail in my template, but it still generates a single blank page. How can I suppress the printing of this page?

Thanks for your answer. Instead of formatting through FireFox, I had to go in and format it via the printer. Duh! Feel stupid not doing this first. If any one else has this problem, I was able to set it up on the printer by going to Printers > Printer Properties > Printer Preferences and set it up. Good luck and thank you for your reply.
